Stay AWAY from Precision Plumbing!! We had them out to fix our AC a few years ago and they were WAY overpriced (they price by the type of repair, not how long it actually takes to make the repair, and they try and strong arm you into a yearly service contract), then the exact same part that they replaced, failed the following summer and they refused to replace it under warranty because it was barely 7 days after the 1 year period expired. We went with Cooper Heating & Cooling after that and couldn't be happier...in fact the guy that came out for Cooper used to work for Precision, but got tired of their sales tactics and pressure. I wish there was an option for 0 stars! There are many better companies out there that you should be looking at before you call these guys.

They came out to repair my AC unit. They diagnosed the problem immediately as a capacitor issue and pulled out their handy dandy price book ""$668 for parts and labor"" is what the very nice tech told me. I think that I'll get a second opinion. The next person who was a referral quoted me a price of $29 dollars for the part and $75 an hour for a total of $150 dollars!!!! I showed him the quote and he was BLOWN AWAY!!! ""That's a $28 dollar part, what are they charging you for??"" I will NEVER call Precision ever again!!! Price Gougers!!

I am very happy with my recent experience with Precision. First, the company was able to accommodate me the July 4th weekend which was wonderful. Secondly, the electrician came on time and did a thorough job trying to figure out why my new dryer kept shutting off the circuit breaker. He checked the wall plug, the breaker box, and even checked the wiring of the 3 plug dryer cable. He then recreated the scenario and saw sparks flying out of the back of the dryer. He was competent, thorough and professional. I also appreciated Precision honoring the $50 coupon that i got from their website.

Really easy and straight forward call for service. I liked the guy that came out and felt like he did a really good job and did right by the company...but...the recommendation they made was to replace rather than repair (which was not entirely a bad recommendation) but they charge per ""the book"" and the cost was CRAZY high. I called another company for a second opinion and got a repair for a fraction of the price. I dont have any issues with Precision, but they are the cadillac (or maybe BMW) of service/cost. Sorry guys...it was just a bubble test and the tightening of a nut.

Be careful of their bait and switch practices. Their service might be good - I don't know but their website service is HORRIBLE.
The website allows you to book an appointment online and offered several available times that worked for me. I booked an appointment and received an email confirmation of said appointment. I was stoked.
Lo and behold about 20 minutes later I got a call from them telling me that they didn't have that time or any other time that was listed on the website available. I asked the agent on the phone why and she said that that wasn't a real appointment system. I told her it was a horrible set up. She acknowledged it was.
Again, their service might be good but I am looking elsewhere as they have horrible customer service.

The water heater went out in my rental. I called two other plumbers that were booked for the next month and 1/2, so one of them recommended Precision. The service tech was competent, friendly, and flexible with my situation. The quote was high, but not knowing if i could line up another plumber and not wanting to waste any more of my time, I decided to do it.
The reality of charging $1500 for a water heater replacement is they are billing their techs out at $200/hr. I am a senior engineer (i.e. in this situation, I design the water heater) and that's about what I would get billed out at. For my rush situation I was glad they had techs available but if possible I will always go with someone cheaper, they are essentially just attaching some pipes to other pipes!

Let me begin this by saying I started a Yelp account to give positive feedback to businesses I really enjoy, and I absolutely abhor the idea of writing negative reviews (I mean, hey, we all have bad days that are sometimes perceived by others). This is the first one I have written, because I think blatant dishonesty is grounds for writing one.
The good side of their visit was that they were able to come out within the week (some companies couldn't come out till mid-July!) to fix the AC that stopped working at the beginning of June in our 5 bedroom house. A gentleman, who shall not be named, came out and quoted us ~$900 for the fix, as the fan/motor was broken, as he saw it. He ended up having to make two visits, for whatever reason. On another ""positive"" note, he was a very pleasant person to interact with, when he was here.
Being the savvy shoppers that we are, we wanted to see if we could buy the part for cheaper and have them install it. We asked for the unit numbers and part information, no response. Finally got a hold of him, he wasn't able to answer us, then another couple of days pass.... we started feeling like maybe they weren't being totally forthright with us, so we called our VERY trusty plumber to ask if he had a recommendation on another AC company.
First of all, he strongly advised AGAINST using Precision, and recommended Circulating Air instead. Circulating Air came out the day we called them, and it took them approximately 10 seconds to look at the air conditioner, and identify the problem (which was in plain view on the unit): a blown out capacitor ($45 part). It maybe took him 10 minutes to fix it, and everything is working beautifully now. So it cost us the $45 + the service visit. I asked him why we were told otherwise by Precision, and he said either the person was completely inept, or saw the opportunity to ""go for the kill"" and charge us for a much higher labor cost. He said it isn't cost effective to make a visit for a 10 minute fix and cheap part, so they probably tried to make it much more worth their time.
That being said, we are going to do a complete overhaul of our entire AC system next summer to make it more energy efficient, which is a large job. I will certainly not be going with Precision for that one.
Judging from the ""mostly"" positive reviews for them, I'm assuming this was an isolated incident, but this was my experience. I understand why they did it, we're all trying to have our profits outweigh our costs, but dishonesty isn't a sustainable way of achieving that.

Stay away... I mistakenly signed up for their Service Partner Plan (SPP) thinking I was getting a good deal, they promised ""VIP"" treatment, annual check-ups and discounted service prices.
Prior to signing up for SPP, I had Precision out at my house twice to give me a quote to service my AC unit and both times they tried to sell me on the most expensive unit and suggested I completely change my system and duct work all together. I was told that if I signed up for SPP I would get a 15% discount on the upgrade. Not only that, while they were out, I was told that my high efficiency Triangle Tube boiler was installed incorrectly and I would need to spend $6k (with my SPP discount) to re-plumb the system. Strangely enough, the technician wasn't familiar with the Triangle Tube and had to go home to do some ""research"" before providing me with a $6k quote to re-plumb the system, and yes, the $6k included my 15% discount...
Luckily I got a second opinion and was told that everything was fine. My AC unit needed a minor overhaul and the boiler was in perfect running shape and plumbed correctly based on manufacturer specs.
Basically Precision was fishing for work and thought that I was another victim. Sadly, I see their trucks in my neighborhood all the time and I live in an area with elderly couples.
Long story short, I spent $238.80 for the SPP service plan and didn't get a single thing for my money. I just got my renewal request in the mail to sign up for another year, this is the first time I have heard from Precision since I signed up last year. Maybe this is what they meant by annual check-ups,,, they check to see if you will give them more money.

I called for general information about their services. The person who answered the phone, Spirit, was unfriendly, unhelpful, and continuously interrupted me when I tried to ask questions. Spirit talked over me several times with fast, canned answers. I'll take my business elsewhere to a company that knows that good customer service and building business starts with having phone representatives that are skilled in quality verbal communication. A way to lose prospective business is to have insincere and poor communicators who seem to want to rush prospective customers off the phone. I would recommend customer service training for Spirit.

These guys just called to cancel the appointment I had with them and said they can't rebook until the next week. Can't rely on them to show up for their appointment.
