The journey of Plumbing & Cooling Nerds marks the third chapter of the plumbing and HVAC company started by John Verhoff upon his move to Southwest Florida in 2007. His early work involved new construction projects. However, after navigating the 2008-2009 recession, he recognized that working for contractors limited his control over business operations. In 2012, Verhoff pivoted to home services, partnering with a friend on a company that had branches in Florida and two additional states. After buying out his friend’s stake in the Florida segment of the business in 2016, he needed a fresh name and identity. That’s when Plumbing & Cooling Nerds came to life. We are dedicated to delivering “clever home solutions” with a zeal for customer satisfaction.
