I called this company to come out to service a pump they installed four years earlier that was still under warranty. They responded immediately and came out the next morning without any issues. The problems started when they assessed the problem. Their tech claimed the tank bladder had gone bad (installed less than two years previous) which caused the pump to short cycle and burn out, thus voiding the warranty. They quoted over $3100 to replace the tank, the electronics, and the pump. I had another reputable local company come out to give a second opinion. They fixed the pump and electronics for less than $800 and said there was nothing wrong with the tank. Clearly, Prairie wanted to overcharge me and claim the warranty for themselves on the back end. It's disappointing to say the least that a company can act in such an untrustworthy manner with a family's access to water. Not recommended to say the least. Caveat emptor - let the buyer beware.

Great communication with immediate call backs and regular updates on eta. Turned out to be a pump pressure switch which is a pretty easy fix. I felt the price was fair and they provided good explanations of what they were doing and options available.

Woke up this am with no water. Called Prairie State Water Systems and Matt and Dolton were at my home within the hour. By 12:30 we had a new pump installed and ready to go. They decided not to ruin our yard with a heavy truck, so they replaced the pump by hand. We are very appreciative and would definitively call them again for any future well issues. Thank you!

I am happy to recommend this company! This is the second job that they've done for us, but this was a crisis! I had water coming into the basement where the water entered the house. They came out the same day and fixed it in no time at all. The guys were polite, knowledgeable and very helpful. Last night I was mopping the basement, tonight I get my ice cream! I will definitely call these guys again and recommend them to anyone that asks!

Prairie State Water Systems is seriously an excellent family owned business. Mike is just a top notch trust worthy, hard working, good man. I'm born and raised on city water and sewers but after moving to Inverness I had a problem with a failing well pump. Mike took his time to educate me on the well water systems as well as the work he would be conducting. Prairie State was on time, informative and very clean when they put in my new well water system this spring. Praire State was very affordable and I would highly recommend them based on my positive experience with Mike because he brings credibility and integrity to well water industry.

I don't remember how I found these guys, but I'm glad that I did. Blue collar, hard working, and experts at their craft, Prairie State has helped me out of a couple of jams. Over the years, they've replaced my water tank and well pump and have always been quick and competitive on pricing, never going over their estimates. In a world where it's so hard to find honest professionals, I'm happy to trust Prairie State with my water systems.

These guys know their stuff. Really well. Excellent no charge consultation of my well and water softener system after purchasing our home. Took me through the ropes of the system. Very friendly and super knowledgable. Brought the unit back to full function after most likely being dormant for a year. Educated me about expectations and future upgrades to the well unit. Was very happy with the service!

I've had 2 water emergencies in this house and both time (unrelated issues) I've called prairie state and they've come out quickly and made the repairs quickly and didn't overcharge me. This last time was on a Sunday and the poor guy spent all afternoon here. He kept my husband informed of what he was doing and was very knowledgeable and courteous. We'll call them again with any issue!

Mike and Don were extremely helpful in explaining the problem and what needed to be done. They were careful with the backhoe and respected the property. They fixed a broken pipe that was creating a wet and muddy soil, plus they replaced the well tank and the well pump. I was always told what they were doing and what was done. I would not hesitate to recommend Prairie State Water Systems.
