Precision Today began as a small plumbing firm specializing in remodeling and new builds. As our community's needs changed, we evolved. During the early 2000s, we shifted our emphasis entirely to service to assist homeowners during urgent situations.

I have been a plumber since 1997 and I have had the privilege of seeing our founder's vision of customer care endure. From start to finish I was very pleased with the professionalism, experience, service and price that Precision was able to provide. Because of my job I had to reschedule my appointment. Lisa, who called to confirm and schedule my appointment was very understanding and a pleasure to deal with. My water heater went out I called precision around 5pm a tech arrived in less than an hour figured out my problem, gave me a quote left to pick up the replacement returned and had my new water heater up and running before in less than two hours. Extremely satisfied.

I wish I could give these guys 0 stars!
They were professional- but charged us 500$ to fix a faucet, and 300$ to fix a toilet.
When I questioned it they said it was a lot
Of work involved - it took them 40 minutes.
I feel ripped off- my fault, but I'll never use these guys again- highway robbery, so unethical- to take advantage of people who don't know better.

Very disappointed. Pilot light went out on hot water heater that Precision had previously installed. Called at 7:30 am but could not get an appointment window better than between 10am and 2pm. Was not going to be home from 1:45 - 4:30. Finally received a call at approx 1:30 that a technician was on the way. My mother came to my home to be there for the appointment. Technician arrived somewhere between 1:45 and 1:55, called me on my cell at 1:59 to indicate my system most likely needed a 'deep cleaning' and I could avoid a $99 diagnostic fee if I chose to accept this option. My phone indicates I spoke with him for 8 minutes. To be fair, I was made aware that the cost was $254 (which seemed pretty high, but of course, I was over a barrel with no hot water AND I was in the car and did not want to be on the phone - even though it was a speakerphone). I assumed my unit would be sparkling when I arrived home. It was not. My mother indicated that the technicians were at my home for maybe 30-40 minutes.

After multiple attempts to reach a manager (phone tag), I finally spoke with manager John today and explained that the area around my unit was not actually clean and that I didn't see what the tech really did (noted on the invoice as 'clean lint out from below and around water heater'). He said that they don't do 'maid service' and that the technician's iPad indicated he was at my residence for approximately an hour and twenty minutes (leaving at either 2:20 or 2:40 - sorry, I can't remember exactly what he said for the time). I know for a fact that the tech was not at my home before 1:45 and if he left at 2:40, he was not even there for an hour. Double-checked with my mother and she said he was not there for more than 45 minutes. Maybe he was making phone calls or rearranging the tools in his vehicle for the other 55 minutes reported on his iPad. John indicates that the tech 'did nothing wrong', that the service involved taking a few things apart and using an 'L-shaped' attachment to thoroughly clean inside the unit, that the price was flat rate and Precision has been charging these type of rates for some time (which doesn't make it right, John).

All that aside, shame on me for not asking more questions and agreeing to such a high price without really understanding that the tech would be spending no more than 20-30 minutes to do a 'deep cleaning' and what that specifically entailed for $254. I did have a coupon for $35 off, but that means I paid $219 for 45 minutes of time. Flat rates are more beneficial to those with jobs that take longer, but they're really a rip off for the ones that don't.

Won't be using this company again and will definitely let others know that I felt taken advantage of in terms of what I paid for what I received.

We had a blockage in our pipes. They went through 3 people to get the blockage cleared, but they did it with a camera head and didn't do any rodding. They charged us over $800 for this service that didn't even work, and technically wasn't even what they charged us for. The blockage came back in a couple of weeks. They insisted we needed a hydrojetting for our pipes, and that no other cleaning method would work. The price on the hydrojetting would be another $1,200 service in addition to our already $800 paid. We got a second opinion and the other plumber rodded the pipes for $350 and he said there were no other issues - no branches, no bad pipes, nothing. He actually said they were in good shape. They also charged us for a toilet flange that popped right off when the second plumber came. He said there was no reason for this in the first place. They maybe nice, responsive, personable, but they really did a shoddy job.

Just one month of dealing with this company, and I've just found my THIRD sewer flood. This, after THREE visits from these guys. This, after these guys GUARANTEED I was good on a long-term basis. This, after both the technician and the Service Manager informed me that I would only need to have a camera inspection every 6 months before replacing the pipes. And worse yet, this after they GUARANTEED me it was safe to proceed with renovations and carpet installation in my basement, which I did. BBB Complaint Filed...

These people don't know what they're doing, they offer botched work at best, and they push other services on their customers. Don't fall for it. Left hand, right hand...Nobody knows what they're doing or what they'd talking about and they certainly do not communicate with one another about any of it. They're all blowing smoke up your a$$.

This company actually canceled on me twice. They called me in the evening and were very rude. I would NEVER use this company. Customer Service is terrible I can't imagine the work they would do.

No drainage from our home so we called for help. The tech showed up same day, but he was completely unprepared to work in someone's home. He brought 1 drop cloth (not large, not waterproof). He didn't have anything waterproof to protect carpet, furniture, etc. He didn't have anything to catch the water/waste that would come out when opening a clean-out in someone's basement. He didn't have any towels/rags for cleanup. He refused to help move/protect anything (said he's not allowed to touch any of our stuff). He refused to help with any cleanup. He didn't wear any shoe covers (he's the sewer guy; we know where those boots have been). He used our flashlight, pipe wrench, water-catching bins, and towels since he wasn't prepared with his own. When he opened the clean-out, he created a huge mess (think sewer) that we had to clean and sanitize.

The tech's ""estimate"" of the actual repair bill continued to go up as time passed (although his diagnosis of the problem never changed). The final ""quote"" was 25% higher than his initial estimate and included a warning that they would kill 2 bushes, trim and possibly kill a tree that might be in their way, and destroy one of the finished walls in our basement (because the access to the drain area that was built in wouldn't be sufficient for them).

We used a different company to complete the actual repair. We saved 20% over Precision's last estimate/quote. They removed and replanted 1 bush, but didn't bother the second bush or tree at all. And they worked around the existing interior access so no damage was done to the finished basement. They didn't leave a mess in our home or yard.

I used Precision last December to install a dishwasher and fridge I bought. That cost me $640 for less than a few hours work. I felt ripped off and called to complain ( the fridge and dishwasher cost barely over that)
As time went on, the dishwasher wouldn't clean very good and it wasn't securely tightened in the area it was installed. It got to the point where the other day it didn't drain at all so I called Precision ( this was last Sat am) I left a message to have dispatch call me to set up and appointment. I got a call back 4 hours later apologizing for the delay and to call back. I did call back and guess what??? It's Wednesday and I haven't received a call back. Thankfully it wasn't a real emergency or Id be really stuck.
Possibly the worst customer service I've received in years and paid $640 for a job that wasn't even done correctly.
