Recommended Customer Reviews

Great service, on time arrival and quality work performed. I had a leak above the ceiling and my home warranty service assigned it to them. From the call from Gabriela to have it fixed next day, every thing was well done. Very happy with professional service provided.

Worst customer service ever! My homeowner insurance company Fidelity got Practical Plumbing for a water pipe leak. Per Gabriela, Plumber not available to crawl under the house because he's a large guy. So she scheduled me a week out, so they could get another plumber. And I unfortunately agreed!
So I had to rearrange a dr appointment today to be available from 11-3, as agreed upon with Practical. I had just arrived at Trader Joe's at 10:25 when she called me to say he's coming in ten min. I tell her I'm leaving the store and will be home in ten minutes. (I made it home in 9 min). Five min into my drive home, she calls me to say he left my home and will reschedule for next Wednesday! I said ""no, I want you to tell him to return to my house now!"" (Here's the situation, he was not ten min away as she said. And, the window they arranged with me was 11-3. Not 10:30!!). She refused to call him, only saying they will return in a week. (And I have a leak in my water line!!). She refused to work with me. I have never had such horrible customer service as she wanted to blame me for not being home a half hour earlier than they scheduled me for!!
This poor customer service and mismanagement of time, is unacceptable. And the plumber not wanting to crawl under the house, was probably why he left. He also did not bring another plumber as the dispatcher informed me of that as well. (I waited a week so they could find another plumber so I was deceived here as well). As in other reviews here, I too asked to speak with the owner, and she said he's not there. Needless to say, I called Fidelity to file a complaint. They said she called them already about me. And I asked, did she tell you she hung up on me when I argued with her about the scheduled time and the plumber leaving! He said ""no!""

Absolutely TERRIBLE service! I was contacted on a Tuesday, given a service window, and left work to be available. I was then contacted with an updated window much later in the day (5:00pm - 9:00pm) due to the same story that lead to the first time changing.
6:00pm comes and I get a call from the same person I had spoken to twice before (Gabriela), explaining that they were not going to be able to make it... due to the same story that I was given twice before, despite there still being 3 more hours avail.
I got upset and explained the urgency and inconvenience of taking more time off work and she was not very compassionate. Gabriela explained that we would be the first call in the morning or that they could be here from 5:00pm -9:00pm (the next evening). I explained that would not work and it needed to be handled tonight. She said thank you for being so understanding and hung up!
My wife and I are early risers and go to be early as a result, but we stayed up thinking we would get a knock on the door. Nothing! 10:00pm and no knock... no call! 8:00am no plumber... no call! We call Fidelity and give them the news and ask to use another company.
I call Practical Plumbing in hopes to speak with upper management; Gabriela answers and says I called last night but no answer, which is bullsh!t... my phone was in my hand the whole time! She then says that no one is available for a week and that the owner does not come in.
I WILL speak with management! I'm not leaving a message that will end up in the trash. Terrible service and even worse customer service!!! Rude and condescending with a smart ass tone.
Fidelity assigned a new company the job and my issue was taken care of 3 hours later.

This company has some customer service issues. As the potential customer (assigned unfortunately by Fidelity Home Warranty) I waited 2 days for contact. I called on the 3rd day. I was promised a return call. Didn't happen. I called on Day 4. Call was returned but the next available date was a full week out. New company was contacted, scheduled an appointment for the following day.
Main frustration is that the company didn't follow through. No contact, I did the chasing. If no appointment times, they should have declined the assignment.

Drove 2 hours to a rental to meet a plumber which was scheduled thru Fidelity Home Warranty. Getting close to the end of the window so we called. Her response: we'll call you when he's on his way. Our response: We've been waiting all day; can you please contact him to find out his schedule and let us know. We never hear so go about our business. At 3:00 we call. Her response: Oh, I called Fidelity and told them the plumber won't make it today. Our response: Gee, you don't think it would have been nice to call US???? So I call at 4:30, we need to reschedule since you didn't show up. Well, I don't have anything for another week. Mind you, we've been waiting 10 days already and all day for a no show. YOU SCREWED UP, made us wait all day, and now you want us to wait another week cuz you can't make it right and fit us in? WOW WOW WOW WOW. ZERO customer service skills. DO NOT RECOMMEND UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

Total scam artists. They came out yesterday for a home warranty claim for my water heater. They told me they were recommending after testing it that insurance replace it. Insurance calls today and the plumbers lied about the entire report. They stated they checked the water in ever faucet in my house, never did. Claimed it was not properly maintained (its 13 years old - doesn't make it to that age without getting properly maintained). Told me that it did not produce the adequate amount of hot water (only 8 minutes) Told insurance that it was producing 75% of its capacity so it was functioning normally. Called them and they just totally blew me off and claimed that nothing the guy told me was actually said to me and then said thank you and hung up on me. Run as fast as you can from these people.

