Plumbing & Cooling Nerds is the culmination of years in the plumbing and air conditioning field that was established by John Verhoff following his move to Southwest Florida in 2007. Initially, he focused on new construction. But after making it through the 2008-2009 recession, he began to realize that working for contractors didn't provide as much control over his business flow as he wanted. In 2012, he pivoted to focus exclusively on home service, initially collaborating with a friend on a business with branches in Florida and two other states. After purchasing his friend's stake in the Florida division in 2016, he sought a fresh name and brand identity. This led to the creation of Plumbing & Cooling Nerds. Plumbing & Cooling Nerds prides itself on offering “smarter home solutions” that are “delivered with nerd-like enthusiasm”.

Hello, I’m John Verhoff, the founder and ""Head Nerd"" at Plumbing & Cooling Nerds. My passion for home services began in high school, and I am devoted to offering top-tier service to my customers. In 2007, I launched Plumbing Nerds, I saw a need for a more customer-centric approach to plumbing. We aim to ""redefine how skilled trades are perceived"".
