Point Loma Electric and Plumbing is definitely worth considering if you need electrical repairs. From their prompt reply and ease of scheduling to the quality of service and work they provide they really do take care of their customers. Dan was my technician and his years of experience showed right away. He assessed the areas I needed done then added a few recommendations. He gave me multiple quotes to help save on cost then got right to work. Even when an unexpected plumbing issue occurred, do to the very old pipes and valves in my condo, a technician from the plumbing side of the company came out right away to fix it at no cost as well as another electrician to ensure the minor delay didn't keep Dan from finishing in a timely manner. That's customer service. If you have electrical or plumbing needs they're a solid choice.

All I requested was RO filter change. The staff, 2 men came in and went through all sinks and bathrooms in the house taking photos so they could present me with an expensive update fix to my plumbing. Giovanni was very nice, and professional. The only issue was all I wanted to do was have filters changed. I didn't trust the company after this surprise home evaluation. The filters use cost about 50.00 to replace. These guys wanted 250.00! I had the filters also. I got nothing done and I will be changing the filters.

I applied For an Electrician position job at this Company but I didn't get hired, But, it's ok because I learned lots in few hours from this Company ! I really impressed with their hiring process and with the way they treat their employees!! It's awesome, they really care about safety, the Safety is not just a word in this business place, it's also done very well so all their employees and Supervisors are very aware of safety and care about each other and their costumers

So happy I found these guys! They did work on indoor and outdoor lighting today and did an A+ job. My biggest stress was that I was going to have to do drywall repair but none was needed on any of the lights. Hector and his coworker were awesome. Kept me updated the whole time, were transparent about pricing upfront, and pleasant to work with. Definitely will be using these guys again. On the pricier side, but quality work!

I met with Anthony for a ac installation quote and all went well. He arrived on the later side of the appointment window however the office made sure to maintain clear communication by proving updates on eta. I also received a text message before arrival with the technicians info and eta. Anthony was very patient and assessed every concern throughly. He had an estimate ready for me to look over. A day later I had a question about the estimate and he was kind enough to call back and provide clarification. Very professional!

We have a new breaker panel and two new dedicated outlets...plus various other small projects that were repaired/replaced. Nicholas A came out with Frankie and they did an excellent job for us. Those guys were very professional and courteous. Our home was built in 1941...we have had PLE do all the work and there was a lot! We always asked for Nick to handle the new projects that came up since he knew our house from crawl-space to attic and all points in between...we had Central A/C installed in August and needed our panel replaced with 200 amps because our old system was overloaded. PLE has the most professional people working for them and so polite, respectful and courteous. Harley (in the office) was also very pleasant and efficient while running interference with SDG&E! Highly recommend this company!

Everyone we interacted with was very nice and courteous. We called to get a quote to install and electric hot water heater with a heat pump. The lady on the phone was very committed to scheduling us in and a few hours later, a plumber arrived to give us a quote.

I told the plumber we were interested in getting an electric hot water heater with a heat pump. I added that we have solar so the solar would cover any electricity we used. The plumber said, ""Gas is so cheap. Electricity is so expensive, you don't want to do that."" Here's where my experience went downhill. By that comment, it was clear to me that the plumber didn't understand the new techology or was just trying to upsell me.

I got a quote for $4k to install a 50 gallon gas heater or $6k to install a tankless unit. Two days after the initial visit, I got an itemized breakdown of their gas heater estimate (no itemized breakout for the $6k tankless estimate). Labor for the regular gas heater was $1,800. These costs are for all materials and labor.

Anyways, as I mentioned before, everyone I spoke with was nice and friendly. I wish the plumber hadn't been so dismissive of the new techology and their prices weren't so high. I ended up getting my electric/heat pump heater installed for about $1k + the cost of the unit $800. That's correct, my total cost of $1,800 was equal to their labor installation cost.

Summary, nice people. Seemingly prices on the higher end.

I've been thinking about replacing my water heater for a few months when I realized that I had 18 years on my current water heater (apparently 8 to 12 is the expected lifetime). I'd been putting it off. However, we noticed an unrelated leak from our bathroom into our kitchen, so I figured I'd have them come out and give me a quote for a new water heater and to fix the leak.

Right from the get-go, the experience was great. The called and scheduled a consultation (and waived the $65 service fee - maybe because of COVID?) right away. They sent a text, email, and called me to let me know when the technician was on his way out.

Mark came out and gave me the rundown on a new water heater. He gave me several options, but we wound up going with a tankless heater. Additionally, he said the leak was because of poor caulking and that we just needed to re-do that. My wife and I a fairly handy so we wound up doing that ourselves. Didn't charge us for the advice.

Then Mark and another co-worker (I can't remember his name) and replaced our 18 year old water heater with a new tankless model. Endless hot water!

All along the way Harley was giving us calls to let us know when they were coming out and on their way.

Great experience with these guys.

They advertised they would give an estimate on Yelp but wouldn't give one unless they came to your house and had a 2 week waiting period before they could come.
Don't want to screw up their rating but that was my experience.