These guys basically tried to defraud us in concert with our home warranty company. They sent guys out to inspect our tankless water heater, and the diagnosis they provided on-site was that the water heater was totally kaput and needed to be replaced. I had several follow-up conversations with their main office, where they again confirmed the water heater could not be repaired and needed to be replaced (they even asked me questions about the number of bathrooms, people living in the house, etc. to determine what size water heater would suit us best). Suddenly, after they reported their findings back to the home warranty company, they changed their story to ""You can't prove that you've done regular maintenance on the unit, and thus any repairs or replacement aren't covered."" Excuse me? There is nothing in our policy requiring that we prove prior maintenance, and prior to this point there was ZERO mention by their technicians and main office that the issues could have been caused by poor maintenance. Total nonsense. Clearly they changed their story out of fear that the home warranty company would stop kicking sweetheart jobs back to them. Totally dishonest and disreputable. Stay away!
We ended up demanding a second opinion from our home warranty company, and the second service company they sent out agreed that the unit was broken and needed to be replaced. Unlike these scam artists, the second service company stuck to their guns when dealing with the home warranty company, and we were able to get our water heater replaced under warranty SAME DAY.

Does business under this phone number as Practical Plumbing and Rooter.
Awful! They were assigned by my home insurance company. I called them right away (day 1) and they said their equipment was broken today, but could come tomorrow. I said I could do anytime in the afternoon or anytime the following day. They said they'd call back to schedule but didn't call back. I called them back the following day (day 2) and left a voicemail, they didn't return my call. I called again the following day (day 3) and the lady said ""Oh yeah I was just scheduling you with my supervisor! Since you weren't available day 2 we will be able to fit you in in a week or so."" I said I was very flexible and just needed to get something scheduled as soon as possible. She said she'd call back and didn't call back. I called again that afternoon and didn't get a response, left another voicemail. On day 4 I called and left another voicemail.
Called my home warranty company and requested that I be assigned a new provider due to a lack of a response from the current one and was told ""yeah, this isn't the first time we've had that happen with these guys.""
Avoid like the plague!

I am only giving 1 star because I can't give less. This plumber was sent out Fideltiy Home Warranty. They accepted the emergency work order, on a Saturday, from Fideltity but then never called me to let me know when they were coming and when I called their phones and there was no voicemail set up. Upon calling Fidelity a second time I was informed that the plumber claimed to have tried to reach me but couldn't, which was not true as I had had my phone on my person waiting for the call. Sunday night it was finally relayed to me that a tech would be coming out between 11-3 on Monday and they were aware my carpet needed to be cut out in the hallway to identify the leak.
On Monday, the technician did not arrive until after 4P, more than an hour AFTER the 4 hour service window. When he arrived he stated that they had just gotten the call for my leak, which again, was another lie by the company as Fidelity had verified with me twice that the company had accepted the emergency work order on Saturday. The plumber was there for over an hour and claimed he could not find a leak even though there was a large area of water soaking up from underneath the carpet in my hallway. He left without doing anything.
In addition, he left a MESS- lights on in every room he had gone into, multiple cabinet doors open in both of my bathrooms and laundry room, and everything from my hall bathroom cabinets was pulled out and left on the floor.
Overall- they lied on multiple occasions to both Fidelity and to me, they were late on their own 4 hour service window without calling to let me know they couldn't be there by 3P, and they did not leave the house int he condition it was in when they arrived even though they didn't actually do any work. Find another plumber!!

The technician could not find where the leak is. I requested my home warranty to have the workorder dispatched to another company and they were able to find the leak and fixed it.
Fast appointment scheduling, however, technician is incompetent.
