Darrell Rhyner, the owner/operator, has instantly become our go to plumbing and heating expert!!! Our furnace quit on us Super Bowl Sunday, and we had to turn to our costly gas fireplace to heat downstairs. I was lucky to find his business through a Google search, and called yesterday to make an appointment for today. He showed up with another employee, and it no longer than 15 minutes to get the furnace purring like a kitten again!!! He thoroughly explained what the problem was, and because it was such a quick repair, there was NO CHARGE for his services!!! He is what I define as an honorable man. My wife and I have his business card and will DEFINITELY call on him for any future needs!!!

Darrell was great. We recently finished our remodel and moved into our home. The furnace was less than two years old and just needed a tune up.

Him and his partner were on time and very professional. Darrell fixed a gas leak as part of the tune up and showed me some basics on my furnace.

He even showed me some tricks regarding my dryer vent and how to route it more efficiently. I'm so glad I chose to go with them and plan to call them yearly for our HVAC needs.

The gas valve on my furnace was bad and needed to be replaced. Beacon plumbing showed up promptly but the technician hardly looked at it and said he could not locate my model number so I had to replace the whole unit for $3500-$6000!!!! He took is $80 service call fee and left. Later that day I had someone else look at it. They located the model number in seconds, ordered the part and are going to install as soon ans it arrives for less than $200. I asked Kasen Burris of Beacon plumbing for a refund on the service call because they did not give me good or even accurate advice and he reused to refund me my money. $80 for nothing!! Do not use Beacon plumbing. They are just looking to make the most money off of you as a consumer as possible!!!!

Super friendly and knowledgable staff who went above and beyond for customer. Knowing that we have small kids in the house, Thomas took over an hour drive to our place during off hours so we could have hot water. He knew exactly what went wrong within minutes and jumped right in the job to resolve problem. My mother's rental furnace went out. It was cold and even snowed this morning. Several other companies I called 1st did not have any same day appointments. I called Plumbing & Heating Specialist at 10am, they did have an opening and we were booked between 1pm-3pm. Darrell from Plumbing & Heating Specialist called around 10:30 and said he is ahead of schedule and would be available at 11am if we wanted. We were so HAPPY, brrr...

I explained to Darrell that my mother was on a social security income and that we only wanted the furnace repaired and was not interested in purchasing a new furnace, he replied, our goal is to repair furnaces and we wouldn't ever recommend a new furnace unless it was absolutely needed. (I could hear the honesty in his voice and was relieved as my mother was so worried about the cost of the repair).

Darrell went out to repair the furnace, he replaced the sensor and cleaned out the reusable filter. He then called and told us NO CHARGE, have a happy thanksgiving.
I would have even rated this company high for their honesty, professionalism and same-day-service, but for Darrell to provide the service free to my mother was so unexpected and so appreciated.

I am so happy to know I found an honest heating/cooling company. Thank you Darrell and Plumbing & Heating Specialist !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I could give it a higher rating, I would without hesitations!
I called them on a Friday late afternoon for a temperature issue that was reported by my previous AirBnB renters the day before. I am booked back to back for the rest of this month, so I had to refund some of their fee for the inconvenience of having warm water in the shower and not hot enough. Thomas was able to make an appointment for the very next day and was able to give an estimate based on a quick assessment. he showed up within the window time, was a great communicator in explaining what his finding were. It turned out that yes, the water heater is due for replacement, but he was able to find the immediate solution to elevate the temperature of the water in the shower. He raised the temperature in the water tank, and found a anti-scald knob in the shower handle, removed it and voila'...hot water started to show up. He was not only working hard in trying to find the problem but didn't charge me a thing. I will definitely have Thomas change my water heater as soon I can. Thank you so much for your prompt response while having guests staying in my rental unit, especially for keeping the working area so clean! I highly recommend this company!

I called and made an appointment to get a quote on running a new gas line so we could change from an electric range to gas. They were quick at getting back to me. We already have a gas furnace and fireplace so the job took less than 2 hours. We paid over $700 for everything which was more than I was expecting but we wanted it done right and didn't want to take any chances with a gas line. They were on time, professional and very clean.

If I could give more stars I would. We have used Plumbing & Heating Specialist twice now for two major issues with our home. Both times they have gone above and beyond with their quality work and customer service. Sometimes it can be difficult to know who to trust with home repairs but we had so much peace of mind using these guys. Can't recommend them enough, they are knowledgable, honest, friendly, and provide excellent service at fair prices.
