Rob H.Used to be a good company but now doesn't return phone calls. Needed them to come back and fix something that wasn't fixed properly in the first place. Oh well.
I had a good experience, Jeff came out and diagnose the water heater is needing a new module for the pilot light. He had one in the truck and replaced it right away. He was such a nice man and very professional and got me all fixed up to how hot water or a shower. Very happy.
Leslie O.First do not allow First American Home Warranty to assign Presidential Drain Cleaning and Plumbing for your plumbing service. Be aware they (Jeff) will tell you it's covered and ""one problem at a time"" and they write up their report and ask you to sign telling you it's all covered only for First American Home Warranty to deny. DO NOT USE, INSIST ON ANOTHER COMPANY FOR YOUR PLUMBING PROBLEM.
Si far I read 2 reviews with the story about the piece of glass? The same thing happened to me , these people were sent by FA , the tech gave me the same bullcrap? He asked me if I had put my hand inside the disposal? Then called out saying "" I found the problem"" I went to the kitchen and he had a very small old piece of glass on the palm of his hand. Did nothing else and said exactly the same thing he said to the other customers posting here "" it needs to be changed, "" I'll write the report , it is a covered item, and we will call you in a couple of days to change it"" then he fed me a bullcrap story about techs that have accents doing this kind of jobs. These people know damm well the item is not covered if there is an object inside. They probably bring the piece of glass with them. The insurance called and told me they had written a report that said they found plastic utensils inside, which is a total lie, they probably want for us to hire them to install a new disposal. I called my own licensed plumber and was told the sa all piece of glass is not the reason why the disposal is not working. I called presidential to tell them they stole from me and have yet to receive a phone call back. I am filing a formal complaint with licensing these people are a fraud and if FA does not fix my problem I'm filing a formal complaint with the department of insurance. I'm also contacting the people that had the same experience to do the same. PEOPLE! DO NOT ALLOW THIS THIEVES IN YOUR HOME! They bring the piece of glass with them and take your money!
Henna T.First American home warranty (completely worthless but that's a whole another story) sent them to come fix our water heater. We were told the heater needs a new thermocouple and the technician came and replaced it. It worked for a minute but we stopped getting hot water again. Contacted the home warranty company again and they sent the same people to look at it. The technician looked at it and said he doesn't know how to fix it and left. We contacted our own plumber. According to him, whoever ""fixed"" the thermocouple nicked a wire and now the whole thing needs to be replaced. We called the first American again and they will not reimburse us because Presidential Drain Cleaning and Plumbing is claiming there's a missing part. How did the unit work all these years without the missing part??? We decided to make another claim, but this time they sent a different company. The technician from the new company confirmed what our own plumber said: the wire was nicked and ripped from the back of the water heater by the Presidential technician who was here the first time. Not only that, he also said the thermocouple was either never replaced or they used an old part. So Presidential charged us for an old part and in the process caused more damage that the home warranty company is refusing to reimburse us for. We are contacting BBB and consumer protection agency regarding this scam company. Giving even one star is generous.
This is a scam, the plumber came to our house to repair a water heater and then wrote a false missing parts report which was denied by the warranty company. This is a big scam, the plumber gets his money (&75) copay and leaves in less than 5 minutes. BEWARE! and read the receipt he give usually it is faint copy and very hard to read. After doing a bit of online search I realized that I am not the only one to get scammed, there is a pattern here. P.S. The guy is very pleasant the first time you talk to him, but will refuse to pick up the phone afterwards.
Joe B.First I was submitted to them by First American Home insurance, I had so many other dissapointing experiences with A/C companies from First American, that I was defeated before even trying Presidential. My water heater malfunction one day it was Ok, the next Niagara Falls were blooming on my garage. They came in in a timely emergency fashion less than 3 hours of waiting. Jeff conducted an inspection. Really detailed. Took pictures managed with the insurance, and I was getting a new Water heater. They also offered to upgrade everything to the California code. They even helped me out by ""shunting"" the pipes or else I couldn't have open my main water supply. I got everything in less than 4 days, changed and up and running. New heater, (mine came with the house about 20 yrs) upgraded the drainage and the accessories. Very professional. David came to install the Heater, he was really fast, and still he guided and talked to me about what he was about to do, and doing. Really it's in my experience a 5- star company.
Absolutely a scam. After reading about glass being found from a First American Home Warranty repair request, we checked our garbage disposal for foreign objects. None were found, but surprisingly the tech found a piece of glass after saying ""wow this disposal is really old and needs to be replaced"". I double checked when he ""went out to go get his tools"", no glass. First American Home Warranty is definitely colluding with these people. We are hiring another contractor to come out and replace the disposal with the hopes that First American Home Warranty will reimburse us.
NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY! I had the exact same issue that Nima had below. Same plumber (Jeff), same dispute of glass, and same home warranty company. He was so quick to call us three minutes after receiving the claim through out warranty company yet refused to call me back after writing a false report to the insurance. He even took days to call the insurance back after I explained his statement was false and called him telling him to reach out. My garbage disposal was pouring water out of a seam on the bottom whenever the water was turned on. But since he found one small piece of glass in the sink he claimed that it was in the machine and caused the leaking. However, the leak was there before the glass and the amount of water pouring out of the bottom couldn't be caused by the glass. Said the same thing to me basically, ""this thing is unrepairable so you need a new one and I will request another one from the warranty company."" insurance refused to cover it saying the same thing ""foreign object not due to normal wear and tear""Now I'm out $75 for something I could have replaced on my own if I knew this was going to happen. I'm still disputing this claim. I called the plumber and not once did he call me back...how unprofessional. What good is a warranty or a company if all they do is take your money. He literally spent 5 minutes in my house, observed the issue and left with my check. After reading multiple reviews with similar issues he has been reported to the BBB and I have told the warranty company if they don't resolve it I will report them as well.
If I could, I would leave ZERO stars. My parents (who are in their 70's) had a plumbing emergency. No use of their bathtub/shower and toilets. Sewage would back-up and come out somewhere else in their small condo. To the point where they had to walk to their homeowners association office to use their restroom. Or get in the car and drive to a nearby restaurant/store to use their restroom. Can you imagine? Through their homeowners warranty company, they were connected with this company, Presidential. Jeff came the next morning on time. That's the END of what he did well. He assessed the situation and determined that he needed to create an access point. He told my parents he needed to check with the warranty company but that he would return to fix it right away. Hours went by...nothing. My parents called Presidential and they gave them Jeff's direct line. They called. No answer, no return call. They waited hours again, same. No answer, no return call. They called the warranty company and they said there's nothing they can do because creating an access point is not covered. They waited until the next morning and called Jeff again. NOTHING! They ended up calling a different plumbing company because they couldn't wait any longer. Even though this meant they would have to pay out of pocket! This gentleman came out within 30 minutes. Assessed the situation and actually FOUND an already existing access point. He snaked the pipes and had my parents using their bathrooms within the hour. STILL they have not heard a peep from Jeff or Presidential! NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! We will be reporting them to the warranty company as well so they can partner with someone else! Be warned!
