The Joys of owning your own home never end. It's the gift that keeps on giving. On this particular Friday the house decided to bestow upon me the gift of a leaking gate valve.

The cherry on top was, literally, the Minnie Mouse tape the previous owner had put on there. That sweet lady felt that was the correct fix. Sigh. My new fridge was being delivered and the delivery crew took one look at that corroded waste gate valve and said ""we aren't touching that.""

Well I can't say I blame them. That thing was so corroded it doesn't take a genius to realize that entire box needs to be replaced. Thankfully the damage was limited to just the visible areas. The adjacent studs and surrounding drywall were dry. Still. I needed this fixed ASAP.

The man works like a thoroughbred race horse. In less than an hour he removed the damaged drywall, installed a brand new valve with outlet box, and also hooked me up with a braided stainless steel line. My new fridge now has a brand new water line for the ice maker! WOOT!

Did I mention I used my credit card? That's always nice. Most plumbers are old school paper check kind of guys but A Plumber Near Me got the memo that it's 2019. Some of us like to swipe and earn reward points. I even got a snazzy e-mailed receipt to boot.

I'm sure in a year or two my house will give me a new gift, and when it does, I know who to call.

This guy Shawn is a crook..!!! He stole money from me..!! His work is novice at best to begin with .. 7 months later I have not recieve any of money back that he promised to send.
