I have dealt with this company twice now. It was the company my landlady decided to use. They first Time they came to my apartment because of a leaking toilet. The plumber claimed that he didn't have a hacksaw and the screws on the toilet were rusted. He wanted to remove the toilet and install a new wax seal. After he pulled the toilet out he said the toilet was cracked and it needed to be replaced. So he went to Home Depot bought a new toilet brought it back and installed it. After that the toilet leaked more than ever before. They sent the same plumber back to fix it. He said he installed two wax seals and advised me to caulk around the bottom of the toilet and it would stop any leakage. After talking to some of the guys that I work with that are familiar with plumbing they advised me that that would be the wrong thing to do. If the toilet was leaking the water would damage the flooring. It was still leaking after the second visit (more than it was before the original phone call!) so I asked them to send a different plumber which they did. They came back and bolted the toilet down and it stopped leaking. The second time I needed their services for a broken shower handle. That led to many more phone calls telling me when the guy was going to be here, telling me he was going to be late ,having him show up at 9 o'clock in the evening when he was supposed to be there at 9 am and telling me that Home Depot was closed and he couldn't buy the part he needed and he'd be back the next morning (not showing up the next morning!)Just save yourself a huge headache don't use this company!!!

Don't do business with this company. Very unprofessional, old equipment and no knowledge of plumming. They damaged my drainage pipes.

PP&D came out to my house twice to clear out my main sewage within 6 days. I have to pay for both times. The first time I was there to witness what the plumber found. The 2nd time after complaining to the plumber and his manager, they promised me if the plumber found nothing I will not be charged. I was at work and I asked my tenant to watch the plumber and the plumber told her nothing was found except there was a landscape cloth on the dirt. However, the plumber sent me a picture of the landscape cloth and he claimed he found it in the sewage line. I grew suspicious of the plumber because
1) of what my tenant saw
2) the fact the plumber can't collect money from customer if he found nothing in the sewage line
3) took the plumber 4-5 hours to send me the picture of what he found.
4) talked to the manager about why I have to pay again with 6 days for the same service and he accused me why I called 6 days later when the problem happened in 3 days.
5) the plumber are paid by commission; I strongly feel because PP&D's plumber are pay by commission, customers will have to pay for all service provided by PP&D even if it is PP&D's fault.
I will never use them again.

I am a HAPPY customer after today. I called several times to get help for work that the company done for me a month ago which was very frustrating. So I tried my luck today and I was pleased! Very professional and understanding. She quickly asked what I needed and help me right away; with me on the phone to ensure that I received what I needed. Also ensure me to always ask for her if I needed anything else in the near future. GREAT SERVICE. Ask for Michelle ([email protected]). Very pleasant voice.

Scheduled an appointment for the afternoon. They were a no show and did not call me. When I did call them I got hung up on. Not only did my problem not get fixed I did not call other companies for help because I thought they were coming

This outfit is about the worst ever. Our story goes, we called for service due to a backup the first guy shows up without the proper tools. It takes him over 4 hours to try and fix the problem. He walks down the street to find sink holes he takes off the toilet and does not put back properly he tries to run the line to the street and fails. After spending $400+ for the disservice, it worked for a week and the problem returned. Called because under their warranty, new guy shows up and fixes it temporarily. After he left the problem continues with gurgling in the pipes and slow drainage. I then decided to call the manager, after a bunch of excuses, he said he would send someone out to fix the toilet and run a camera to see the problem for free, what a joke they lied. $250 to run the camera so i opted out. He fixed the screws on the toilet and it started to flow slow and there was a leak. Called back to the manager, after waiting 10 minutes on the line, he said the plumber will show back up, no show. This company is the worst, try using Absolute Plumbing where the prices are reasonable and the plumbers are honest to do business with.

The two stars is simply for the outrageous hourly labor cost- $165/hr!?! We had to get our hot water heater fixed (which was under warranty) the parts were covered, but was floored when quoted $495 for a total of 3 hours of labor. The techs (Phil and Eric) were polite, hard working and professional- certainly felt they worked hard on our behalf to get the hot water heater back to working. When Eric provided that unbelievable hourly rate, certainly felt way over charged knowing that we needed hot water (not fun having no hot water for multiple days). I wish there was way more transparency in you labor charges- it is unfortunate that a bad taste is left in my mouth after what was positive interactions with the company. So proceed with caution when using this company!! Great workers, just outrageous, unscrupulous labor charges.

Terrible customer service. Was told between 1 & 2pm. So I took off work. At 2:30 they called to say that because of high call volume, they couldnt make it out today. Was that before or after I had called? They offered me 10% off if I would reschedule for the next day at 9 am. Then at 10:30 am I called because no one was there. They told me around 3. Then just showed up at 12:30. The tech made quick work of my clogged drain. $155 went down to $139.50 because they missed 2 appointments, but wouldnt take my $20 off any service coupon that I printed off their website. They said if I would have told them I had that, they would not have had offered the 10% off for not showing up twice. So I got $15.50 off for my inconvenience instead of $20 off for the coupon. Someone was supposed to call me after the weekend to discuss, but i guess not.

A floor sink in my restaurant bar was not draining. I called preferred plumbing after another drain and sewer service let me down. Jose showed up before I even knew to expect him! Cleared the problem quickly! Great guy, and solved my drain problem! Happy to recommend them!

I called Preferred Plumbing last night because my hot water heater was leaking and I needed a repair/replacement as soon as possible. At first they said they would send someone to my house at 10:45 the following morning (a Saturday). They later called back and said that Eric would come between 8:45 AM and 9:45 AM. The doorbell rang at 10 AM. I opened it and a man just stood there looking at me. He didn't say a word. I said, ""Yes, who are you, please?"" He said: ""I'm Eric."" He didn't even say what company he was from. Simply, ""I'm Eric."" I said ""Well, Eric, I'm going to call another company because you're late."" He shrugged his shoulders, said ""No problem"" and walked away. Extremely rude and unprofessional. He was not apologetic at all. I definitely do not recommend this company. Would give 0 stars if allowed.
