Joe, a Davis resident in 2014 wrote: '...and especially take advantage of women or seniors. I would never recommed this company or use them again under any circumstances.' I am an elderly woman and I saw it firsthand. Vulgar, cruel bullying.
Yesterday, at approximately 1:19p.m. while everyone in our household was working, we had a knock on the door, plumbers saying they needed to remove our backyard fence and get to a sewer access. I spoke to them through our door camera and said, 'I'm working now. Can you please wait.'. Less than 3 minutes later, I opened my front door. No one there. I went through my kitchen to the backyard, thinking I'd tell them to give me 20 minutes to secure items in our backyard. They were already taking my 6 foot fence down with power tools!!! I ran back to the fence trying to tell them to stop and wait and one guy SCREAMED at me, saying the land is an easement, it is a city sewer access and I have NO RIGHT to tell him he cannot get into my yard! He said they can do whatever they need to do whenever they want.
They, a group of 4-6 men, proceeded to mimic my words and voice, laughing and mocking me. All of them joined in, laughing, parroting what I'd said in exaggerated high voices. Two hours later, I heard one call me a (feminine expletive). Thrice. He, standing, facing me, can clearly see me in my backyard. I don't know if the repetition of that insult was for added effect or to be CERTAIN I heard. The other near him replied in agreement.
I contacted the City of Davis Public Works and Engineering departments who told me that the easement is city property and the plumbers are supposed to arrange access with the homeowner before they need to gain access. From the City of Davis email on this matter: "" The contractor should make contact with the property owner to gain entry and describe the nature of the work being performed, restoring property to it's original condition, and any work performed on the connection to the sewer main would require the contractor to obtain permits.""
Not only did no one contact me, but 'restoring the property to its original condition'? There is now a GIANT hole in the back corner of this lot, with an ugly orange post and they've wedged a plywood board tightly under the fence to cover the hole.
The owner of the apartments behind my house who hired these plumbers has my email and phone number. No one contacted me to inform or advise us. I have friendly acquaintance with several of our neighbors who live in that apartment building. I cannot imagine why anyone would choose profane, crass bullies when there are other, civil and courteous plumbers in Davis.

Replaced valve cartridge assembly in our shower. Technician was great. Very courteous. However, the price was extremely high. I looked up the exact part number they installed and found the part cost less than $100. They don't provide itemized invoices. Most likely to cover up their extremely high markup. One hour job cost me nearly $600. That's a $500 an hour service rate or 400% plus mark-up on the part. Will not use them again.

We woke up this morning to a dripping ceiling. Fortunately we had already made an appointment with Plumbing Doctor to install a new washing machine, and the two technicians, Mason and Brandon Campbell, were happy to fix the serious leak in our pipes. They took care of the problem, and also installed the washer! We were delighted with their work and with their professional attitude. They were also personable and offered good suggestions.
If we have any other plumbing problems, I will certainly go to Plumbing Doctor and ask for Mason and Brandon.
I

I would give them higher rating, but they are so crooked it is a shame. I asked them to replace a toilet in my father's home in Fairfield. I asked for an ADA toilet which is higher than standard toilets. They charged me $1,006.12 for the toilet. Total rip off states a friend of mine who is a retired plumber. The toilet actually costed $312 on one website. The actual invoice shows a charge for the toilet at $1,006.12. It should have been broken down with the cost of the toilet and also the installation fee. We had a toilet installed at our home two weeks earlier in Stockton. I purchased the toilet from Lowes at just over $300 with tax and the installation was $350.00. Then they had they never tell send me a picture stating there is water under the house and the repair was $2k. Again, my plumber friend said that was just water leaking from the seal and it would dry up. Never use them.

We have used Plumbing Doctor for years. They are beyond helpful and professional. Recently we began a remodel project in our kitchen and bathrooms. We booked them on three separate occasions and they completed each stage of the project that we asked. They even made suggestions regarding our faucets and the plumbing underneath our sinks. We highly recommend Plumbing Doctor. We are members of their Lifetime program which offers us discounts on the work they perform. Check them out and you won't be sorry!

Fast response. Good communication. Top quality service and the Tech is a real pro. They are now our plumber of record.

Call plumbing doctor for rental property, Mason went 3 times charge 3 times within 2 weeks. He never check on main sewer pipe, just clean hairs with snail.
Same bath room within 10 days still clogged, he mentioned no guaranty for their work, don't use Mason of plumbing Doctor. Terrible skills.

Had a clogged main line and water everywhere in my house late on a Friday afternoon. Called these folks and Andrew arrived shortly after the call. Resolved the problem quickly and saved my weekend and my newly installed wood flooring. Highly recommend them.

We've shopped around and received crappy quotes and advice for our shower leak. Plumbing Doctor allowed for an honest diagnostic and easy fix. Andrew was the best. Honest, safe and saved us money! 100% recommend.

Been waiting for a toilet to arrive now for 2 months. Thank God I have another bathroom, but what if I didn't! I received no phone calls to tell me the status to when, where or how the toilet will get here. I have to do my own customer service and call them to see when it will get here. I don't recommend this company! Very un- customers friendly!
