Wish I would have gone to Yelp for reviews first. Had me sign off on a $700 repair. Later they returned with a $2,700 bill. I don't have training as a plumber, but the scare tactics in the prior review sound very familiar... They also talked in first person how their work has a warranty but then dropped someone else off to do the work.

NEVER USE THEM!! You may find good reviews on your google search but they are a big RIPOFF!!!! Called because of having an issue with a clogged AC drain (AC repair guy tried to blow out the line but it didn't work so he said to contact a plumber). Girl who answered the phone mentioned a free evaluation. They send a guy out.. seemed nice but I didn't feel he was knowledgable although he said he had 15 yrs experience. He said he could try to clear out the line with the compressor. I mentioned that the AC guy had tried that but it didn't work.. He mentioned that he had a more powerful compressor. I asked if it could damage the pipes and he said """"No..it's just air"""" Long story short.... after talking to me and looking at the possible issue, he went outside and said he would write up the work order and come back in. Came back with an invoice with a $49 service charge. When I complained, he said he would take that off (typical sales bullshit!) Then he has listed 5 services with all totalling over $500. The main service item was """"use high pressure compressor to clear out condensate line""""= $225. I complained and he started crossing off items and asked if I just wanted him to use the compressor to clear out the condensate line. I said """"No"""" These companies are such ripoffs... You need to find an independent guy to do the work.

My experience with plumbingrescuefl back in May 2012.. I have a rental house that had a clog in the bathroom drainage so I went on google and searched for a drainage plumber. Their website came up and I read their advertisement and it mentioned that they can unclog any drains for $79 and no charges will be applied if they can't fix it. I called and scheduled the appointment. When the plumber tech came out, the first thing he mentioned to me was that he had to use the camera to determine the root cause but it will cost me 199.00 to use the camera and I need to authorize the payment. I told him no and he said he is not going to use the snake to unclog my bathroom drainage unless he knew the root cause. He then misled me that if he uses the camera and then determines the root cause, he can use the snake to fix the issue and all I had to pay was $79. I decided to go ahead with the payment authorization because I figured what the hake, worst case scenario, I only have to pay him $79 for his service right? Wrong!!! Little did I know, this is one of the tactics that Plumbingrescuefl uses to scam on me. He went on top of the roof and made a call to his sales manager and about half and hour later, his sales manager called me and informed me that all my drains were bad and that snaking alone will not resolve the issue. He said that his company (Plumbingrescuefl) has this high tech tool to jet out all the clog drains for $5000.00 (five thousand dollars) but they have this special now for $3095.00. I knew immediately that it was a scam so I told the sales manager and plumber tech that I'm not interested and they left. An hour later, the plumber tech called me up and asked me for the credit card info for $199.00 fee for his camera usage. I told him that he didn't fix my issue so why I have to pay 199.00. He said he found the root cause and proposed the solution ($3095 to fix) and if I don't want to fix it, then it's my problem but I have to pay $199.00 for his camera usage. A disagreement ensues and he threaten to put me on collection if I don't pay the fee. I went ahead and paid the company 199.00 since I wasn't there locally and didn't want to waste any more of my time with them. I was able to call another plumber company and they came out and resolved the issue for fraction of the cost that Plumbingrescuefl quoted me for. The bottom line is that this company is not ethical. They are out there to scam on customers. Customers out there should be aware of their intention. There are complaints against this company on every website you can think of. Unluckily, I was not smart enough to look online before calling Plumbing Rescue. They intentionally charged my credit card for nearly twice the total they gave me before fixing my shower. By the way, the shower does not work either but that's another problem. Do no use these guys. Please read the filtered reviews on Yelp and you'll see that they have been scamming people around Florida.

