It seems kind of odd, writing a review for a plumber that I've never met, nor has ever visited my home. But I'm doing it anyway, because this guy is uncommonly awesome!

Today I had a new washing machine delivered, and was bummed to have the installer tell me that they couldn't complete the work. They said the shut off valves were too corroded and that I'd need to have a plumber replace the valves first.

I called around to a couple of local plumbers, and was quoted up to $400 for the repair, since the valves are recessed in the wall and some drywall work would be required.

Since I'm new to the area, I decided to check out Yelp! Then I called Plumber Bob because he had so many great reviews.

He asked me what type of valves were there, and after a few other questions, determined that it was likely that the corrosion was only on the hose, not the valves.

He said I could just get a wire brush, clean off the corrosion, get some channel locks, and carefully disconnect the line. And if it was still too tight to remove, he offered a couple of other ideas.

Ten minutes later, I had the hoses off! Shortly thereafter, I completed the install and the machine is washing it's first load as I type.

Plumber Bob may not have earned any income today from solving my problem, but he certainly earned my respect, my referrals, and my business the next time I have a plumbing need.

Plumber Bob was fast, honest and the best price I could find. Bob charged half of what some other larger companies quoted and showed up within hours to fix my broken main. He does what he can to save his customer money and I'll definitely be calling him from now on.

Needed a new water heater and called Bob. On the phone, he was very helpful and honest. He couldn't fix it that night so he told me if I had any problems with leakage, to call him even if I don't use him! After calling another plumber, I decided to go with Bob. The price he quoted me was very good, and I like the way he itemized each parts that I need instead of just giving me one big price (which another plumber did and then had the gall to tell me, If you find a better deal, we'll match it-which basically means, ""I'll try to ripe you off but only if I get caught!"")

Bob was very professional and he takes pride in his work. I watched some of it and the way he did things was like an artist performing.

In addition, he looked at my shower faucet and recommended me to contact Moen for replacement parts instead of trying to sell me new faucet.

I highly recommend Bob for all plumbing. He will be coming back to my house for those Moen parts!

I highly recommend Bob as a plumber. I am a mechanical engineer and like to do many home repairs myself. But there are some jobs that I know I'm just not qualified for or don't have the right tools. I had a leaking 2"" drain pipe from my kitchen sink. The leak was just a few inches above where the pipe goes into the concrete pad that the house sits on. I had three different plumbing companies look at it and they all said I needed to chisel out the concrete around the drain pipe to make a good repair. This was not a job that I wanted to do. Bob's quote was 1/3 of what the other two companies wanted. This combined with his many five star ratings on Yelp convinced me to give him a try. He did the job and it turned out exactly as he said it would. He told me that after 30 years in the business he had done 1,000's like this and I believe him. His prices are very fair and he does good work.

There are lots of plumbers out here, and most are probably good, but not great. Reliable, knowledgeable and well, just average. This is not the case with Plumber Bob. He is exceptional... a five star rating is for ""as good as it gets"", and that is the case with Bob - as in Plumber Bob (see photo for the real deal.)

Our situation started with a trickle of water coming up from the bathroom floor. From what I now know, it is hard to detect the origin of these leaks - especially when they are slow. And, most of the plumbers I called to address the problem did not want to have much to do with leak detection or diagnosis. Bob was the only plumber that took the time to ACCURATELY find the problem. These are called slab leaks, and they occur when a pipe breaks in or below the foundation of the house - in our case, a house built in '57. The pipes originally installed in the ground, running up though the foundation, were beginning to fail.

Although Bob suggested less expensive options - like fixing only the line that was leaking, we opted for a re-pipe of the entire house. Why? When you have water leaking from your slab, it is only a matter of time before you have to replace your pipes, either one at a time, or all at once. It is like going to the dentist, pay now, or pay a lot later. So, the next step was to look at a few options for the re-pipe work.

We asked for a few quotes from other referred plumbers, and to make a long story short, if you are considering this option, by all means do it, but in the end, you will do yourself a favor by having Bob do the work. You see - re-piping requires thought - you have to map out the course for the pipes - and Bob is a genius in that department. The more experience you bring to the table, the cleaner the re-pipe. So, you ask, what is involved?

A re-pipe redirects your plumbing form the ground - these pipes are abandoned - to the attic, then, through the walls to the sinks etc., and anything else that the pipes feed. We have an older house with odd locations for showers, sinks, tubs, so you have to be creative in mapping the pipe, or you will end up with holes all over your house - and many may not be necessary. This is the art of the re-pipe, and Bob's work in our house was very creative - really pure genius. We have a lot fewer drywall patches to make, but even fewer stucco repairs - on the outside of the house - which are much more expensive to repair. All these small details save you money - on what was already a very competitive bid.

I could go on and on... it's all good, but you get the point. Oh, and by the way, Bob is a really nice person, which goes a long way when you invite someone into your house. By the end of our re-pipe, Bob was like a member of our family.

Bob was very nice and did honest work. Despite his busy schedule he managed to squeeze us in. Learned a lot from his 25+ experience of explaining how the pipes in my home worked. He basically re-routed a slab pipe leak and did a very clean job of doing it. I would definitely recommend his work to anyone.

Yelp came through for us again. When we had a broken overflow pipe, we just decided to change the tub and give our bathroom a new look. We found Bob on Yelp and he is (as the other reviewers had noted) a quality, affordable and honest plumber.

We ran into a problem with our tub installation. What remodel project doesnt have these? Bob found a broken kitchen drain line beneath where the tub was going to be. He spent an extra half day repairing the drain line. He even brought in extra help but in the end, it only cost a little extra money above his original quote. He worked efficiently but really put a lot of effort in making sure our tub was placed carefully. We're very happy we found him on Yelp.

I never thought that I would meet a plumber who's honest, does quality job and is reasonable (speaking from experience). Bob changed my mind. He replaced my cracked water heater at a quarter of a price quote I got from another company and did it in under an hour! Unheard of!

Bob is great! We had a minor plumbing problem but since I saw water and wasn't sure where it was coming from, it wasn't minor to us! Bob came out right away after I called, got a temporary fix in place to hold us over and came out first thing the next morning and did the repairs quickly and professionally. He's our go-to plumber now for sure and we will recommend him to anyone who needs his services!
