I was looking into getting my air ducts and AC coil cleaned. Manny came over to the house the same day. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He had me come onto the roof and showed me the AC, components and how they were to be cleaned. He advised me of the pricing, service agreement and also provided me with options to help keep my unit working to its full capacity. He took the time I feel needed to fully explain and answer my concerns and questions. He left me a quote, with zero pressure and advised me to do my due diligence. This was polar opposite of my experience earlier with COIT who basically counted my air ducts and said the AC coil was in my attic. I would definitely recommend Precision Air and Heating. As far as pricing is concerned, they beat COIT by a significant amount.
i've used them for years. Generally speaking, they are great. Had a couple of hickups over the years, but their office is great, and the technicians are almost always great. Last technician, Manny V. was awesome. Tells you how to improve, but not a ridiculous sales person.
Megan M.Absolute liars. Their field supervisor, Chris, came to our home to evaluate if we needed a new unit. He scared us, telling us we had mold coming into our home through our a/c unit. He told us our gas furnace was rusted through and had the potential to lead carbon monoxide into our home. We panicked and signed on the dotted line to replace our entire system... he told us our duct work was shot and we needed everything replaced. After we signed, we got 3 other opinions from professionals. All three showed us pictures. No mold, no area rusted through, our duct work was fine. Precision Air tech terrified us in order to get a sale. When we called to cancel, they tried to charge us a 20% restock fee which was about $2,200.00. What a joke. We now have a lawyer. Do not ever deal with these crooks. Total fraud.
Aaron the tech came out and was very prompt and clean. A knowledgeable guy who took the time to teach me about my system so I can help prevent future system failures. This is the 3rd time I've had Precision A&H out, and they always have the highest in professionalism.
In July our AC went out. We are ""preferred customers"" with Precision Air, having paid for a service agreement with them for over 10 years, in which they promise 24/7 ""preferred"" service. We expected a quick response, however it took them a week to send a service tech out to fix it. Meanwhile our house got to 96 degrees. They had a ""that's your problem"" attitude. Then they charged us for 5 hours of labor when it took 3.5 hours. When we called them on it, they had the same attitude. July 31st, the AC stopped working again. It wasn't until August 8th before they could get the defective part to us and fix it again. Part of the delay was they cancelled the order for the part because they had erroneously put a note in our file that we were going to check with our home warranty to get the service done(which we don't even have). When the error was discovered, they wanted us to pay for expedited shipping of the part! We refused, and when the part came in, it was not the correct part so there was an additional delay. If you want to read the whole story, because there were numerous mistakes this company made, you can go to the Better Business wesbsite and read my entire review and their response....which was comical!
AC out in Aug is no fun. Same day service was much appreciated. Customer service was good. Chris, the AC technician was pleasant to work with and had me up and running quickly. I thought the cost for the condenser fan replacement was a bit high. Also, 4 year maintenance plan cost was too high. But other than price, appreciated the service and would consider using Precision again in the future.
Sally M.Very friendly and helpful service, Chris came out to my place this afternoon and diagnosed my air conditioning problem very professionally. I am very grateful for his honesty and help in explaining what the problem was and the solutions necessary. I feel very reassured and would recommend Precision Heating and Air to anyone. Thank you.
808Legacy R.Been in my house for about 3 years and I wanted the system checked out as the house is 5 years old. So of course they come out and find an issue with the capacitor. Out of the 6 times that they have come to my house (other houses I owned), they have said that I needed a new capacitor either on the outside system or on the inside system. Guess what happened this time? I need a new capacitor. So they tell me the price of the part and labor and said it would be cheaper to get the 4 year contract. I did this with my other houses and I also did it for this time. I also was told that the motor was leaking oil but it is running fine.
6 months later, on a 114 day in July, the blower motor locks up at night. I log a ticket via the website at 11pm that night and get a call the next morning. I get told that no one can come out till 5 days cause they are busy. Wait, but I am not a higher priority since I have a contract? You would think. I tell them if they get a cancellation, give me a call. They end up coming out 2 days later. I guess that is better than 5. The technician comes out and tells me a new motor will be over 1k. Of course I saved a lot since I have a service contract...Yeah (sarcasm). Of course it is hot, and I am pissed, and I don't understand why the other technician that came out 6 months earlier could have just have it replaced then. I ended up renting a portable AC for one of the nights and that didn't work. So the next night I take the family to a hotel. Of course I have to take time off so that pissed me off even more. I was just irritated about the whole thing. Then we get told he might not be able to come out till the afternoon the next day. At this point, I say what ever.
The next day arrives and I get a call 8am in the morning. Woohoo, they can fix it right now. He get's out there and pops it in. Yes, finally we get cool air again.
So this review would be a 2 star if not for James S. Even though I was livid and irritated throughout the whole process, he was very professional and answered all questions. He made it a point to make sure we were one of the first customers that he had to service in the day. I appreciate everything James.
Jeanne B.The first mistake I made was signing a four year contract with precision air last July. It took me three months to finally have my air filters replaced in the house. On another it on other occasions it's been the same thing the balls dropped.
First of all it's impossible to get past the front desk the owner, the service manager, and even the office manager are impossible to speak with. It wouldn't be so bad if the front desk that consists of maybe five women were all on the same page. But The communication is truly unsatisfactory.
I started this review about six months ago and decided to hold off. But today I had another negative situation with Percision Air. We agreed with PA to be serviced annually in July. I paid upfront for the contract. Today is July 26 and I hadn't to date heard a word from precision air to set up an appointment for service so I gave them a call this morning. I was told by the receptionist that setting up service calls is up to the customer to make an appointment for service, which means to me that if we're not on top of it there is no reminder from PA to be serviced. I was told they have too many customers to inform them when it's time for annual service. In May we had a fan replaced by PA as well as some other work on the AC and spent a good amount of money, so I do consider ourselves a good regular customer who expects good customer service from PA. I'm so discouraged dealing with this company.
Katie H.Wanted to make sure I dug up this company from the several pages of better companies that come up on Yelp when searching for air conditioning repair.
After hearing the radio ad I got online and used the instant messaging to get someone out to my house. The customer service was promising! We had been without a properly working upstairs air conditioning unit for several days and Precision was able to get someone on their way to us immediately.
Coy is a marvelous salesman. I imagine he does well at what he does. Unfortunately what he does is make tons of promises, condescending and dumbed down explanations, and then when he hands you a written estimate it has nothing that he promised.
Ultimately I went with my gut and cancelled the scheduled service call before they came out. This company (or maybe just this salesman) is downright swarmy.
After getting two more estimates we ultimately went with 1-800-Cooling (previously Cooling for Less). They delivered more and gave incredible service.
