I just had a very unpleasant experience at Plumbparts on Veterans Blvd in Kenner this morning. After purchasing a stopper for a sewer line on May 7, I was unsure about the size of the part and had a lengthy discussion with the salesperson about the return policy. He said as long as the part was unopened it could be returned within 30 days. This morning (June 1) I drove about 15 miles to return the part, with receipt in hand, and was told the return policy is 10 days firm. The sales associate could not have been more rude and downright ugly. Horrendous customer service. I left the part and my receipt on the counter and said for them to keep it and to stick it somewhere. :-/
I will never go back to this business and would recommend that others follow my lead. The saddest part is that the item cost $7.37. I guess a customer relationship is worth less than 7.37 to this sorry business. Good luck to you and I wish you well.

I had the pleasure to go to Plumbparts with my mom recently because our faucet was dripping. We took our faucet apart, brought the pieces in, gave it to the owner, he gave us new parts, we checked out, and within a few minutes we fixed our faucet for a third of the price a plumber would charge!

Had been searching high and low for a certain type of tub faucet valve cartridge to replace a broken one and had no luck with other folks for like 6 months. Finally got referred to Plumbparts by another plumbing supply dealer. Plumbparts had what I needed in stock! Hallelujah! The guy was super knowledgeable and friendly. Will definitely go back there anytime I have plumbing equipment/fixtures questions.

A leaking shower in a 110 year old house with ancient valves yielded up a pair of stems that were not easily identified on all the various Internet parts sites.
Freret Hardware couldn't match it, so they referred me to Plumbparts. They had it. Everything fit up nicely. He was even able to fit a pair of Price Phister knobs onto the American Standard stem with an adapter, so I could retain the original cross-style ceramic handles.
Turns out the ""antique"" cross-style handles had a plastic set of inside tines, so they were not nearly as antique as the completely rusted-out retaining screws had led me to believe. The updated version that Freret actually did carry would have worked with my partciular two-valve body, but the Freret guys didn't know that.
I will bring all my future obscure residential plumbing questions to the counter here.

My husband went to the big box stores and 2 other plumbing ""super"" stores before being sent here. We were looking for a needle in a haystack with a 1961 vintage shower faucet. Low and behold the ""oracle of plumbing"" walked a few steps away and came back with exactly what we needed. Hopefully we won't have to come back, but if we do, you'll be our first stop. Thank you Plumbparts!

Whatever your plumbing needs, these dudes will have it. Maybe a little pricier and certainly on their own schedule. But the upside is unlike multiple trips to Home Depot or Lowe's you likely will make only one trip.

This small store at the end of a strip mall in Kenner is *the* place to get the part you're looking for. Those odd aerators for the faucet, the right stem for the faucet, replacement handles that actually fit your sink or toilet...it's all here. Bring the part if it is easy enough to handle and with few words they will walk down the aisle behind the front counter and come back with exactly what you need!
On more than one occasion I've come here after several trips to multiple hardware stores.... I no longer go to hardware stores and definitely not the big box home center for any plumbing needs - I just start here and do it right the first time!

The guy who works here is unofficially known as the ""Oracle of Plumbing"". I was referred here when I needed parts for an old tub and came up empty-handed at Lowe's, Home Depot, and Ace Hardware. I just showed it to the Oracle and he disappeared for 2 minutes, then return with the exact part that I needed. It felt like magic.

When the plumbing warehouse in New Orleans gives you that look like ""you thought we carried that?"" you start getting really nervous about your DIY plumbing project. ""There goes the weekend, and probably pulling the shower wall down to change out the entire assembly"" you might say to yourself as I did.
I'd never heard of Plumbparts and I wasn't excited about driving out to Kenner but they not only had the stem I needed but also the cosmetic trim. Seemed a little expensive when I was there but I since looked online and can see that for the convenience of not having to ship an urgent part (and considering the amount of stock they have) they're well worth it.
I didn't see their hours posted here or on Google, so they're 8-4pm M-F, and 8-3 on Saturday.

I bought a kitchen faucet from COSTCO.
We got some paint on it and while cleaning it lost an o-ring so that the thing leaked badly.
I took a picture of it and went to Plumbparts. They figured out the right part I needed and I fixed my sink. Great place to find the part you need
