Just going to post my experience with Preferred. I was in the market for a new central replacement and was also having trouble with a bathtub drain mechanism that would not open. Preferred sent a plumber for the drain issue and the gentleman came in and went to the drain of which I had already taken the cover off. He applied what looked like Vaseline, wiggled it around and billed me $185.00. $118 for 15 minutes of labor. Sound fair?

Had issues with my plumbing that another company was delaying in repairs. Called Matt at Preferred Plumbing, they sent a tech out right away to address the situation and give me a quote for sewer line replacement. Reasonable price. No additional issues. Maintained contact due to cancellations with the covid-19 pandemic and state closures. Got the work done in one day, replaced the sidewalk and fill gravel for the driveway. Super easy to work with and was able to answer my questions via email or text.

We contacted PP&H to get an estimate on changing a drain.
The person they sent was extremely friendly, informative, and helpful.
The price we were quoted was very fair, we decided to have them do the installation of the shower enclosure as well as the drain work.
He was on time, did a great job, and even came back a couple times for an issue with a dripping shower head .. ( not their fault ) with no complaints or additional charges.
We were impressed with the experience, and highly recommend this company. They will be doing all our plumbing work.

Scheduling a shower faucet fix and draining the water heater was easy. Jamie even taught me how to do the heater drain so I can do it myself next time. The fix spanned two different days because the replacement valve had to be ordered. A little pricey, but I'd like to think I'm paying for the quality fix.

Nice receptionist when calling this company. However, that's where the customer service stops! There was a lack of communication between the receptionist and the technician and on top of that I had to deal with being overcharged and spent additional time at my home trying to sort out the problems and the technician was very confrontational! I was definitely caught off guard. I learned my lesson about calling a contractor that is not a referral from a friend or family member. Use caution if you choose to call this company.

My parents are snowbirds and have a device on their home phone that rings busy if their home gets below 55 degrees. For nearly 20 years, they have faithfully called their home in Portage every day during January & February and the phone rings as it should.

On a super cold day this February, they called and the phone rang busy. Dad quickly called me to stop by their home and sure enough their house was reading 43 degrees. He called Preferred Plumbing & Heating, a company he used in the summer to replace their hot water heater, and they said they could be there early afternoon.

I was very impressed with their service. I was at my office, they called me to tell me that the repairman was about 20 minutes away. This gave me time to drive to my parent's home and wait for him.

Brett quickly found out what the issue, explained it to me in language I could understand, fixed the problem, took pictures (so I could share them with my dad), and waited while the house warmed up.

I know my parents were very thankful that Preferred Plumbing & Heating took care of them so quickly and so was I.
