I called these clowns to install a new kitchen faucet and the price was $325. I sent them packing and called Biff's plumbing who quoted me $125. Needless to say I will never call Polk County Plumbing again!!!

After my tankless hot water heater went out on Sunday, I contacted Billy on Monday to come out and see if it could be repaired. He was very friendly on the phone and told me he would be here after noon. I never asked and he never said what his service charge would be. He and another man, who was very knowledgeable about tankless hot water heaters and my filtration/water softener system, went upstairs to take a look. I went with them and observed the wiser man flip a pressure release valve. He then went in the house and turned on the hot water. Then he went back upstairs and said it was trying to fire up, but must be blocked by debris. Billy proceeded to tell me that it could be flushed for $675.00 but he doubted it would work for longer than 3 to 6 months. I asked what it would cost to replace it with a 40 or 50 gallon water heater. He told me $3700.00. After being without hot water for 48 hours, I asked if there was anything they could do to get me enough hot water to take a shower. Billy said that it wouldn't be worth the $1100.00 to get it running, again telling me it most likely wouldn't work for long. Adding that the money would be better spent toward replacing with the tanked hot water heater. Feeling frustrated, I told him that I would need to speak with my husband. He charged me $125.00 for his invaluable information and went on his merry way. Of course my husband was furious, as it turns out, hot water heaters are less than $500.00. We contacted our contractor and had the hot water heater replaced for $1350.00 (heater, parts, and labor). I definitely will not be calling him back nor recommending him.

After a wasted day and paying Billy 125.00 for nothing I called him this morning to let him know that the scam was up.
Billy tried to charge my wife 3,700 for a 50 galling hot water heater or 1,000 to flush out the tankless.
After billy left the local propane company came out and cleaned the filet and flushed the system for 99.00. They agreed that it wouldn't last long but would last for a few month. It took the local propane company about 15 minutes to flush the lines and check filter.. they felt guilty for charging 99 bucks... Billy wanted 1,000 and that didn't include cleaning the filter. As a matter of fact when he came to our house and looked at the water heater he didn't even check the filter, he didn't even take a wrench from his truck and charged 125.00
Instead of waiting we had the water heater replaced today with the same 50 gallon water heater billy quoted us for 3,700. The total price was 1,350.00 and that included a 150.00 charge for having to come from Houston!
They started the job at 1pm and finished around 2:45.
That means Billy's labor charge is somewhere in the neighborhood of 1,450.00 an hour.
That's right 1,450.00 an hour!
Ivey league big law firms charge 500 an hour. That means you can spend 3 hours with americas greatest legal minds that you can for one hour with Billy the plumber.
Bottom line, Billy saw a woman who needed hot water, he saw her home and he decided to take advantage of it.
Billy is more than welcome to charge 1,450 an hour for his time if he wants to, its legal to do so, but is it ethical?
Buyer beware folks.
Even when I reached out to him he told me he was allowed to charge whatever he wanted to for rates, it's his business. He is correct.
He got 125.00 out of us for doing nothing. Didn't even flush a toilet. But that's ok. 125.00 is a small price to pay to find out what a man is worth. Remember that Billy.
