Stay away from this business if your home warranty sends them decline they will lie to the company because they don't want the job very untruthful consider yourself warned

It is rare to give a plumber 5 stars but Oscar was fantastic. He was sent out by our home warranty company, but when it was clear they wouldn't cover the work we worked directly with Oscar to repipe our house. Oscar was responsive, friendly and well priced. He clearly communicated as he worked through the job and always made sure we had running water at the end of the day and that the washer and dryer were running. As a mom with young kids this is a requirement. Oscar will be our go to plumber.

This is the 2nd time I've called Oscar, because of a failure. The last was the bottom falling out of our water heater, 7pm, Saturday evening. He swung by Home Depot, within minutes of closing, bought a water heater, and had it installed and running in our garage, by 10pm that night.
That kind of service is extremely rare in the Bay Area (speaking from 50 years of experience). So, I kept his card.
Our recent failure was a 24 year old tract home kitchen sink, that started to leak around the drain fixture in one of the bowls. After dealing with small business owners, for 50 years, I have come to realize the best results are when one lets the expert take a general description of what the customer wants, and applies artist's license. The photo below speaks for itself.
As other plumbing fixtures inevitably fail in our tract home, Oscar is on speed dial.
Side note, while passing the time, while Oscar was struggling in the tight space under the sink, he explained that much of his business comes from repairs required, under the latest fashion, 'home appliance insurance'. To those of you, who are contemplating subscribing to such a service, give this some thought:
How does an insurance company make a profit, if they provide more benefit, than the premiums they are collecting?
Why would a consumer of such a service, who must understand that they pay more out in premiums, that these insurance companies will ever part with in a real claims, expect premium quality/timely replacement fixtures?
Who do you suppose gets squeezed in the middle, to make up the difference in expectations, yet has to eke out a living, and a profit?
Would it not be money well saved and spent, to simply set aside those premiums, for the rainy day, when fixtures inevitably break, so as to get the kind of artistry displayed below?

I had an emergency situation where my shower faucet broke and water started flooding. Oscar was awesome , he showed up in a timely fashion and helped fix the issue. Oscar is my new go to guy for plumbing issues.

Just want to clarify this review is based on professional service.
I was very apprehensive about Oscar after reading his reviews on yelp when my insurance assigned the job to him.
But what a surprise. he handled my request on urgent basis. and he was so polite in explaining me the cause and informed me about what all will be covered by insurance. after the service my insurance denied cost of one part which was around $150 Oscar helped me in clarifying to the insurance and getting the claim paid by insurance. after a week the problem persisted and yesterday yet again he came on urgent basis. And now he is getting me a new water heater. he offered me few more options if i like it.
Oscar always make it clear that we are well informed about the job, costs and coverage.
i have few investment properties too. thanks to my insurance for introducing me to Oscar. i have a trustworthy plumber.

Oscar is great. I was referred here by my home warranty company. Oscar was prompt in scheduling an appointment. Showed up on time and fixed the water heater. He also explained the pros and cons of different types of water heaters and different brands. Very friendly. Thank you, Oscar!!

AVOID Plumbing Werx AT ALL COSTS. My Home Warranty Company send them out to clear a blockage at the main sewer line. Upon arrival they claimed that the issue was on the city side ad refused to do the work. They called my Home Warranty Company and provided them with incorrect information that resulted in my claim being denied.
I had the West Valley Sanitation District send out one off their plumbers. The West Valley Sanitation District plumber indicated that the blockage of the main sewer line was on the home side and not on the city side. He indicated that Plumbing Werx should have fixed the problem when they came out to the house.
The West Valley Sanitation District plumber then called my Home Warranty Company, corrected the misinformation that Plumbing Werx had given them.
My Home Warranty Company then reversed their position and covered the claim. They re-dispatched the call and sent out South County Plumbing who fixed the problem. The blockage was less than 2 feet in the clean out.
Call me at 650-468-2550 and I'd be happy to discuss this issue further.
AVOID Plumbing Werx AT ALL COSTS.

Oscar responded to our call quickly and fixed the problem without any trouble. Very nice and respectful guy. And now we have hot water once again, thanks to him!

Our home warranty sent these guys out when we had 3 leaks open up in the house at once. 2 were easy fixes for them but the third ended up being a real pain in the ass - old bent pipe coming out of slab foundation inside the wall, with a series of pinholes in it. Nightmare.
They worked on it late into the night on a Friday and, when they weren't able to finish, came back early Saturday morning to finish. (Did I mention we live more than an hour from them?) It was clear that it was a maddening leak that they were not getting paid enough to deal with, but they determinedly stuck with it though it cost them half their weekend.
Good guys, and they do good work. Now excuse me while I go take a nice hot shower.

My warranty company sent Oscar to fix a kitchen sink that was leaking from the hose. He quickly diagnosed and went and got the right parts and came back to fix it. His work was great and it was also a pleasure talking to him about unrelated matters while he was working on this issue.
