After landing back home after a two-and-a-half week vacation abroad, we went to take a nice hot shower and found that the pipe had sprung a leak. We called several services until finding Scott at Plumbing Plus, and no one could give us immediate attention (many were booked up to 30 days) but Scott came through for us with a next-day appointment, and was able to work through a previous contractor's sloppy work to identify the problem, and come up with a solution to repair it. With one quick trip to the hardware store for a part, he immediately got to work and took care of fixing the repair within 4 hours' time. Since we rent our home, the owner of the place will definitely appreciate that we have found someone as knowledgeable and efficient as Scott, especially since it's highly likely that we will need to hire him back to do a bit more work to re-install the drain line if the building owner approves it. He even wrote out very detailed information about the previous contractor's improper installation and his recommendation to have the drain and overflow actually replaced in the near future to avoid further issues. As an added *plus* he has a great personality and is very easy to talk with. We are very grateful to have found his service, and happy to give a 5-star rating to Plumbing Plus! We used Scott for the third time today... and it was a great experience! Scott replaced our garbage disposal almost two years ago. I called him last week and told him that it was leaking but I didn't think it should be as it's less than two years old and I don't really use it all that often. He mentioned that it very well could be a loose connection and he would try to fit me in as soon as he could. I explained that while it was a nuisance that I couldn't use it, it was by no means an emergency so we scheduled him to come today, which was about 5 days after we spoke.

Scott kept in touch with me all morning to let me know his arrival time estimate and then when he arrived he fairly quickly deduced that the connecting pipe going out of the disposal (and difficult to see) had come loose. He not only fixed the connection and then tested the disposal to make sure there was no leaking, but he also thoroughly cleaned all the pipes under my sink, the entire cabinet floor and the entire faucet above the sink too. He then explained that since this repair happened less than 2 years from the installation of the disposal, he was not charging me but if it happened again, we may need to discuss rearranging the pipes under the sink in which case he would have to charge me.... MORE than fair!!

Scott is very personable and easy to work with. He is chatty, but he freely admits it and also assures you that you won't be charged for his love of talking. We've never felt that he over-charged us and have always eagerly appreciated his time and workmanship. He's busy and sometimes hard to nail down for an appointment but I see that also as a positive sign. I don't want to hire the plumber that nobody wants and is always available, right??

Had an urgent need and Scott was able to come by that night at a premium, but I felt his premium rate was very fair nonetheless. He was great with communication and showed very good knowledge of Bayfarm housing (which has its plumbing challenges). He showed up as promised and even explained a lot of what he was doing and why. It was great. A class act in every respect and didn't try to extract more from me even though he could've taken his time late at night. Highly recommended.

He came as a referral from another Alameda plumber (also with great reviews) who was too busy. I really appreciate that Scott and others can freely tell who in the area does good work, refers to each other as needed, and really tries to do right for the customer.

After seeing the stellar reviews for Plumbing Plus on Yelp as well as the Facebook page, Alameda, Peeps, we hired Scott yesterday to replace our leaking hot water heater. He completed his job for his first client and then came to our house at 3:30 p.m. and stayed until almost 9:00 p.m. until the job was done. Scott was extremely personable and very knowledgeable, experienced and thorough. He did an excellent job with our installation and we would definitely hire him again for future plumbing needs.

He was very nice and knowledgeable, but never followed up with a quote. In fact, he led me on. I texted him over the span of two weeks (Feb 25th to Mar 16th), asking for the quote he promised. He kept saying he would send it to me. Finally he told me to go with another plumber. I will!

Scott is a terrific communicator! Thoroughly discussed my issue with me on the phone so that I ultimately realized that I didn't really need a plumber! How many plumbers will do that?!!
Even though he didn't perform any work for me I will call him without hesitation the next time I have an issue.

Scott is great. I've been cheated by so many plumbers at my condo in Alameda and finally discovered Scott a few years ago. His work and prices have been good every time and he is an honest person. He even changed around his schedule for my emergency today. Recommended to anyone looking for a good plumber.
