Gary - you are the best!! personal service with a smile, always there for me and my family. You can always be counted on to help us with our plumbing needs. You've been a lifesaver with clogged garbage disposal (such quick response to service request) and have done a terrific job with helping us replace our toilets (worked around my scheduling needs to get this done in a very timely manner). THANK YOU SO MUCH! You can be sure we will call on you again.

We had a clogged drain that made the washing machine, the pool backwash, and a toilet drain (all on the same line) overflow. I tried fixing it myself by renting a snake from Home Depot, but couldn't. Plumbco was called because of very good online reviews. I explained to Gary what the problem was, and the three places where the water had overflowed. He said it would cost $196.00 to open the line. That sounded like a lot, but we needed it done. Gary and his partner used a big snake to open the main drain, but the 10-foot stretch from the dishwasher to the main drain remained closed. He said opening the main line usually fixed the problem, but he would need to get a different snake from his truck to finish the job. He said he would do it for an additional $98.00. I objected because we had agreed on a price to open the line, and the dishwasher drain was part of the problem I had showed him in the beginning. I said if his initial quote had been almost $300.00, I would have looked for another plumber. Gary argued that if I had to rent two different snakes, I would have had to pay more. While this is true, he is the professional and quoted a price that I agreed to. He already had the equipment and just had to walk 30 feet to his truck to get it. Even with using the second snake they were there for just 20 minutes. I would think being paid at the rate of $588.00 an hour would be enough for anyone, let alone $882.00! Incidentally, I paid $196.00, as agreed.
Update- Gary B. messaged me shortly after I posted my Yelp review. He said, "It is so sad that people like you have to make bad reviews because you could not do it yourself and don't want to pay a professional." Actually, I did want to pay a professional, and good money at that! My review is a factual and honest account of my experience, which is what Yelp is for. Since Gary could not challenge what I wrote, he attacked me instead. Now, that's sad.
2nd update- Now Gary B. tells me he is notifying my employer about my review. Not sure what he thinks that will accomplish, but I don't care for the attacks and threats. Beware, neighbors!

Recently had a bad experience with Nick's Plumbing. So I called Plumbco and they sent out Zack and Gary. They came on time and called about 15 minutes before they got to my place. They even had shoe covers, a plus in my book. They fixed my leaking tub in less than an hour and even gave me helpful tips on where I could buy some fixtures. They had a snake camera and showed me the problem before and after. will recommend them to anyone.

I had a garbage disposal that stopped working and was clogging up the sink and the dishwasher. Not an emergency, but an annoyance. I called one of the other plumbing companies that got a good review here and they wanted more money than the disposal and the installation and all the plumbing work I have had done in my place. So I asked them to leave.
Called Gary over at Plumbco and he and Andy came out within the hour. They checked it out, gave me a very reasonable quote, went right to work, got it working again (saved me the cost of a replacement), checked it a few times to make sure it was working, and then checked the dishwasher to make sure there were no visible problems. Gary then told me what to do if there was still a problem with the dishwasher that he might have missed. He also told me that I had made a nice purchase on the original disposal and that it was a good one that should last for many years.
Overall, I am very, very pleased with Plumbco , Gary, and Andy. They seem like really nice guys, very professional, made sure that they kept my place clean, told me the price and then did the work for that price, and that price was quite reasonable. I would highly recommend Plumbco and will call them again if I need any plumbing work done. I know that one of my sisters needs some work done, so I got a business card just for her. Thanks Gary and Andy. I appreciate the quality service, professionalism, and fair price.

We had a drain clog from slime buildup coming from the drainage line in the air conditioning unit into the sink drain. This was the second time, so I not only wanted the clog removed but better access so I could snake the drain myself in the future. The previous plumber was less than honest about installing a cleanout - instead he drilled a hole in the pipe and then glued a piece of pipe in the hole he drilled! We needed a new plumber and checked a lot of reviews.
Plumbco came out quickly and was incredibly professional. They had been working all day under a house and apologized repeatedly for being sweaty even though I don't think they were that dirty. Plumbco does not charge for estimates and they tell you directly what the price will be. I believe their pricing is fair for quick response quality work.

