Wow, I seldom post reviews but felt need to warn those unfamiliar with
cost of septic pumping. Normal cost is between $300-$375. Pop-A-Lid's
quote $575.! You've got to be kidding!!!

Pop-A-Lid provided great service for my septic tank this spring. They located the hard-to-find tank and cleaned it out. It was easy to schedule with them and they were very responsive every time I had a questions.

Our landlord hasn't hooked the house up to the sewer yet, so every year or so, we get to find someone to pump our septic tank. In the past, we've used companies that pump the tank for $350 and charge up to $75 for digging holes (even when we know exactly where the lids are). I found some good reviews for Pop-a-Lid and gave them a call - $325 for the whole shebang! They were available right away, but I scheduled an appointment for after work, and they showed up right on time. Come to find out, one of the pumpers was the actual owner, Alex. They did a great job, and if we get to this point again next year without being on the sewer, I'll be giving them another call.

Despite all the reviews we found Pop-A-Lid to be very friendly and prompt! This is the 2nd time we had to have our septic pumped (we are currently in process of getting city lines put in). We rent our home out during the weekends so when this happens we are needing help ASAP and they have always pulled through. Their price is actually lower than other septic pumping in town and since they aren't as popular yet, they have great service. The problem with other highly rated companies is that they don't have any time to take on new clients. We know we can rely on Pop-A-Lid when we have emergencies like these!

Came out right away and performed the job. Our lids were buried, which required extra work to locate them and dig them up. Our septic pump had burned out, which required replacing. They quoted the lowest price for pump replacement as well and suggested we call around for second and third bids. The best part of their service was that they replaced all our granite and landscaping after they put the lids back on, as good as it was before. There was no pressure to upgrade service and they simply listed our options by what our budget could afford. Alex and Frank did a great job.

I highly recommend Pop-A-Lid for your septic needs. Alex came out right away to pump out our system. Unfortunately, we didn't know where the actual place was to pump out from, so Alex had to come back the next day with a special camera. After locating it and pumping it out, he showed us with his special camera that there was a huge hole in our pipe where some landscaper had broken the pipe, so we had him replace the pipe. He did a great job and always let us know what to expect. I think Alex is honest, fair, and very diligent. Call him. You won't be disappointed.

Very reliable honest. Was a little more than the quote but everything was explained and had a issue with a pipe i was unaware of they fixed the problem. Great Family business. I would recommend them to anyone. Will definately use them again.

Beware of this place. I had an emergency and needed my grease trap pumped. The "owner" came out. We kept asking for a quote before they pumped and they wouldn't give us one. Luckily, I knew how many gallons my tank was because they tried to charge me for a 900 gallon tank when I only had a 500 gallon tank. The price he gave me for a 900 gallon tank was over $1100!!!! He reduced it to a little more than $800.
I would never recommend or use again. These people are crooks.

Alex came to fix our sewer pump. I didn't ask him to give me an estimate and had him do the work. He spent 15 hours on this job. He figured out the pump isn't broken. He also ran the camera to pull out some roots in the sewer line. He charged me over $2000 for his 15 hours work. I was very upset his expensive charge and regret I didn't ask the estimate beforehand.
If you want to hire him, make sure you get the estimate. I won't recommend him to do the pump repairs since I don't think he is very experienced.

Was quoted $400 - final bill was $1385.
Almost $1000 of "additional" charges
$270 to cut back foliage (3 men for 30 minutes)
$95 "service fee" (could not explain this charge)
$270 to "stir" (should have been part of pumping
$800 for pump NOT $400 quoted
5% charge (could not explain this charge)
They refunded $235 (service fee and half of the ridiculous "stir" charge.
Claim they had to charge us twice for the pump because they could get up my drive and had to bring a smaller truck but failed to point out until we complained about the price. We would have known this is bogus since we've had 30' semis come up our drive several times. Regardless, the access is from the yard and they never even entered our driveway.
