We used Steve Pratt's Service to remove an old existing oil furnace and upgraded with a newer efficient 2-zone natural gas furnace. His estimate was half of other estimates given at the time and thoroughly laid out. His work was excellent - his team was very professional. His work was completed in a timely manner - only a couple weeks wait and then just a couple days to do the work. The system was very old and he accommodated all necessary updates for the new furnace.

Notably, when a minor issue occurred and there was no heat for a day - following the replacement about 2 weeks, he responded very quickly, sending his team out within a couple hours - which happened to be on the weekend. After initial diagnosis, it was thought to be the water circulator pump - but it turned out to be the relay. Steve himself also showed up personally and this was after his knee surgery just a week prior.

Steve is a professional and caring owner - I highly recommend his services to anyone in the area. He did the work for my senior mom and treated her with much respect. I was fortunate to be home at the time when he should up to meet him.

I have used Pratt Plumbing to plumb a laundry room in the basement and to cap off and remove an old gas pipe. A small problem cropped up after they plumbed the laundry room that I didn't notice right away. I called and left a message about the issue when I discovered it. It happened to be a Saturday when I called and Steve Pratt returned my call that same day, apologized and scheduled the resolution at my convenience. I've come to trust Pratt Plumbing and will be using them for all my future plumbing needs.

I used Steve from Platt plumbing before and although very expensive compared to other plumbers I called him again to install my insta hot water tank. He kept sending me a text the fee was $95. Steve did not come but he sent his unlicensed apprentice who was very conscientious, nice & pleasant. The problem was that his apprentice should have come with a licensed plumber as when he tried to fix something another pipe broke and he was not able to fix it but had to come back the next day. I blame Steve for that. Pratt also should have told me that he was not coming but an apprentice & he should have asked me if I was okay with that. The entire job including putting in the pipe should have taken no longer than an hour to 1 1/2 hours and he wanted to charge me $415!!!!! Considering it was an apprentice I never should have been charged more than $200. When I called Steve from Pratt I told him that I never should have been charged that much. He got angry, told me not to pay & hung up. I have every intention of paying him for what I should be charged. Do not trust this guy one bit.

Plumbed our second floor addition. Installed new boiler and central air. More issues than I can count. We certainly didn't receive the quality we were promised.

I wouldn't have these guys back to change a toilet flapper

Rip off. All they did was replace a shorted out HVAC wire in the attic and charged almost $600, for probably less than $10 in wire. Then to justify it, they tried to say it was because they had to pay the 3 guys... Why 3 people to change one simple wire?

Also, the simple new wire work itself was sloppy:
1. They left the old wire cut in the middle and just hanging.
2. They used electrical tape on my gas line and other places to attach the wire in a haphazard fashion.
3. After all of that, they couldn't even get the new wire to work with my model of thermostat. So they just left the wires twisted together so my air conditioner runs forever (until I clean up this mess too). So not only am I out of the almost $600, but the job is still not done.

Also, the first 2 trips the issue was misdiagnosed and I was billed for that time too.

I am all for paying professionals for their time, but this is excessive, especially when the final job was incomplete and not professionally executed.

This plumber has replaced a number of hot water heaters
at the Roxbury Condominiums in Westwood, NJ with no
problems to date. They also removed with no problems a
red latex glove that I supposedly dropped in the toilet for $100 only.
Good job-- nice people.

We had them change the zones in our house to a two zone heating in the bedrooms the heat is still not working properly and this was ""fixed"" last year and now according to him if I would like to have him take a look at it I need to pay for the service call and the repair even though this was his initial job do not use thisCompany if you want the job done well. Not to mention the fact that he is very rude when you speak to him.

I have had only good experiences with Pratt Plumbing and perhaps it was the individual you were dealing with. While I do find them somewhat expensive, I believe that's the case of most plumbers in this area. The boss, Steve, is great, as honest as the day is long. I have found that they are very prompt in keeping appointments and in an emergency, they are right there.

I had Pratt here in 2/16, the guy was rude then , kind of expensive but did get the job done . Unfortunately a year later , problem with the heat not working , house is 62 degrees in the morning , and he told me that it works . And he can't stand around waiting for the heat to come on . Obnoxious and rude - find someone else .
