Our members of Local 149 are proud of their union for several reasons.

Long ahead of the sustainability movement, Local 149 was teaching effective practices. Whether through fixtures that conserve water, air conditioning solutions that save energy, or affordable hydronic heating, our local has refused the “cookie cutter” efficiency plans. The skilled members are educated to grasp the best piping systems that best fit different needs and circumstances. Upon completion of our comprehensive five-year apprenticeship, they gain the real-world skills and classroom knowledge needed to effectively serve our industry.
I have served as Business Manager and Financial Secretary/Treasurer for over a decade.
