I had contacted Plumber's Service and explained that our outside sump-pump discharge drain pipe was blocked/collapsed and that I wanted an estimate on repairing it. I'm pretty sure I even asked if they replaced these drain pipes and was told yes but they'd have to charge me to have someone come out and look. Okay, fine. I get that. The guy they sent out was very nice and very informative. He tried snaking the drain and couldn't get through, he took pictures of the property and talked about how they'd be able to get the excavating equipment into the backyard even and the type of drain pipe they'd use to replace it. He stated he would take all the information back to his office and they would contact me with an estimate. Well, I didn't hear back, so I emailed him. The next day, a lady contacted me from their office and stated, ""We don't do that."" What?? You don't replace sump-pump discharge drain pipes? No...she said no. So first, if you didn't do this to begin with, why after I explained on the phone initially, would you agree to send someone out to take a look and to get information for an estimate? When I asked her if she knew of a company thing did do this sort of thing, her response was, ""I'm not sure. Maybe a landscaping company?"" Really?
So basically, they charged me $125 for absolutely nothing because ""you don't do that kind of thing."" So if anyone is looking at wanting to have this done at their own home? Do not call this company because apparently, they don't do this sort of thing.
Matthew A.These folks are amazing. We had a very bad situation turned around - simply because Plumbers Service helped me out. During the pandemic, we had sewer water backing up into our basement shower. I contacted Plumbers Service around noon and I was extremely lucky to have an expert out to my house around 3. They guy that came out was extremely professional and exceptionally courteous. He not only was able to fix my clogging issue with state-of-the-art equipment, he recommend ways that I could upgrade my sewer line in the future (without being pushy) to help eliminate the issues I was routinely having. The tech knew that we were really worried about the whole situation and proactively eased our anxiety while he was there. He actually took time to explain everything he was doing and eventually fixed all of our issues. Thank you Mike and thank you Plumbers Service! I would most definitely recommend themes anyone!
Daniel H.I was referred to Plumbers Service for a Drain issue. I did not have a cleanout so I needed to have one installed outside the house. I called and told them exactly what I needed. I just needed to have a cleanout installed where the house drain (4inch pipe) connected to the sewer line (6inch pipe). They told me I first needed to locate the pipe and this would be $800 dollars. Long story short. They came out located where the 2 meet about 10ft and marked it. They then decided to snake it to the blockage with their useless 1.5 inch cutter and charge me an additional $215 for a service I did not ask for or need ( would be cleaned out when cleanout was installed). Plus added another $50 from original quote. Don't need to fool me twice. I got another honest and fair company to install the cleanout and remove blockage.
There should be 10 stars to choose for this review! I had Plumbers Services (PS) come out to my moms house to fix a clog in one of her bathrooms. PS were highly recommended and I was not disappointed! I first spoke to Kris, who was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful! Steve Tubb was the drain specialist that spent time trying to unplug my moms toilet drain. Steve was very friendly, knowledgeable and incredibly efficient in getting the work done and solving the problem! He also left the the bathroom incredibly clean, did not have to go in and clean like you have to do with so many other companies. I thought the price was very fair and would definitely use PS again! Thank you Jeff (owner) for running a great and dependable company! We need more companies like yours.
They apparently did a good job of snaking the drain, as things are running smoother. They also removed a plastic fitting that no one else was willing to remove, which improved the access for the snaking. On the downside, they are very (!) expensive, and left a bit of a mess. And even though I had already had a camera inspection the previous year, and told them I already knew what was down there, they were a bit pushy about trying to get me to do a camera inspection.
Most plumbers these days seem to have given up snaking/drain clearing; soon these guys will be the only guys in town. At least, hopefully, they are competent, so far so good.
I called this company because my basement drain was backing up black sledge. The tech snaked my sewer line but said he'd need to camera the line to know what was causing problem. Told me my sewer line was broken and there was a rope in line that had to be removed. Cost to remove rope and put a liner in would be $11,000 and it would be more if I decided to wait. I asked if there were any other options and they said no. They told me to call my city to ask if the rope was attached to something. Thankfully the city suggested I get a second opinion. I then called another company who gave me another less costly option that was able to fix the problem.
Chad F.Called them because we were pretty sure there was a collapsed pipe after AJ Danboise came out and inspected. Tim Patrick showed up and could've just started snaking and running cameras and charging me $500 but he took the time to walk up and down the street to find main sewer and then dug a little hole in the back yard to expose the top of a very full septic tank!!! Love that he took his time to check all options. $125 later and no collapsed pipe, just had to empty septic tank. Weird that we didn't know we had one but that's a long story. Thanks Tim, I would recommend him 100% of the time!!
In selling my Birmingham home last August, the buyers paid an independent contractor to scope the sewer line. Scope revealed a problem in the sewer line. I offered to fix the problem prior to closing. I called Plumbers Service of Milford, MI. later in August. Polite and fast to respond but I would not recommend Plumbers Service. They are unreliable and overpriced. Two separate service visits to my home were made. Charged $700 first visit and $945 second visit. Two separate scopes. No repairs were made. Attempted to high pressure, despite my recommendation to replace pipe. Now i am $1645 out of pocket. Plumbers Service said sorry can't repair, the lines need to be replaced. They offered to fix problem for an additional $16,000. I belatedly shopped their service reputation and pricing. Plumbers Service was the most expensive in area and offers no warranty. Called a different sewer repair company, got Orangeburg piping replaced, got a written 25 warranty and saved thousands of dollars by NOT using Plumbers Service of Milford, Mi.
Heather D.I had a very unique (per the technician) situation in that my kitchen plumbing/garbage disposal backed up into the drain/overflow of my bathtub. This was only two weeks after moving into my first house on my own. I received the company's number from another plumbing company (Direct Plumbing) as when I called that company, they told me I would need a snake and Plumbers Service was who they would recommend.
The person that arranged the technician and the person who called to let me know the technician was on the way were both very helpful and friendly. The technician Steve was awesome and very knowledgeable. Their pricing was more than fair and a lot less than I thought it would be. I would absolutely use them again!!
This is by far the worst company and group of individuals I've ever seen in my entire life!!! The staff starting with the women who answer the phones are incompetent, and do not know what they are doing. My bathroom as we speak is filled with sewage water due to this great company! They say they are 24 hours, but have no staff to accommodate in an emergency. You couldn't pay me to use them again!!!! I am currently at day 3 of the clogged pipe episode. I do not see how a company can leave a job unfinished twice. I could not sleep at night knowing I left a family with raw sewage in there tub and no way to shower or use the toilet for 4 days!
