Judy W.Never again! I took the advice of a radio host 2 years ago, only to find out 2 years later, our disposal wasn't installed correctly. No seal, not mounted correctly. ( oh, and out of warranty) Our current service call said he's surprised it didn't fall out! When I asked why it would have taken 2 years, he replied, it probably vibrated its way to a bad leak which i had. The plumber we had this time remedied the bad install from the Plumbing Professors. Nope! I really didn't want to give one star because we got charged off the chain. $20 coupon, don't fall for it. They just charge more to make up for it. Big downer.
Very disappointed in the service. When I called, was told that most problems could be fixed same-day. In our case it was not. Fine, understandable. But then why pay $99 basically just to get a quote on a job (which is basically all that was done in the visit)? It's a scam. And the quote was WAY overpriced. When I asked if I could buy the parts (faucet/spout), I found almost identical parts at HomeDepot for about $80. They quoted me $375.
Would NEVER recommend and would never call again.
Lori H.Hired Plumbing Professors to implement their new technology lining our orange bird clay pipe to main sewer line. They showed up for the scheduled appointment, attempted the work, ran into an obstacle and declared they could not complete the work. Have been attempting to reschedule the work and/or GET MY MONEY BACK ($2750) with no luck. Lengthy history of email communication with broken promises and missed dates. Would not hire nor recommend for hire.
Marriage Means M.Plumbing Professors is the only place we will give our business to! Not only are they prompt and professional but they explain the process and have GREAT customer service. Matthew was the BEST Plumber, not only did he have a positive attitude, quality service but he was on time and respected our time... Thanks for a positive experience as we have dealt with bad plumbers in the past. We would recommend Matthew for any job in our home or yours!

Lynde-Colin F.My wife and I have a house in Westland we are getting ready to sell. The painters called and told me we had water backing up through the drain and was starting to flood the basement so we called Plumbing Professors. The service tech called me and let me know when he would be at the house and was on time, even before we got there. He checked out the problem and informed us what he thought it was and estimated the cost. We agreed and he proceeded to perform the drain clean out and was spot on. The drain was opened, the cost was to the penny of the estimate. I would have no problem recommending this company for your service work.
Called this company due to getting water in our basement when it rains. They charged us $99 for the service call but the KID who showed up couldn't tell us anything about what the problem was so basically we didn't know anything more when he left than we did before we called them. He said he could come back Monday with a camera ($300) to snake through the drain to see if they MIGHT find a problem and said the camera might get stuck by something before they could tell IF there is a problem somewhere in the drain tiles. Then he said that the camera could actually CAUSE damage if the camera were to break through some thin barrier which would then allow debris and whatnot to clog an area that was not already clogged. Or, if we didn't like that option, he said they could jackhammer through the basement floor to try to see if there is something wrong with the drain tiles under the floor but they wouldn't know exactly where to look since they DON'T KNOW what the problem is. That would take ALL DAY and who knows what that would cost, and who knows if my basement would ever be the same after that. So, they charge you $99 to tell you nothing, give you option 1 and then tell you it might not work and could actually cause damage, or could they jackhammer into your basement floor to see if that might help them figure out what the problem is. What a RIP OFF!!! Don't call, don't waste your money with this company!
Kylie J.We've had a clogged bathtub drain for a few months, and lately it got to the point where it couldn't be ignored anymore. Called this company and the guy immediately told us there wasn't anything he could do without charging us A LOT more than advertised. After trying to upsell, we told him just unclog it so it can be used for a little while until we need to put out big bucks to get the drain replaced. He just snaked the drain. And didn't fix ANYTHING. He charged us $59 to do literally nothing and leave our tub a complete mess (which will take forever to clean cause it takes about 2-4 for the tub to drain). Basically, don't hire these guys.
