Bob H.My HVAC replacement required a unique approach due to a poorly designed and installed system by the original builder. I consulted with and received bids from several companies, some suggesting that shortcuts would be required, and I would end up with a less than efficient system. That was until Precision Heating and Air assessed my project.
John did a thorough assessment and designed a system to be installed in a space that other companies suggested would not be possible. Pricing was fair and was less than some competitive bids I received. That cost included a 10-year parts and labor warranty, a 10-year zero out of pocket promise, and the contract was absent of any fine pint that would have subjected me to additional costs for any issues discovered during installation. It was an all-inclusive, easy to read and easy to understand proposal.
Coordination, scheduling and permits were expertly handled by Kerianna who communicated with me before, during and after installation.
I am particularly pleased with the installers Glass and Forest, who during installation, "tweaked" John's initial design and improved it. Both Glass and Forest were professional from start to finish. The project took two full days. They started early each morning, worked late in the day, cleaned the job site from top to bottom, and took the time to answer all my questions. They were minimally disruptive while being respectful and courteous throughout the process. Execution was flawless. They are a good team that Precision Heating and Air is fortunate to have. If Glass and Forest get assigned to your project you will be in good hands.
Carl B.Read the current reviews and cannot believe I dealt with the same company. I called 3 contractors for bids to replace the complete heating and cooling components. Precision was 20% below there nearest competitor and was available to do the job the next day. They showed up on time with all the equipment and completed the change out the same day. Installation looks superior to the previous installation and start up and running of new equipment went smoothly. Technicians were well versed in installations and kept the work area clean and uncluttered throughout the process. Although I do not expect any problems I would not hesitate to call them if there was anything else I needed.
We have been customers of Precision since February of 2020. We are on their yearly maintenance plan. Precision has worked on our A/C eleven times in less than two years. As of now, it is not working properly. It has not worked properly for more than a few months since they began working on it. It is not old and was as reliable as any A/C prior to Precision. We've paid thousands of dollars to Precision in less than two years. We don't prefer complaining online. Rather, we prefer to make the vendor understand that we are unhappy and work with them to rectify the problem. We tried that for over a year. They are always prompt, courteous and professional. Our A/C still doesn't work. The latest episode is proving too much for us to remain quiet.
Last week I received their email about our twice-yearly checkup. The A/C was working fine. I scheduled the checkup as recommended. The technician arrived Thursday and completed his checkup, saying that everything looked ok. When he left, the house began to heat up. It did not cool down. The same technician came back Saturday. He told us he had mistakenly let coolant escape when he was checking the pressure. He added more coolant and left. The A/C still doesn't cool. I called again. The new technician arrived Monday afternoon and said the compressor was frozen. He shut down the whole unit and said someone will call me to schedule a time to come out once more. He could not give me a day. So here we sit, both working from home, with no A/C at all - and this time, it was working perfectly before they touched it. Those are just the facts, with no unqualified opinion whatsoever. If I hear back from them, I'll update this review.
Lawrence A.Have been using Precision Heating & Air for several years now, servicing multiple properties. The costs have been comparable and the service has been great, never had a need to call back to fix something they did not do correctly the first time. Every experience I have had, either with technicians or customer service representatives have been easy and pleasant. 5 stars if they cleaned your outdoor/possibly indoor HVAC units or add a charge for this detailed service when paying for annual inspections of units. Thank you for keeping us cool and will continue to call upon you when needed and recommend to our friends and colleagues.
DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE! I called for A/C service on a split system they installed last year. No response. I contacted them via their website. They said they would have someone out that day (Thursday). Awesome! I left work and got home early. I was contacted via email by an operator/dispatcher Elizabeth and told it would be the next morning btwn 8am-12pm. So I didn't go to work that morning. No show. At 2pm someone called to tell me that the repair person was behind, won't make it until the evening btwn 4pm-8pm. No show. At almost 10pm, the service-person calls my cell, tells me that they can't make it until Monday btwn 8am-12. I say ok. Guess what. No show. When I emailed Elizabeth about it, she said a service manager would give me a call. Guess what.... Yeah this is the WORST place to claim that they "will be there" in the tag line! Do not waste your day waiting on this place. They will not service their product/installation as they claim. They will not show up. They will not call you. I wish there were a zero-stars option.
Precision always comes out the same day, even in August. They have been very reliable and responsive over the last 3 years, starting after our reno contractor bent the drain line causing the pan to overflow in our dining room. It took a few trips deep in the attic to find the root cause but they came through.
This company isn't what it's founder established any longer.
Simple requests for estimates are mismanaged. Scheduled service calls are now an opportunity for one of their repairmen to pressure sell you unwanted or unneeded equipment. If you want your AC ducts replaced, you will receive an estimate including unwanted equipment and services like a 700 dollar air scrubber light bulb, and a 1500 dollar air scrubber that needs a light bulb.
I've tried to work with Precision for years and have observed a noticeable decline in customer service and relations. I'm certain the former owner of this company cached out and who can blame him, but don't think for a minute the reputable company you used to work with still exists in this new outfit.
Jane G.Do not work with this company. Precision just merged with Fox and their systems are a mess. You won't get calls returned, repair people won't show up, parts won't get ordered, etc. The worst ever.
In a bind from my tenant saying the ac was running hot, after calling precision they did come the following day, only to replace a compressor that come to find out only can be bought for $100, so charged $99 for a service call that was told to us when we booked would be covered under work or if we decided not to do anything the total of the call would be $99, but we were charged $99 for the call and $450 for a $100 part that we could have done ourselves but as i said wanting to get my tenants ac unit running as fast as i could for her i did not do my homework when it came to this company, i would never use them nor recommend them to anyone, definitely unfair prices.
I will never do business with this company again. I have been a customer for many years and I was on vacation and not at home. A guest in my house told me that the air conditioner was not working. I told my guest to call Precision Air because I was a customer. I bought my entire two units from them. They came and fixed the air conditioner but told my guest that if they couldn't reach me before they left my house they would have to remove the part, company policy. So my guest had to pay $500! I missed their call but tried to call them right back to pay but got a recording. They called me back again and said it was a new company policy. Wow, what a way to run off business from a loyal customer!