The tank on my toilet was leaking sporadically. It wasn't an emergency though it needed to be fixed before it became one. I turned to Yelp to look for a plumber in my area and decided on Plumbco based on the other reviews. As a single woman who is only so-so handy, I rely on you people with stuff like this, and you didn't let me down!
So I'd like to throw my 2 cents in, that Gary was responsive, on time, fair, and fixed the problem. It turns out that the toilet wasn't installed properly when I had it replaced. No surprise there considering I slipped the local handyman a few bucks to install it, instead of a plumber. He gave me the estimate before he worked on it and I agreed on the $163 amount. He tightened up some other stuff while he was in there.
He could have told me I needed to have the gasket changed. He showed it to me, and said this may be the problem, but that replacing the bolts would more than likely fix it. He replaced them, and made sure it didn't leak after that. Took him just under an hour to fix it. I would call Gary again, and I'd recommend him to anyone.

Good work but prices are too high....
I had an emergency plumbing issue come up on a Saturday at the same time my wife and I were trying to leave for an overnight stay in Galveston. We called Plumbco because we got a good reference from someone in her mom's club and saw the good reviews here on Yelp. The pressure valve for our sprinkler system broke and needed to be replaced due to a carelessly dropped piece of siding by a cornice guy working on our home. We were able to shut the water off at the curb before leaving but needed it back on the same day because we had a friend watching our house for the night, and we couldn't have her go without water for the weekend.
Max was able to respond to our call in a couple hours and met our friend at the house. The work was done quickly and looks to be done correctly, so no issue there. However, the job cost us $815 to replace a $75 part and a short piece of pvc pipe "to bring it up to code" that took no more than an hour of labor. And that probably includes the time it took to drive and get the part. If they marked up the part 200% and charged me 2 hours of labor, I would've grumbled but been fine given it was the weekend. But over $800? Seems like way too much to me.
So unfortunately , they caught me in a position where I didn't have the time to get any other estimates, and as a result, I paid a hefty premium for it.

My hot water went out on Friday night, so I was scrambling to find a plumber to take a look at the hot water heater on Saturday morning. After calling several plumbing companies with no luck, I reached a plumbing company (which I wrote a separate review about) that agreed to send someone out that afternoon.
The technician arrived around 4pm, and after spending - max - 5 minutes "diagnosing" my hot water heater, he told me that the problem could be a variety of issues, maybe a broken gas valve or potentially a faulty burner assembly. He then went into detail about how, because the labor to fix a burner assembly would be "almost as expensive installing a new water heater," I should just go ahead and get a new one installed. WHAT?? That's what you call a diagnosis of the problem? He then went on to quote me a fee - for labor, pulling a city permit, and working in the attic - for over $1,000 - and that DID NOT include the cost of the water heater itself (which was covered under warranty).
I was left with the feeling that I might be getting conned, so I called Plumbco to get a second estimate. If I was going to pay that much to get a new water heater installed, I wanted to be sure that I wasn't getting swindled. Gary quoted me a price comparable to what the technician from the first company quoted - BUT, his price INCLUDED a new water heater. If I supplied the water heater myself and only wanted to pay for labor to install? Gary told me it would only be about HALF the price the other company quoted me.
Gary then started asking me what my issue was. After I explained what was happening, he told me that, unless my tank was leaking, I didn't need to replace it with a whole new one. He had a good idea of what the problem was, and agreed to come by Monday to fix the water heater. He called on Monday morning to confirm he had the replacement parts, showed up EARLIER than originally promised, and fixed the problem in under 45 minutes. The best part is, it cost me only about 1/3 what the other company quoted me.
Gary and one of his other technicians were polite, friendly and professional. They wore booties in the house, and Gary even made sure to clean up all the dust and debris that had floated down from the attic. To top it all off, Gary even stayed around an extra 10-15 minutes, and then went back up into the attic to double check that the water heater was, in fact, working properly. Can't ask for better service than that!

Gary did a great job on my plumbing needs, was quick, efficient, cordial and friendly. He was also very-very honest and would point out and explain areas where we could save money by doing the work ourselves if it was simple enough.
Two thumbs up and 5 stars for Plumbco. I would recommend them to anyone.

Very trustworthy and reliable. Gary and his crew are very knowledgeable and the prices are reasonable. It's nice to have a plumber I can trust!
