Not too long ago, in our brand new Richmond home, they tried to sell us a 2.5 ton A/C unit for $9,500. Kicked the salesman, who accordingly doesn't work there anymore, right out the front door. Not an honest or ethical practice to say the least. We ended up hiring a local, veteran-owned business to install a 3 ton for $2,500.

While the technician that came out was friendly, the quote I received from them was 3-4K to fix my water heater. When I had another company come out they were able to fix the issue for only $149.00. I am so thankful that I got a second opinion!

Terrific service at an extreme price! Very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful HVAC technician repaired my non-working furnace. However, the price was $491 ($59 service charge + $432 for part/service) to replace a part (ignitor) that videos on the internet say costs ~$40 MAX. It took him no longer than 30 minutes from start to finish. I'm feeling a little raw! Too bad the temperature was dropping to 30F that night; had me over a barrel!

I have no complaints about Precision, except for their prices. I had a very nice plumber come out to my home to give an estimate for a new sewer line from my house to the back alley. He ended up scoping the line at a cost of $225.00. I thought this price would include a video of the line documenting the linear feet and where the issues were at, since this is the type of service I've received from other companies in the past. The scope did not include a video. His estimate to replace my sewer line almost made me faint... $22,000!!! I received another quote that same day from another company, which was only at $9,800. If Precision's prices could come down to anywhere in the ballpark of being reasonable, I probably would've hired them for the job.

I called Precision Plumbing to fix a leaking kitchen sink. This should be a 1-hour service call by any stretch of the imagination.

The plumber claimed that only a total replacement of the sink was called for. Fine, I'll pony up a couple hundred bucks for a faucet, perfectly fine by me.

However the plumber then quoted me nearly $1,000 to replace it with a ""nice Kohler sink"" with a pullout faucet. For the ""cheap"" model they would still charge me $800.

Look up Kohler Forte faucet on Amazon.com, it retails for $195, and you can be sure than Precision Plumbing is paying wholesale, which is 10-15% below that.

Highway robbery if you ask me. If anyone has been ""serviced"" by these plumbers, they should double-check their bills and open a claim with the better business bureau.

One other reviewer said ""terrible service and really high rates"" and I'd have to agree that my experience matches that.

Terrible service and really high rates. I used these guys for a few jobs but actually got a comparable quote from a local plumber and they were overcharging me by 200%

I will never use them again! Please get a comparable quote before using.

Called Precision Plumbing today and they were at my house in less than an hour and had the job done in less than 10 minutes. I couldn't have ask for better service will definitely be using them for my future plumbing needs!

I normally don't write reviews because I don't have the time, but I was so appalled by their prices--and how much cheaper/competent another company was--that I had to write. We had a leak coming from our air condition unit that's up in the attic crawlspace. Precision came out on the weekend (to their credit) and quoted me some $2500 to ""maybe fix the issue."" I decided to wait until Monday. I called Meyers Heating and Air, who came out and fixed the minor problem for $78. That's right, $78! And it's been fine ever since. No thanks, Precision. I strongly recommend you call somebody else. They have fancy trucks, but it's you, the consumer, who pays for it.

Ron, the technician was awsome! He was not only knowledgable, but also extremely informative about a host of things related to our plumbing system, such as treating our septic and removing odors from the washing machine and garbage disposal. In addition, he noticed water leaking from our air conditioner and correctly diagnosed the problem and calling in an specalist in that area. I would recommend Precision Plumbing and Heating, and Ron in particular, to anyone desiring outstanding competent service.

When our AC was not cooling, the initial technician sent by Precision refilled our unit with coolant but failed to check for possible leaks to determine the cause of the loss of coolant fluid. Twenty-four hours after he left the unit was not cooling again. He had informed us that it would cost several thousand dollars to test for a leak and then repair it if it were not in the part of the unit still under warranty. When the AC stopped cooling again after 24 hours, my husband called and spoke to Ryan, a manager, about our concerns with the first technician's visit. Ryan was quite polite and concerned and vowed to investigate the situation. He contacted us the next day and said that he would send a new technician to investigate. Mike came later that day and determined that the inside unit coil was bad and leaking and needed to be replaced. The part was obtained the very next day, and Mike returned to work for 4 hours until late Friday evening at 7:30 pm. The AC is now cooling very well and we are very pleased with the result. We are particularly pleased with the service we received from Ryan and Mike and with their determination to ""put things right."" We will use them again if we have further AC issues.
