I needed to mount a new large screen tv on my wall. I had another handyman who gave me an estimate close to $1,000.00! I thought that was too high and that's when I reached out to Andrew from Popeye's.
He called me back quick and asked a couple of questions about the project, and he gave me a much lower estimate. I mean waaaay lower.

When Andrew arrived he saw I had the mounting bracket, the cables and an behind the wall kit for the Hamilton cables. Andrew started the install. It was a little longer for the job and he should of charged me more, but Andrew stood by his original quote.

He went up to my roof to seal an area where a bathroom ceiling fan was leaking. When he came down, Andrew took some pictures of my roof. It's pretty bad, so now I'm going to install a new roof.

Andrew from Popeye's Handyman is incredible. Five stars for communication, prompt responses, great questions, fast estimates, easy scheduling, on-time arrival, ability to fix pretty much anything (finished a water filter faucet installation, tightened kitchen faucet and told us which tool to buy so we can tighten ourselves going forward, installed curtain rod support that was IMPOSSIBLE for us to install on our own, drilled in curtain tie backs into the same impossible wall, switched out three dimmer switches for normal light switches, and fixed a door handle that another repair person told us couldn't be fixed without a locksmith), and he's good with dogs.

The price for his work was very reasonable. I wish we'd found Popeye's when we first bought our San Leandro house in 2016 - it would've saved us so much time, money, and frustration working with other handypeople. Popeye's is our new go-to home repair service. I hope they're in business forever.

Andrew and his team do great work. We hired them to install wiring and a lighting fixture over our dining table, re-mount a pot light and do some exterior caulking around our home. Everything looks great and I am glad to have a trusty resource I can call or text for repair work. I originally found Popeyes Handyman services through Yelp. They had so many positive reviews we wanted to try them out as we had several bad experiences with other companies. Now we have had David and Andrew over several times to fix various issues in our house - to unclog a dishwasher draining tube, replace a broken light fixture, etc. Andrew is the most responsive handyman/contractor we have ever had the opportunity to work with. He texts back immediately, offers reasonable estimates extremely quickly and then is typically available within a short time frame to come and fix the problem for good. I really appreciate the responsive texting, there is no waiting game involved and I can get a quote and my issues taken care of quickly. We most recently had Andrew and his team install an interior glass door in our kitchen and remove an extremely outdated florescent box light in our kitchen. We had them replace the light with beadboard, trim, and new pot lights. Our kitchen looks soooo good and I'm very happy we went through Popeyes. They kept the area clean during the job and were in and out in the two days they said the project would take. They were extremely respectful of the fact I didn't want shoes in the house, and we honestly felt like we were in good hands the whole time. They were communicative during the entire process. We feel fortunate to have built this relationship with Popeyes and will absolutely be calling them for all our handyman/small remodeling job needs!

I've called upon Popeyes service four times over the recent years and have been pretty satisfied. The first two visits were simple tasks; the third very complex and something I believed would require installing a whole new set of windows. But David is a wizard in what he can accomplish in the skill of carpentry and so saved me much energy and expense repairing the wood frame in two of six preexisting windows. The last visit about two weeks ago was a more ambiguous project. I thought Andrews estimate over the phone scoping the project with text messaging pics might be too high but I went ahead and said""yes"". The work required not two days/16 hours but about 11-12 hours of actual work time. Andrew and I discussed it and he agreed to reimburse some of the cost. I would use the service again because I'm willing to pay knowing the job will be done well

I hired them to install 3 security screen doors. Andrew was prompt to answer my quote request and even offered to pick up the doors at Lowe's, including one that was in stock at a different location. The day of the appointment he was right on schedule, made sure my door measurements were accurate and went to get the doors from two different Lowe's.
Andrew and his helper were knowledgeable, professional and highly efficient while installing the doors. I'm very happy with the extra security I have now and the outstanding installation work. Would hire them again for any future jobs.
