The owner stands as a Fifth-gen plumbing professional. He has been involved with his relatives in the plumbing and construction industries in Florida from a young age. Michael literally regularly joined service calls with his dad starting at age four. His close family boasts more than 16+ plumbers & 9 or more plumbing/general contractors in the Central and Southern Florida areas tracing back to the late 19th century. The Phillips lineage has been involved in plumbing, construction & related materials that have contributed to creating what we now call Miami Beach also known as ""South Beach"", North Miami, North Miami Beach, including many other locations such as greater Dade County, Broward County, Palm Beach County and Polk County regions.

His great great grandfather William S. ""Snooky"" Phillips established ""Miami Plumbing & Heating Co."" in 1899 in Miami, Florida. William's ancestor participated in construction & initial plumbing systems in the mid to late 1800's. Despite limited information about him aside from that, family legend claims he was involved in construction and plumbing, working for railroad tycoon Henry Flagler. Snooky is considered one of the initial plumbing contractors in Florida to be awarded a plumbing contractor's license by Dade County, thanks to his ancestor's alleged affiliation with Henry Flagler & the fact that at that time there was minimal regulation or plumbing code at any level of government existed. In those days the contractor's licensing occurred at the county level and not at the state level as it is done today. For Michael's family, the term ""Grandfathered In"" has literal meaning.
