Plumbing & Cooling Nerds is the third evolution of the plumbing and air conditioning company that was established by John Verhoff following his move to Southwest Florida in 2007. At first, he specialized in new construction projects. However, after navigating the 2008-2009 recession, he understood that contractor work restricted his business autonomy. In 2012, Verhoff redirected his efforts towards home services, first teaming up with a friend on a company that operated in Florida and two additional states. In 2016, he acquired his friend's share of the Florida segment of the business, he needed a new name and identity. That’s when Plumbing & Cooling Nerds came to life. Plumbing & Cooling Nerds is dedicated to delivering “smarter home solutions” that are “delivered with nerd-like enthusiasm”.

Hello, I’m John Verhoff, the founder and ""Head Nerd"" at Plumbing & Cooling Nerds. Since high school, I have been dedicated to home services, and I strive to deliver the best service possible to my clients. When I started Plumbing Nerds in 2007, I recognized the demand for a more customer-focused plumbing service. We're driven by our mission to ""change the way the world views skilled trades"". This translates to offering advanced and contemporary solutions for routine plumbing issues.
