Our founder stands as a Fifth generation plumbing expert. He has been engaged with his relatives in the plumbing and construction industries in Florida since childhood. He actually consistently went on service calls with his dad starting at age 4. His close family has more than 16+ plumbers & nine or more plumbing/general contractors in the Central and South Florida areas tracing back to the late 1800s. The family of Phillips has contributed in plumbing, construction & building materials that have contributed to creating what we now call Miami Beach commonly called ""South Beach"", North Miami, North Miami Beach, and many other areas such as greater Dade County, Broward County, Palm Beach County and Polk County areas.

His ancestor William S. ""Snooky"" Phillips founded ""Miami Plumbing & Heating"" in 1899 in Miami, Florida. William's ancestor was also construction & initial plumbing systems in the mid to late 19th century. While not much is known about him beyond that, family tradition holds he was involved in construction and plumbing, working for railroad tycoon Henry Flagler. He is considered one of the first plumbing contractors in Florida to be awarded a plumbing contractor's license by Dade County, thanks to his parent's reported affiliation with Henry Flagler & the fact that at that time there were few regulation or plumbing code at any level of government existed. In those days the contractor's licensing was done at the county level and not at the state level as it is done today. For the Phillips family, the term ""Grandfathered"" has a true implication.
