Never in my life have I been talked to by a vendor as I was this morning by Plumber by Trade.

Like all other reviewers, I was assigned this company by Fidelity National. Bad leak in plumbing and the ticket was assigned by warranty company as a rush. This morning, after not hearing from PbT last night, I called Fidelity and they assigned a different company.

PbT just called me and said they could be at my home this morning. When I said""OK let me call Fidelity so they can assign the ticket back to you"" the guy blew up at me - told me that I needed to give them some time and when I tried to calm him down, he said ""that's ok - keep your new company"" and hung up.

Wish Fidelity National would pay a bit more attention to whom they do business with.

In November 2018, my home warranty company (FIDELITY NATIONAL HOME WARRANTY) dispatched this company to replace my water heater. They arrived the next day without any identifying company name on his shirt and no business card in the AM to inspect and get the information on the type and size heater I'd need, telling me that they needed to contact the warranty company for authorization. I'm now on my 2nd day without any hot water. The company calls me later that afternoon telling they have the authorization and that it will cost me an additional $260.00 to bring the system up to current code, which I authorized. The 3rd day without any hot water, the plumber shows up without a courtesy call 1st and 3 to 4 hours later I haved a brand new water heater complete with all the upgrades to bring it up to code. The plumber tells me I owe $260.00 and that it has to be by check as they don't accept credit cards. I give him a check and ask for my receipt and I'm told one would be mailed in a couple of days. I then ask this guy for a business card and I'm told they don't carry any. I then asked as to when to expect the building inspector and I was told within the next 30 days, to just be patient. Fast forward to mid January 2019, I still haven't received my receipt and it has not been inspected yet. I called PLUMBERS BY TRADE this AM and talked to Joe about the receipt and the lack of inspection, and he proceeded to give me excuses as to why I hadn't received either yet. When I told him that I'd had an inspector out two days prior to inspect my new new solar array, and I asked him when I could expect to have my water heater inspected, he asked for the building permit and I told him that the plumbing company never left one. Well as soon as I told Joe about the inspector, he got very testy with me, demanding to know why I had called in a building inspector. Joe then accused me of getting belligerant with him when I asked when I might see the receipt and the permit and I was told that I might receive it within the next two months. I should have been suspicious when the 1st guy showed up to do the inspection, because he arrived in an unmarked car without any company logo and the same with the plumber, there was no company logo on his truck either. I gave PLUMBERS BY TRADE only 1 star because that was the lowest rating I could give. Will I ever use them again or recommend them, NO i won't.

The worst service I have experienced while Managing Property. They were chosen on an Emergency call though the Home Warranty that my Client keeps on the property. The call went in on a Sunday. The water source to the duplex was off. There was a problem with the shower valves in one of the two units. It could not be shut off. The main shut-off to the building was the only way to turn it off. They go out Monday and botched the paper work. Plumber By Trade says they don't have the shower valves on the work order. HUH???? This was the reason they are there. So they leave, do not address the problem. They say they must contact the Warranty company to get authorization. Plumber by trade then needs to send a report into the Warranty company to get authorization. They could also simply call them. REMEMBER: There is NO WATER to the entire building as it is shut off. All it would have took is a simple phone call and it could have been addressed that day. I guess that was to easy. Tuesday comes and goes. Wednesday Comes and goes. Plumber By Trade still does not contact the Warranty company to address the situation. 4 days without water for the duplex. I finally have to contact a supervisor at the warranty company and get this situation rectified as Plumber By Trade was not returning my many phone calls. The Warranty Company also let this go on for to long as well. That is another story. Plumber By trade didn't only drop the ball. They popped it. The Warranty company sent another Plumber out. Solved immediately by the other Plumber. DO NOT USE PLUMBER BY TRADE!!!

i wish i could give them 0 stars or negative stars. worst service. this company was again referred by my home warranty but did nothing. the technician (can't even call him that because he has no technical skills) wouldn't listen to the situation nor did he try to assess the situation for a diagnostic. i think the bottom line is that they are just lazy and stupid and should not be in business. Unacceptable.

Terrible customer service. Poor communication. Multiple appointments for a simple bathroom faucet. Ridiculous- would never work with again.

Like most other customers this plumber was sent out by Home Warranty. Also like most others, the plumber didn't arrive during the three hour time window nor did they call as a courtesy and the customer service received was lacking to say the least. So sad to see that these types of things are hard to find.

Well, if you have read the reviews you can see this is not a company that you should even consider. I was assigned to use them from Fidelity Home Warranty (whom told me that the owner is not concerned about the reviews or quality of the service they send out when I called to cancel the service, so DONT buy Fidelity Home Warranty either) Anyway, I missed the phone call this morning and immediately began trying to return the call to schedule. I called many times and it would only ring twice and then give me a busy signal. After probably 7 or8 attempts I finally had someone answer and I explained to her what had been happening when I tried to call and she said yea she had been trying to answer and no one was there but she didn't really seem concerned that her business phone was not working properly. She then asked me for my address and asked if I could hold. I waited nearly 6 minutes on hold and while waiting began reading the reviews. Needless to say I am not a stupid person, so I hung up and called Fidelity Home Warranty and cancelled the service with this people. Since nearly all the 1 star reviews are also from Fidelity Home Warranty people, I want no part of the frustration that I know will come from using them. Shame on Fidelity National Home Warranty for still using this company. They show how little they care about their customers.

I, too, was referred to this company by my home warranty. They came in to fix a minor issue and made it much much worse. Now I cannot get in touch with anyone at the company to assist in resolving the issue. At this point, I have sludge and raw sewage coming out of my clean-out into my backyard and I cannot get them to call me back. I cannot use any water in my house and they lack any sense of urgency.

I wish I had read these reviews prior to accepting the contract for their work through Fidelity.

This company was referred by my home Warranty. So they were scheduled to come out at 4pm no one never showed, so the next day plumber came and installed the water heater. Next day I smelled gas called and scheduled another appointment. Guys showed up never rang the door bell just knocked on the door. They corrected the leak of gas but failed to relight the pilot and didn't say anything figured something was wrong while I was washing dishes and the water never got hot. Secretary states that she would mail permits to use to have schedule the inspections.
