This review is primarily for the Plumbsmart Home Repair side. We had the plumbing for our entire house redone recently after a leak in the overhead pipes. Cost was a lot less than a major competitor that advertised on tv. Jeremy, our project manager, was super. He came back out promptly to correct a couple of minor plumbing issues before drywall was replaced.
My positive review is primarily for Bridges, the young man that replaced all the drywall. He was always timely, advised us on how long things would take, cleaned up any mess he created and did meticulous work! He is an asset to your company.
I called for drain cleaning after hearing PlumbSmart commercials on 550 KFYI Radio.
The staff was most helpful and dispatched Devin who arrived within an hour, clean cut young man with booties on his shoes, put plastic on the floor, got the work done quickly and CLEANED UP after himself.
The price was as quoted without most reasonable.
I have four homes and will definitely will use PlumbSmart in the future.

Well, summer came and went...our air conditioner that was in need of repair..(both of them) had no problem at all. They ran all day everyday for the whole summer...so guess Plumbsmart did try to get us to replace something that didn't need replaced. I hear ads for these people on the radio saying they don't try to sell something that we don't need... I just have to laugh when I hear that. I am so glad we got a second opinion and didn't get sucked in to this ""crap""...

I hired Plumbsmart for plumbing issue and the plumber, Erik was phenomenal. we then hired their handyman team to help us finish our bathroom they quoted us one thing. because we decided we will just get the shower done than rest another time . so they gave us a quote for just t be shower and we paid it in full. well he did half of what was excepted and never came back to finish. I have been DYI ing how to finish stuff. and they quoted us more than what was quoted for the rest of the bathroom and the shower would have been done. I do not like being burned so this is why they are getting this rating. three because the plumber was amazing.
We are a household of 4 seniors age 60-89. We had a local power outage in mid July that caused a surge when the power came back on. When other power returned we had no AC. This was on a Friday. After calling a few places plumb smart gave the soonest time of the following Tuesday. When they arrived and pulled the electric panel and found the fuse had burnt. Charging us $89 just for showing up and saying they would be calling me for an appointment with electrician. When they did not 2 housemates changed out the fuse and wire. We got their electrician to check the work on Wednesday when unit still didn't turn on. Thursday they were back out and told us the unit was frozen up, so there must be a leak. They would send out their top technician to put in a dye to find the leak at $745 because he didn't want to put in the stop leak stuff because this could ruin the unit. The next guy that came out convinced my husband that the dye didn't show the leak so and stop leak stuff was necessary and was all included in the $745 I had already paid them in advance. This was my first clue they were not on the up and up. I had already been charged for the sealant the first guy that said i shouldn't use it unless absolutely necessary. As it could clog the unit and cause us to be forced to buy a new unit. Then they put in 5 units of coolant and sending me a picture of meter reading of 410. Long story short. It could cost $4000 to repair. Or i could just replace it. He also sent me 2 replacement unit cost of $10k-$15k. Stating the seal could last 10 hours or 10 months. When this story was told to a neighbor they had another company come see what plumb smart had done. When they took a meter reading it was 550. This company suggested i have PS remove all of the 5 units of unneeded coolant as that was going to make my 8 yr old AC unit work way too hard. He said that my unit had been misdiagnosed. I called and Eric from PS did come back out and remove the 5 units saying he didn't know what had happened. I called Sarah the next day. They were going to refund the coolant cost only of $420. That's when i was told that 300 of what i had paid 2 days in advance was the sealant that they supposedly were going to try not to use. She did end up giving an additional $100 refund after i stated i would never use them again. I just feel they were trying to intimidate us into buying a new unit, taking advantage of a bunch of seniors.
I don't want to think they would sabotage our unit but it seems that way when they put in a sealant when they didn't even have proof of a leak and then causing my unit to over work by putting in Way Too Much coolant, Plus someone switched the fan to low on the roof making it feel like it wasn't putting out enough air.
I first called Plumbsmart when my AC was not keeping the house cool enough. This was August 2023, on a Sunday, and they were able to come out the next day if I remember correctly. I was surprised at how quickly they were able to come out because the other guys said it would be 2 weeks before they could come out.
They fixed the AC. I think it was the coils that needed attention. I was quite happy with the service and the price was reasonable. I called back to have them look at my 2 slow draining bathroom sinks. That was an easy fix at under $100.00. I will call them for future plumbing issues and expect to see them again in September for the AC. They are professional and polite and they follow up with customers. They also call and let you know they are on the way over. Their prices are fair.
Seniors Beware I am 77 year old senior....I called Plumbsmart heating and air for a simple leak test and evac on new mini split a/c unit completely installed and pre loaded with refrigerant. 45 min job. The service arrived and looked at the job. He presented me with a cost of $569.00. For this service. He stated it was only a 45 min job. I said no thanksl
I called another A/C company who did the job in 30 minutes and charged me $200. Keep in mind the unit was already precharged with freon.
Jim P.It's difficult to write this review. we have been customers for about 20 years. Our last experience was terrible. The technician, Francisco, tried to tell us he couldn't make a simple repair and to ""properly"" repair our problem it would cost $5,000+. The cost to repair the real problem was $1,500, which was repaired by a ROC licensed plumber. We also were stuck with an unnecessary $600 underground leak detection bill, and to top it off, he damaged some of our plumbing which we had repaired by another licensed plumber for $200.
At this point I am trying to decide whether to file with the Registrar of Contractors or whether a fraud complaint with the Attorney General would be more appropriate.
I rarely ever provide reviews because a.) i'm very busy and b.) it is almost impossible to find service providers that rise to the level where they should be called out. To keep this short: I own several rentals in the Phoenix area and routinely need upkeep work on all fronts. I had a rental abused by a former tenant and with an avalanche of 'to do's' it has been a nightmare trying to get reliable, fair priced, great quality service from almost everyone in any capacity. PlumbSmart did the stuff you would expect, show up on time, communicate, fix the problem, etc. Where I felt the review was needed was that during the visit there were issues that were found that drove the cost higher than what I had budgeted. I expressed my frustration to the tech and reluctantly agreed to pay the bill. Within 5 minutes I receive a call from Rob at Plumbsmart wanting to know how they can make it right...i didn't expect much if any concessions and figured it was a courtesy call and that's it. Rob listened and in the end took off more than I asked for. It's been a long time since I have seen a company 'walk the walk' when it comes to 'customer first'. Everyone 'talks the talk' but Plumb Smart backs it up and really to them your loyalty is most important. They are more than fair, trust worthy, excellent at what they do and I have a Plumbing, Heating, & Air Con vendor for life. I owe them this for the way they cared for me.
