I know others have already recommended George Castellanos (310-753-4443), but I just want to say that I can't recommend him highly enough! He is extremely knowledgeable, goes out of his way to be helpful, has fantastic people skills, and is definitely not in it to make a buck off people -- he provides excellent service at a fair price. Fortunately I have not needed his services all that much of late, but he just helped me today with an emergency even though I'm not a ""regular"" (so he probably didn't remember me from the last time I used him) and he didn't charge me for the house visit even though he was doing me a favor and stopping by after his previous job in Palos Verdes (which is not to say his services are for free, but he was trying to help me as a courtesy). Everyone else to whom I have referred him has reported the same high praise, so I just want others to know of this great resource that is available if you ever are in need of a terrific, dependable, reliable and trustworthy plumber.

Wow. Where do I begin!! I was referred to George.by a close friend that had completed a full remodel a few years ago. This guy is absolutely incredible!!!! I can not say enough good things about him. I'm in the middle of a remodel and he worked seamlessly with the GC and other subs!!! Every single attribute u could ever want in a contractor/sub... George has them all!! George Castellanos is a professional, licensed, experienced and knowledgeable plumber whom you will want to call back for all your plumbing issues. I can't believe he's not on Yelp so I'm writing the first review. He has 15 years of experience with new construction, renovation, commercial and residential, and the small jobs you want done right--clearing clogged drains, fixing a garbage disposal, etc. And George is simply great to work with--as a stay-at home mom of two very young kids, I can vouch for his showing up at the door clean, respectful and honest about his work; he'll show you what he is working on, give you all the options if you need to make decisions about how to proceed, and make sure you're completely satisfied with the finished service. I mean COMPLETELY--last winter he installed a brand new water heater that turned out to be factory-defective, and he directly put pressure on his supplier to replace the heater, making several trips out and losing money on the job just to make things right for us.

Our realtor, Nick Peters (awesome also) referred us to George when we bought our first home 2 yrs ago. George inspected our 1950's-era house during escrow, going into the crawlspace, everything--and then made the repairs to bring us up to the modern age. He also did a bathroom addition for us, and numerous other jobs as we discover problems with our old house--today, a clogged drain turned out to be root penetration into the clay pipes leading to the street sewer--ugh. But no matter what unpleasant task, he'll take care of it. I can't say enough good things about our plumber. My only complaint is that he's so busy it can be hard to schedule him, but he tries to juggle his schedule to fit you in.