In my opinion, Plumbing Rescue Florida (Pinellas County) is a high-pressure sales organization. They just happen to be in plumbing. The Good: Great customer service with quick and courteous workers. There is no extra charge for after hours service. They came out 4 days in a row and redid the """"pipe resurfacing"""" twice because they weren't satisfied. Plus they finance...and you will need financing once you get their quote. The Bad: We had a whole-house clog and from the moment Plumbing Rescue Florida showed up they were telling me that I would probably need a total sewer replacement. """"Cast iron only lasts 20 years so we'll try some quick fixes, but you will need a totally new sewer line,"""" all 3 workers told me as if coached. They up-sold me several times from the initial coupon I had with my final bill being over $1,500 with no resolution. The $79 Coupon wouldn't work in my case but they would snake the line for $179. The Free Camera would cost me more money as that coupon didn't apply as well. They told me they would """"resurface my pipes"""" but that service turned out to be a hose with a special end attached to a pressure washer. They tried the snake and the """"state of the art"""" camera but my pipes were """"so degraded"""" that they couldn't get the snake or the camera up into the pipes to see what the matter was. The first quote they gave me was for $8,500 for a total sewer line replacement... including the """"beyond repair"""" pipes in the house. I told them I needed a second opinion. Upon hearing this the Sales Rep got agitated, went out to the yard, did some random measurements and came in with an apology. He said that he had made a mistake and had given me the wrong estimate. He then said (with a straight face) that my job would now cost over $10,000, but if I would sign up for their monthly maintenance plan ($7.95 a month) he would drop it to $7,100. I told them again that I needed a second opinion. The sales manager was not happy...the guy actually doing the job seemed relieved that I was standing up to the sales guy. The Resolution: I called an honest, reputable local plumber and he was able to get his old camera all the way into the city sewer system as well as into my toilet. The pipes in my house are showing their age (60 years old), but don't need to be replaced at this time. There was a clog down at the city end of things that we needed to repair so for $1,400 we had a totally new sewer run from our house to the city. We could have just replaced the problem end, but we are hoping to remodel in a few years so went ahead and did the whole thing. That was a few weeks ago and we've been totally fine since. Should you use Rescue Plumbing Florida? If you have a simple sink clog, yes. They are probably good for that and will not charge you for odd times. Just realize that all their reps receive training in plumbing as well as sales (2-3 times a week according to all 3 guys who showed up and according to the general sales manager who called me). If you have a bigger job? In my opinion, run. Do not let them start the up-sell and do not let them touch anything. Through all this, I talked to a local builder who does Old Northeast remodels as well as other people in the building trades. All who I talked to pretty much rolled their eyes and said, """"call another plumber!!!!""""

HUGE ripoff! I can't believe this company is not under investigation for fraud. Maybe they are. The DA should take a close look at these folks...especially their tactics with elderly citizens. They wanted two grand to sell me AIR. Which by the way I already knew would not fix the blockage. We've had the clogged drains flushed in the past every year or two...just built-up typical grease etc in old drains. The usual fee is $100.00 or so, so when he came in with his estimate I LAUGHED! they the threats and dire predictions began. POND SCUM. I got angry and loud and threw them off my property. Had a clog in main drain from kitchen. No doubt it was a large clog in the main. The tech seemed unable to work a snake well enough to get it to turn. The $79 coupon turned quickly to a much bigger job. They dug a 4x4x4 hole in front yard and removed 4 ft section of pipe that connect to sewer line. They came the next day to use a camera, said there was a depression in line causing clog. Wouldn't tell us where because we may dig it up and fix it ourselves (?) anyhow, the next day same Tech and a helper worked for over 6 hours trying to get the snake to work, at 4pm the supervisor arrived again and had it through in an hour. They cleaned the line into the hole in front yard, insisted on pay, now at $1400. Left that night with the promise they would be back first thing in the morning to reconnect us to the street and fill in the huge hole. Never saw them again. So we did have to fix the reconnect ourselves in the end. 4 days with no water or sewer, $1400 for a clog, and a trip to Home Depot and a lot of shoveling. Not even a follow up from anyone in such a HUGE company! Don't call.

Scam artists. Quoted 2300 to flush pipes and they couldn't get the clog with snake. Nor could they find the clean out in the front yard. tried all different scare tactics, etc with me. None worked. local plumber snaked clog from.roof and found clean out. 100 bucks. I will tell friends, family, and coworkers to avoid this company like the plague. No stars, but had to put at least.one.
