I called Charles on a Saturday afternoon with a water heater issue. He arrived in an hour, analyzed the problem, and fixed it. I'd had another plumber look at the problem in the morning. He re-lit the pilot light and said I was good to go. After he left, I discovered that the problem hadn't been resolved. Charles took his time, fully assessed the ""big picture,"" and fixed it. When I asked him to also look at a drain that was draining slowly, he fixed that, too. Charles is professional, meticulous, courteous, and very knowledgable. Charles Garvin is a top notch plumber and a really good guy. It took years of hiring plumbers and being dissatisfied before finally finding Charles. My search is over, and I couldn't be happier to have found such an honest, reliable, reasonable and conscientious plumber. He shows up when he says he will, is totally honest (how refreshing!), doesn't overcharge, does great work and stands by it. He did a tremendous amount of work (replacing piping, installing toilets and fixtures, etc.) on an old house I refurbished and rented out, even redoing some bad work done by bad plumbers I hired before finding Charles. When the need arises I will use him for my other rentals and my own house as well.

Charles is excellent -- reasonable & reliable. I've been having him do work on my own home plus two others that I rent out, for the past few years. He always gets it right the first time, and doesn't overcharge or make the job bigger than it needs to be. When feasible, he'll give me options -- for example, either doing a minor repair that will probably work for a year or two, or doing a larger repair or replacement, if I think it's worth the investment, that might be good for ten or more years.

I can trust Charles to ""tell it like it is"", and he's always done excellent work, so I never hesitate to call him for any plumbing problem. That's especially true for my rentals -- if I'm out of town, and my renters have a problem, even though I can't go look at the problem myself, I know I can rely on him to fix it right, for a fair price.

By the way, he's also licensed & bonded, and has an ""A"" rating from the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
