I had the pleasure and honor of working with Cathleen at Powder River heating and A/C on a client customer basis. While she works in the office vs the field, the impact she made on me as I was figuring out invoices etc was enough to make me stop and write her a review.

I run multiple companies and understand the value of people like Cathleen being the interface between the field and the public. She is worth her weight in Bitcoin.

Cathleen was kind and relatable but my favorite part was how resourceful she was. She went above and beyond to answer all my questions and even followed up with sending me hard copies in the mail with a nice hand written personal note.

When calling in to pay an invoice people may not always be in the highest state when calling in, but after talking with Cathleen you can't not be.

Anyways, I just had to say something.

Over priced, does not do the work they charge for. Asked for a refund and was ousted as a customer. Bad business practice! Whatever you do, go to another company who is reliable, honest, and wants your business. The lies go on forever, don't let them lie to you and take your money.

This place will over charge you like crazy $150 just to show up to your door then $131 for a $44 thermostat I don't recommend them they will price gouge the shit out of you. Scam artists.

Powder River charged my AC with a huge leak in the coil and all of the refrigerant leaked out immediately. The large hole was covered in black residue which should have been an obvious sign the gas wouldn't fix the problem. Five minutes later the unit was blowing hot air. The tech informed me the charge should last me several months until they could replace the leaky component. It didn't. I was charged for the repairs which didn't fix the problem.

I have done a lot of business with this company which is why they get a 2 instead of 1 star. I a small furnace installed in a rental for $1675 in 2017. Since then I have had $1600+ in service and repair costs. Most recently they replaced a bunch of parts including a gas valve. I paid for all that. The gas valve was faulty and they they told my tenant that it wouldn't cost me to replace it. They did not charge for the part but billed for the installation cost. Since I had already paid for installation of a gas valve I declined to pay and was sent to collections over it.
