We had called a different plumbing company for a leak from our water heater. Over the phone I was told it would either be a valve ($375) or we needed a new water heater ($1,950). When the plumber arrived no diagnostics were performed and the valve was replaced. The water heater still leaked. I called the company and was told I needed a new water heater. They would give me 10% off the $1,950 quoted. Thankfully I called Preferred Home Services! Diagnostics were done. They found our water pressure was extremely high. They replaced the expansion tank and the PRV at the street. No leaks! If I had gone with the previous company I would have still needed the expansion tank and PRV replaced on top of a new water heater. I recommend them and would use again. I'm confident if something fails, they would stand behind their work.

We had Chris Davis come out shortly after we moved in to the home for an AC inspection and adding a few upgrades to our unit. We had been getting an error that turned out to be due to wiring in the attic not being set and capped properly. He spent quite a bit of time in our attic fixing all the wires instead of just the one causing the lose connection and subsequent error. 1 year later and everything is running smoothly. We've had no issues since their visit. We are very appreciative of his professionalism, quality work, and the company. Their employees made the process easy.

We had them come out and give a quote along with other local HVAC providers. The salesman seemed knowledgeable, explained the offer in detail but just pushy on getting the job. After we got all 8 quotes we decided to go with a small family owned, reputable and knowledgeable HVAC company. Always get multiple quotes and don't be pressured by """"this offer is only valid for a few days""""! We learned a lot from the people that came to quote and easily choose the Right climate company for our home!

My neighbor was using their services and their trucks were blocking my driveway. I told the guy that he couldn't block my driveaway so he moved his truck. I return home and pull into my driveway and no sooner as I open my car door to get out of my car their driver pull up behind me and block my driveway. I told the guy that he couldn't block my driveway and he said it would only be 5 minutes, I said 'no'. I know that 5 minutes will turn into 1 hour easily. Then guy number two walks up behind me and stands in front and says, """"Did you hear what he said, it'll only be 5 minutes?"""". I turned to him and asked, """"Did you hear what I said...don't block my driveway."""" I proceeded to tell him that it's illegal to block a homeowner's driveway and I can have their truck towed and or ticketed. To make a long story short these guys were rude and hostile. Blocking someone's driveway is inconsiderate, especially if the person's profession requires them to be on-call ( nurse, doctor etc.) and they have to leave at a moments notice. I would not hire a company like this and have these types of people in my home.

It was 98° in my house!! I highly recommend Shawn Tomkins, service, repair gentleman. Extremely polite, very courteous & extremely thorough, We had a different service guy from this company come out on 7/3 & he was in and out of my house within 45 minutes. He got our AC to finally blow cold air. Less than 24 hours later the AC was reading 98° again! We called Preferred, Home, Services, and they sent out service representative, Shawn Tomkins. He came out on Fourth of July, he took his time & was here from 10 AM-1:45 PM. He was extremely thorough & found issues that the other servicemen did not. Highly recommend asking for Shawn Tomkins!!

Will Never use this company again! Had a new Hvac installed. Cost a fortune! Told me I would have a free year of Maintenance. One month later I noticed they billed my credit card for this free(??) service. I called them about it so they removed the charge! Seven months after the installation the new unit wasn't working correctly, so I called them and they told me i would be charged for the repair!! I raised Cain with them and they backed down but my unit still doesn't work well! I am an 80 year old widow and i feel like I was taken advantage of!!!

Needed to replace and old child height toilet, not working very well. So, best option was a new replacement. I like to take care of most things myself, if I feel I'll do the job, like it needs to be done, done toilet installs before, it sometimes can go so very wrong once you get under it. So, I called Preferred, they send Johnny Galivan very well mannered and knowledgeable, Tech. He gave me all options, from just a fix to two or three replacement, ideals. Came need day and did the install, was fast, works great, great clean up, and he even did a few small things that needed to be done in two other bathrooms, for no charge, yea I know, right....just shows he's a fare Tech. Ask for Johnny...you won't be sorry, promise.

Called for water a leak. It was a 3 hour job and the parts would have cost around $10. They gave me an estimate of $2500. That is a labor cost of $825 an hour. Standard rate for a plumber is around $100 to $150 an hour. Sorry but I don't trust this company.
