Called for service on Friday. Came out on Monday and gave estimate, said they would come out next day to fix. Tuesday and Wednesday pass with no plumber (gave excuses and apologies). Thursday I get a text that they'll be here in an hour, and they still ghosted me.

In a town full of plumbing options, choose someone other than Powell's.

Powell's Plumbling electricians and plumbers are very knowledgeable, and dependable. They complete the task until it is correct. We are very happy with their service and highly recommend them.

Bear Creek Camp I.

Powell Plumbing has been supe to work with. We are camp Managers at Bear Creek Campground. They have come to run new water lines that have gone bad, installed toilets and sinks around the camp and repaired the caretakers home. They are also good electricians and have run wiring, repaired lights and even hooked up a solar panel for a remote amphitheater for power.
Very pleased with the men that have come to assist and work on the property.

I don't usually make posts like this but, I am greatly dissatisfied with Powell's Plumbing.

We called to have them come check out a low water pressure issue in the bathroom. They called the next day (1/27/22) and two men came over. They discovered it was calcium that had built up and created a blockage. They got the blockage out with no issue. They explained they discovered a leak in the water valve and said it should be replaced. They went on to fix that and replaced the handle and faucet. They asked us what faucet and handle price we wanted. We told them the cheapest one they had (according to the bill that was $90). They had to cut a hole in our wall because the access to the valve was too low for what they needed to get to. We asked several times for an estimate and they told us ""We don't want to tell you because we don't want to be wrong"" and they would ""give us a break"" because the issue was more than expected, and we should get a bill within a month.

Our bill came in (2/1/22) to $856.05 and it says it's due on the 10th. They never gave us their rates or an estimate. Someone we know called to ask their rates for us because we felt like we were being overcharged and wanted to see what they say to someone else.
It is $105/hr for one guy.
For a second person, it is $80 the first hour and $60 every hour following.
And $25 for a service call.

We have two cameras on the front of our house. I calculated the times they came and left (they left twice for a total of 50 minutes gone) for the actual time they were at my house working. It added up to 3 hours and 11 minutes. Their bill only showed a list of parts, their cost, and what they charged for the labor in total. Not a description of the service, breakdown of rates, time spent on the job, or anything.

From what we observed, the younger guy did most of the work. The second guy turned our water off and on, cut the hole in the wall, and watched the other guy.

Also, we told them we had to drop off our car to get fixed at 11, just so they were aware. They asked us several times if we felt comfortable with them working while we were gone, but I had also told them several times that my husband found someone to take him so I could stay with the plumbers. They had also asked us several times if we had used their services before. Not a crime, but odd.

They had also tracked mud through my house, in the tub and all over our bathroom floor, and left drywall debris everywhere from them cutting the wall. We spent a while cleaning up the mess they left behind.

We went in today and talked to an older gentleman, who was very kind with us, but they refused to work with us on the price. He saw where the workers documented 4 1/2 hours of work. He informed us that time away to get parts counts as their time too (which is fine) but we only live 7 minutes away from their store. Even if I add the 50 minutes they were gone, they still charged us 30 extra minutes. The bill IS due 2/10/22.

Just be mindful of this if you are going to use Powell's Plumbing.

Excellent service and very friendly!
Had my main drain clog cleaned out and flowing smoothly in 10 mins. Where Beards was rude and obviously did not know how to do their job!

Called on a Monday and spoke to the bookkeeper Jean and he let me know it would be about a week before they could come out to our house. I have our landlord call and confirm the appointment (company policy) on Tuesday. I call back on Thursday to confirm the appointment, just to be told that they have no record of us and our calls. So disappointing. NEED BETTER BOOK KEEPING SKILLS IF YOU WANT YOUR BUSINESS TO STRIVE.
