Our house has a pond and small waterfall that the previous owners installed. It's lovely, but it's in need of a clean-out and some rehab. We called Pondman to get an assessment and estimate, and scheduled an appointment with Bill for 0800 on a week day. Bill never showed up. I called their office number and left a message, only to hear back from Bill after noon, claiming he had an emergency that morning, wondering if I was available right then. Shtuff happens, so we gave him the benefit of the doubt, and got the pond assessed, then scheduled a service visit for another day.

That day was this morning; Bill was supposed to be here between 0800 and 0900 to start work. Given our experience last time, I called the office at 0845 to make sure things were still on track. The office got in contact with ""their guy"", and indicated he was still an hour away.

Based on their complete inability to not only keep an appointment, but to communicate with us when they can't keep an appointment, we will not be doing any business with the Pondman.

We just had our regular pond turned into a pondless feature with waterfalls. We were extremely happy with the Pondman. We received a timly quote, the work was completed on-time and in a very neat, organized way and we are now enjoying our waterfalls without a pond. Looks beautiful and is now an efficient energy saver and looks better than when we had the five foot pond. Plus, no more cleaning out the pond every few months.Water sounds are excellent. The price was fair and the work far exceeding our expectations!

I had a small fry's pond when I move to my home and now Bill, the pondman, enlarged my pond and turned my backyard into a beautiful , relaxing absolutely breathtaking place for me to sit and my fish are loving their lives! No matter what the problem was, he would be there to fix it and I am so grateful because now I love my backyard! Call the Pondman!

Was so impressed with the quick response to my call. Bill was out the next day to assess the project and give an estimate. Work began only a few days later. Our pond/waterfall was in sad shape. The crew spent an entire day refurbishing it and now it looks better than new!

Not many contractors are willing to fix another contractors problems but Bill the Pondman (San Diego) fixed my pond from leaking, put in a filter and replaced the original pump with a better pump for the waterfall. I'm very happy. Months later the pump was leaking and he replaced the gasket free of charge. I appreciate working with Bill because he is more than helpful, honest and is a hard working individual. And His costs were more reasonable than other bids.

Bill , the Pond Man took such good care of my need for fish and pond. The old previous pump broke down just the day I was moving into my newly acquired home, and I knew nothing about care of this. He came with an emergency aerator for the fish, and got me a pump ordered and on its way. He spot checked my pond in between and maintained care of my four koi while waiting... installation was efficient and done quickly, along with all instruction to me how to maintain, clean, and keep the system smooth. I felt totally taken care of with a job at hand that was all new to me. My fish and pond have been fine ever since.

I called Bill the Pondman regarding a leak in my concrete pond. He gave me advice over the phone and offered a suggestion that could possibly be the issue and I could do it myself. I tried it and it did not solve the problem, but I commend Bill for trying to save me the money. So he came out with Cuco and looked at the pond and he found out where the leak was. Cuco came back the next day, was careful to make sure the basin was clean and then he applied the epoxy coating. He was on-time, quick and efficient. I am looking forward to filling my pond back up so we can start enjoying it again. Thanks to Bill and Cuco!

This is the worst contractor ever. Seek someone else. I have a small pond that needed repainting. He did it and guaranteed his work. For the next few months my fish and lilys kept dieing. I thought it was the wrong pH balance in the pond or too much sun. I called him to investigate but he never returned my calls. I hired another company and they tested the paint. They said the paint he used is toxic and is causing my fish and flowers to die.

I have not been able to reach him at all. It has now been 5 months and the paint is peeling off. Now I realize why he wanted payment in check or cash. So that people can't do a charge back through their credit cards when they find out that he's a con artist.

Highly recommend the Pondman. He came out to our pondless waterfall assessed the situation and quickly found the leak. His years of experience and expertise is second to none. Very professional and courteous. He even came back out for a follow up visit to check up on everything.

After many months of frustration with another San Diego pond company to rebuild our pond, I finally called Bill. Best decision I ever made. He did what he said he would do, on the day he said he would do it, at the price he quoted. He exceeded our expectation. We have a mastiff who likes to drink from the pond. As one might imagine, this creates a bit of a problem with knocking rocks into the pond. One of the most thoughtful ideas Bill suggested was to include two separate drinking areas for the pup with larger rocks that would not shift. He incorporated this beautifully. Our pond is now not only stunning, but functionally perfect for our family. If I could give Bill 10 stars I would.
