One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with. They sold me a ""electronic water softener"", and said if I wasn't satisfied with it I could get my money back. After a few calls where I was told by staff to try it out for a month and then call back, I got the owner. He was the worst business person I have ever dealt with. After an extended and heated conversation about how they were not going to take it back and the staff would have never told me I could return it (he was basically calling me a liar), I asked him if he was ok with having unsatisfied customers. He said with customers like me, he was perfectly fine with having unsatisfied customers.

He did not seem to realize I had already spent money on other plumbing work from his company, and I would have continued to do business with his company. Now he has lost a customer. I will tell everyone I know not to do business with them. I will report the predatory business tactics to the Better Business Bureau, and will consider my legal options. It is hard to believe that companies like this stay in business.

Saw this Plumber MD truck at a neighbor's home and thought I would give them a try. I had a leaky toilet and was not able to do the repair myself. I knew it was a simple repair, but the quote I recieved from Plumbing MD was anything but simple. They first wanted to sell me a MEMBERSHIP, who buys memberships with a plumber??? and then he told me that I needed a complete toilet rebuild which would be $350-$400 or the best option would be to change my toilet which would start about $510 to over $1000. I ofcourse wrapped that meeting up quick and called around, I found a great plumber Barney from Affordable Plumbing (Vacaville) and he fixed my toilet for a fraction of the cost of Plumbing MD. I would not recommend this company.

BEWARE they will charge you for estimates.
I asked them to take a look at my problem expecting them to fix it.
I had a small problem with my tub spout as it was leaking by the wall and needed to be replaced. They came out and wanted $1800 to replace all my plumbing and the tile around the bathtub. He refused to fix my problem as he said the tile was a little soft by the spout.

Of course it was soft it had been leaking around it. I said no to $1800 and just went to the hardware store spent $9 on a new spout and some caulking. It took me less than 20 min to replace the tub spout and run some caulking around the new one. The soft spot by the spout dried out in a couple of days and is fine now.

The Big scam was that they sent me a bill for $80 for doing nothing except refusing to make the repair. The guy was only there just a few minutes and did nothing. I even called their shop to complain about a bill for no repair but they insisted I pay. I had to pay it as I did not want them to ruin my credit.

Every other trade I know of will give you an estimate for free. Their owner wrote and stated that they don't even give estimates at all, so you have no way of shopping for the best price or comparing.

I RECOMMEND YOU ALWAYS GET AT LEAST 3 ESTIMATES FOR ANY REPAIRS OR HOME IMPROVEMENTS.

Very unprofessional!! Although they were willing to come out to my house the same day, I would have much rather they come on a day I.was home. They were suppose to give me an estimate on how much it would cost to did a small leak where the sprinkled attached to the main water supply. The guy came out and told me it would be almost $700, so I told him I needed to talk to my husband first. He left my house and when my husband came home a few minutes later he told me there was water spraying everywhere making a big mess. The main water for the house was also now leaking! He didn't even bother to tell.me either thing! Since we both were working, we had them come back and fix it since it was making such a mess. He told my husband that he would come back at 5 so we could pay the bill. He called is at 6:30 to tell us that he would have to come by tomorrow because 5 is too late and they stop working at 4:30. The next day he my husband sign the invoice and then charged us a $79 customer care program for a year. Do not want this! He is also chain smoker and made my house smell horrible! When I called the.company to let them know I was unhappy and why, the owner accused me of lying and said that if.we.didn't join their customer care program he would have to charge us even more !!! He didn't even care that we are upset and unhappy! I.cannot recommend them to ANYONE and if you do use them, good luck!!

Very unprofessional, created more problems than fixing the initial one, and of course claimed it was not their fault. Would never use them again or recommend them. They were very prompt though in showing up.

Would highly recommend Plumbing MD in the Davis area; they have twice provided prompt, courteous, helpful service and have some of the best prices in town (we have a couple of rentals so have dealt with a number of plumbers over the years). Plumbing MD has been in Davis for years, so their plumbers are also familiar with the City of Davis permits and plumbing requirements, a bonus if you have a big job and need to be sure it complies with code. We will be using them again for an orangeberg sewer line replacement that is complicated by an overlying city tree.

Used this plumber once after having had a couple of plumbers take me for a ride. They came in fixed my problem (actually he looked down and said I needed a new dishwasher and didn't even charge me, said it wasn't a plumbing problem). The second time a different plumber for a different problem, same result. He found the problem, fixed it and then gave me suggestions how to save money next time. Imagine that a plumber trying to help you? I am so used to them coming in with dollar signs in there eyes and my cash in there pocket.! Would use these guys again, honesty goes such a long way with me.

I will recommend Plumbing Doctor! We are a struggling family with an old house, the orange tar paper pipes finally gave way. PMD came fast and snaked and fixed part one in March, now we are on to part two section. Only criticism to date is we scheduled a guy to come on a Saturday and so we cancelled a trip to the beach with 20 friends, but then the plumber did not show up or call untill Monday. Grrrrrr!

We own a restaurant and asked these guys to do a few jobs for us. They overcharge you just to look at it, and we ended up doing the work ourselves for a lot less money and hassle. Then their admin office will double bill you. The company has 2 names: Plumbing MD AND Plumbing Doctor with 2 offices (one in Davis and one in Dixon). They applied one of the payments we made to another job without even asking us first! They also can't seem to get our billing address right - it's often wrong probably because they enjoy charging you extra late fees. When I called to tell them that they should have called me to let me know, they said that they did, but I never received a call on my cell phone. Please consider using a more reputable company!

Man in the office was fantastic... knowledgeable, understanding and helpful. Plumber who showed up (yes, ON TIME) was competent. They decide price off a pre-set price list, depending on what is needed, which is a good idea, but the plumber who showed up read me a higher price than the man in the office, and when I showed concern, called the office, apparently to negotiate a better deal. The man in the office did not seem to see the need for negotiation, and helped the plumber see that he had quoted from the wrong page, or something. I was uncomfortable with the feeling that the plumber wanted to be the good-guy, as you find from a car salesperson. I don't know how to let the office person know about this, because from him I got the sense that customer service and having a fair pricing structure were very important, but from the bid the other guy gave me to do a second job, I felt the prices were inflated. I called a general contractor I'd heard about, and he did the second job at less than half the cost the first plumber bid.
