The journey of Plumbing & Cooling Nerds marks the third chapter of the plumbing and HVAC company started by John Verhoff upon his move to Southwest Florida in 2007. He began his career working on new construction jobs. But after enduring the 2008-2009 recession, he understood that contractor work didn’t give him the business control he desired. In 2012, Verhoff redirected his efforts to home services, first collaborating with a friend on a company with locations in Florida and two other states. Upon purchasing his friend’s portion of the Florida business in 2016, he looked for a new name and brand identity. This led to the birth of Plumbing & Cooling Nerds. We are dedicated to delivering “clever home solutions” with a zeal for customer satisfaction.
