We used Preston's Plumbing & Heating to re-route a gas line, replace some rusted valves, and add sediment traps to appliances in our home. Not only did he complete the job quickly, but the new plumbing was routed very cleanly and the job was completed under the bid price. Preston's Plumbing will definitely be our first choice for any future plumbing needs we have.

PG& E examined my wall heater and diagnosed a gas valve replacement, plus some. A neighborhood general contractor told me to replace the thermostat. I replaced the thermostat with no luck; heater still not working. Macs Stove staff on Broadway Avenue are wonderful and showed me how to check for a bad gas valve. Well, this time PGE were correct. My retired plumber, Mac's stove and Yelp highly praised Preston's Plumbing and Heating for good reason: they are very professional, show up on time without an extra fee, get the job done right and will inform you of all options. Our furnace broke in on December 31st. Great. Who would be available so close to the New Year's holiday? Well, Preston Plumbing was, and I got a real live person who answered my call. Tamara was very sympathetic and got her husband to stop by on his way home. Sadly, the furnace needed parts and so we had to wait. Once the parts came in, our heater was fixed and all was well. I found this small company to be a total pleasure to work with. My homeowner's warranty company agreed to pay the bill (though Preston was not contracted by them) and Tamara was so gracious as to say ""wait until they reimburse you the $900 plus"" and then pay us. Now, that's what I call service! I highly recommend them for their friendly customer service, and ability to fix our furnace.

As a side note, I'm puzzled at the person who rated Preston with one star, saying he was gruff and rude? Are you sure that was Preston? The first time he came to our home, he was very friendly. In fact, I would say that Preston and his wife were some of the friendliest people I've met in the service industry. Anytime I called, the phone was answered. If my call went to voice mail, I'd get a fast return call with an apology that they hadn't answered the first time. Me thinks you have the wrong company, sir.

Preston's Plumbing replaced my furnace when PGE informed me I had a cracked part and CO2 was leaking. This was Thanksgiving week last year and Preston got it ordered and in before guests arrived. And the price was 2/3 the cost of the other quote I received. I had meant to write a review last year and forgot but when I just called him regarding another job on a rental property I was reminded how friendly his wife is and how authentically happy they seem to receive the call and the business. Bravo!

I just moved into my new house and as a good owner I started doing check-ups of all my appliances, including my furnace. I called up PG&E and he determined that there was a huge hole inside and needed the whole furnace replaced.

Luckily we had Home Insurance. Called them up and two days later had Preston knocking on my door to perform a diagnose on it. He was extremely professional and I could tell that he was a seasoned plumber and heating technician.

He was extremely knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He was honest amount exactly how much the extra costs will be (290$), since the Home Insurance company did not cover the additional cost of installation. He went over exactly what he would need to do and how he was going to do it.

I had some issues with the Home Insurance company, so I had to call Preston's main-line to find out additional info on what was going on. I spoke with Tamara (Preston's wife), she was extremely nice on the phone and a welcome attitude/voice after dealing with the Home Insurance guys. She reassured me that everything was on track.

Couple days later, Preston and his son Patrik showed up with my brand new furnace. Installation two about an hour or so, and everything went smoothly. With the first test of the heater...I could feel the heat pumping thru. That's what I call outstanding job. Thanks for everything Preston.

Since then I have called Preston additional times for other plumbing jobs at the house. And all of them have been done professionally without any problems or call backs. It's great to have a local plumber who actually knows what his doing and extremely polite and easy to work with. Thanks.

we have used preston's plumbing for all our personal and business needs. we own a flooring company (miller's carpet one) so we use him all the time on our jobs. he is always on time, polite, professional and reasonable. our customers have all praised his work and he makes us look good what more could you ask for! i highly recommend him for all your needs you will not be disappointed... sharon miller

I called Preston's to have some gas line and heating ducting inspected, and the guy was so incredibly rude I could hardly believe it. Gruff, short, almost grumpy. And he refused to come out and inspect the problem, his reasoning being ""I don't work on something other people have worked on.""

Really? So he only works on brand new installs then, I guess. And since my 20 year old stuff isn't new, I didn't make the cut.

I will certainly never call Preston's again, for any reason.

I just had my furnace installed today. Preston was right on time. It was a smooth process from start to finish. Small local business. His wife runs the office and returns phone calls in a timely manner. I would highly recommend preston and i will be using this business in the future
