My unfortunate experience with Precision Today Plumbing Heating Cooling Electrical (so far).
Before Precision purchased Millers Area Heating, we had our AC ADP Evaporator coil replaced in Oct of 2022. My friend at Millers recommended that replacement due to the long part warranty.
April 19th, we had Precision out to diagnose why the AC wasn't outputting cold air.
The send a young tech. He found that the evap coil, which was replaced in Oct 2022 was leaking / broken.
I say that's a relief, because of the warranty.
He tries to tell me it's not covered. I say I know it's covered, my friend was part of the previous repair team.
He tells me there is no sense in replacing it, it'll just fail again.
It begins to feel like a sales pitch, not a service call.
I said I'm certain it's covered, and I know it's in 'my file'.
I was told it was 'against the law' to mismatch parts.
I'd need an all new air handler.
""Friends can't just write warranty in your file"". I said, it wasn't a friend warranty. It's a 5 year part warranty, and miller's service warranty.
None of this feels right.
Nice kid, but it seems like I'm being told one thing, then other, then another, in order to make a sale.
He goes out to his van for 20 minutes, to return saying his manager will need to call me 'to discuss if this is covered'.
I gave them two days. Didn't hear anything from them.
I called that Monday. The first receptionist (Anna) says ""I see we replaced the EVAP coil in Oct 2022, and you're calling about that warranty"".
I'll have a manager call you back.
no call back.
I've called every day since then. Every day.
Left messages with 4 different people.
They all say they see it in my file that I'm to be called back.
Or texted. Or emailed.
Nothing.
It would appear I am being avoided.
I know it doesn't take 10+ days to receive a phone call.
So, here we are.
This feels like it may be the only I'll receive any sort of response.
Which is really unfortunate.
I've never done one of these public complaints....I think they're sort of gross. But if this gets them to call us back, it's a necessary evil.
EDIT:
all of their positive Facebook reviews are bots selling bitcoin or worse. I wonder if they have a review service padding their stats on the social sites. I'm assuming so.
