Over Thanksgiving weekend, we realized we had a major leak in our master bath; we removed the drywall to get a closer look and found a mess. We called a local plumber in Frederick, who was unable to fix it after two tries. It is the Holiday season, and no one could get to us until after the new year. We called Poolesville Plumbing and Heating, and they arrived the next day. Not only did they fix the issues, but they also explained each step of the way what was happening. The level of professionalism, not only from the owner David but also from the plumbers, was amazing. I would highly recommend this company, and if we ever run into plumbing issues again, they will be the first we call.

Poolesville Plumbing is not licensed in the District of Columbia. We used them for a large job and the owner, Dave, lied to us about being licensed. It is illegal for any contractor to work in DC without a license.

He also worked under the license of another plumber...also illegal in DC.
They were very difficult to get a hold of and would rarely call us back or return text messages. Their work is decent but their prices are really high and the owner has a terrible attitude. He knew he wasn't licensed in DC but took the job anyway.

Poolesville Plumbing & Heating Co is a well run local business. The work is done to satisfaction but the fees they charge for the work performed tends to be exorbitant.

We have tried them over the years because we prefer to ""shop local"" and even allowed our tenants to contact them directly when issues arose.

Most recently, however, we have removed them from our list of preferred vendors as we concluded that it is not worth the aggravation. The over charges at the end of the day are more than frustrating.

We cannot recommend the Poolesville Plumbing and Heating Company and suggest you look to more reputable plumbers who charge a reasonable fee or at least will adhere to an estimate and not invoice double the quoted price.

Perfectly simple and fast replacement of my water heater. Cost on par with other companies but I'm biased toward hometown providers so, win-win.

Disappointed in a plumber that I have used for over 20 years. 545 dollars for less than 1 hour work to replace a sump pump. No breakdown of part or labor costs. But the best I can calculate over 300 dollar labor cost for LESS than 1 hour work ! I got a bill in the mail WIth a 1 line no breakdown charge. All it said was
......replaced sump pump 545!!!

I had a sudden brake in my main water line that had to be fix right away. After calling around to a lot of places trying to get an appointment I had little success. On July 3rd I figured it would be an arm and a leg to get same day service. After contacting poolesville plumbing at 8am they had someone out by 1pm. Two guys showed up did a great, clean job while being friendly. The bill showed up today and I was even more impressed. $190 to replace a main water shut off valve and a few feet of pipe that had elbows in it. Highly recommended!
