This guy Doug Pierce is a scam artist. His approach seems to be honest and decent, but beware he'll rob you blind. I made a mistake hiring him from Chino hills connections recommendations to change a 4 foot leaking PVC water line which I already dug up and pointed out the leak. He said he couldn't give the estimate until he dug down more to make sure that was the only leaking location. Since he seemed decent so I said he could come back to do it on Mon which he didn't show up as promised. Then he came the next day around 1 pm for 5 min and had a laborer digging around a little. Later I had to text him to see if he would come back to cut out and install the new PVC (approx 4 feet). He said it was to late to come back to install the PVC (it was only 3 pm). Then, he came the next day and put in the PVC piece then left again. Finally, he came back the next day around 2 pm to fill the hole. My plants were not planned back, placed on top of the dirt. He took 3 days to do 2-3 hours job.
A few days later, he sent a bill for $600, the cost to replace the 4 feet PVC pipe.
This guy is a crook...DO NOT EVER HIRE HIM, DO NOT BELIEVE RECOMMENDATIONS FROM CHINO HILLS CONNECTIONS ABOUT DOUG PIERCE AT PLUMBING WEST. HE WILL ROB YOU.
Always check out on Yelp before you hire someone.

Still a ripoff artist! A person who is actually a thief in my opinion. He stole my money, did not do the job. Cost me lots of time, money and aggravation. Do yourself a favor and hire a REAL plumber!

Honest and reliable! Great guy for emergency situations! He showed up 15 minutes before our appointment time and came highly recommended by several neighbors who have used him for numerous repairs. He was super friendly and patient in figuring out the issue and listening to what the problem was. Repeat customers speak volumes. Not sure about other reviewers' feedback but maybe he's better for in-house plumbing versus landscape and I definitely believe in - you get what you pay for. Quality service should not be compromised for cheaper fees.

Hired Doug Pearce with Plumbing West to do rough in plumbing for a bathroom remodel. The first day he was supposed to work he never showed up or called us despite numerous calls and texts to him to determine when he would show up. The shower valve he installed leaks and he ran the new plumbing for the sink outside the wall. We tried calling and texting him to correct these issues, but he wouldn't return calls or texts. Have since found out from others in our community he's done the same thing. Bad work, gets paid and once problems are discovered he won't return calls or take responsibility for his bad work.

Over priced. Owner Doug Pearce brings his partner Bob whom takes care of the electrical aspect of repairs, along with Doug whom does the plumbing. Bob replaced 2 electrical outlets with a Leviton 20 Amp Outlet - (cost approx. $4. ea.), charged me $75. for both outlets that took him 20 mins. to replace.
As for plumbing, replaced Shower head, tub valve. $295.
Appointment was at 9:30am., he called at 10:27am to advise he was running late and would be here at 11am. Arrived at 12pm.

Doug is a very nice social gentleman, just over priced in my experience.

What else can I say, a plumber that does what they say their gonna do in a timely and efficient manner. Pricing was fair and accurate with the original estimate at completion of the re-pipe. Outstanding customer service from an honest plumber with quality work and integrity which can be hard to find these days. Also my re-pipe was completed ahead of schedule and in time for my sons graduation party.

I have used Plumbing West several times over the past couple years. The owner is Doug Pearce who is a trustworthy plumber, something hard to find. He is located in Chino Hills and almost always was able to come out same day or next day of me calling.

His prices are always fair and he doesn't try and sell you plumbing you don't need. I highly recommend Plumbing West!!!!!!
