Terrible customer service. Took a month to provide an estimate, took a week to finish the project. Had no communication as to what was going on. We had to call multiple times to get a status update. The day Chuck finished he started hounding us for payment. He was rude when we hadn't put the check in the mail 1 day after completion, yet it took him a month to get our job done. I called to make sure he received payment and he was so ugly. I recommend you keep your clients updated as to what is going on and you could avoid these types of reviews. He was fair on the price and the 1st phone call was very pleasant. Don't know what happened after that.

I bought a foreclosure in October. The first call made me second guess using Chuck Pounds because he didn't seem to understand a simple request, but he was recommended by my Contractor. I needed my septic inspected and I needed to know IF it needed anything done to it and if so, what was needed. After a few calls he said that it may just need a pump and gave me an estimate of $550, or worst case scenario may need a sprinkler system IF that was the original system installed and gave me the highest possible estimate for that being $1,500. I let him know that it was not the original system but I'll take a high estimate so that we don't have any surprises. He said he couldn't tell what was needed until he came out and he'd bring a pump with him. He finally made it to my new house and my contractor met him there. I asked the contractor how things went and he told me a sprinkler system was installed. I was upset. He was SUPPOSED to let me know what was needed and I was adamant about not wanting a sprinkler system, especially spraying septic water 10 feet from my back patio. It was disgusting. My contractor paid him and he left before I even knew what had happened. My contractor said that Chuck told him that the sprinkler system WAS the original system(a LIE). He was supposed to come back out on three separate occasions but never did. Then the rain started up and I FINALLY received a call from him. His wife had been ill. He said that he's NEVER had an unhappy customer and didn't want me to be the first one. He said he'd come back out and we could look at possibly draining the septic into my pond, or moving the sprinklers farther from the house. I told him I'd appreciate that. In February we had a week of nice weather with no contact from Chuck. I tried contacting him with no response. I contacted my contractor who then said the """"job was done"""". I'm a single mother of 4 trying to provide for my kids on a limited income. Chuck Pounds is a liar and a thief. My contractor, Josh Oquinn is no better for not protecting me against this. Josh came back out on his own and RE-HOOKED my septic up to drain into the pond which was the ORIGINAL set up and removed the sprinkler system but is STILL charging me $1,500 because he lost that to Chuck. I do NOT recommend Pounds septic.
