Earlier yesterday morning I called another plumbing service to look at our hot water heater. It took them 3 hours to call me back, then another 3 to tell me they were still researching the problem. With 4 kids at home I can't go long without hot water. So, realizing they were not going to come that afternoon, I called Plumb Works. These guys came to my house within 1 1/2 hours of calling and had our water heater fixed within 30 minutes. Prompt and very friendly service.

I got price gouged hard by Plumb Works. Two parallel copper water lines burst after the recent freeze/thaw action inside a unit of our house that was unoccupied. The plumber found and repaired the pipes pretty quickly, so from the time he came to the time he left was about three hours. This happened during normal business hours, starting around 10am. He wanted $630! After talking with him and his manager several times, I got a slightly reduced """"value"""" rate of $550. We are talking about $180/hr for plumbing work. He used maybe two feet of his own copper pipe and some solder to fix it, so cost of materials was basically zero ($5 absolute max). Thankfully, at least the quality of work was solid. I looked pretty close at the soldering job and was happy about it. This is the only thing saving them from getting one star.

Brian from Plumb Works did an amazing job on our bathroom repairs! He was top notch, really knew what he was doing and dedicated to doing it right. We will use Plumb Works again if we ever need to, and would recommend it to anyone.

I had a mysterious leak in my condo and Plubworks was amazing! Milton came immediately and was simply spectacular. He searched out the cause and made an immediate fix. They sent me his bio prior to him showing up and explained all costs up front. I would absolutely recommend them. They were overly professional, courteous and helpful.

The people at plumb works communicated well and where very responsive. While I did have some concerns the company was accommodating and attentive to my issues. The work done on the house was professional and quick.

Buyer's Remorse... it's a sucky feeling but I have had nothing but Buyer's Remorse since having a service appointment from Plumb Works at my home a few days ago... I am feeling personally cheated and much more than slightly """"taken"""" ... I randomly chose Plumb Works for this minor job (replacing the 'flapper' and inner guts of a toilet in my home) ... my mistake was not checking Yelp first... Or Kudzu (at least) where Plumb Works is much more reviled. Plumb Works did a """"good job."""" And they were (more or less) on time... """"BUT..."""" The contact page on their website was throwing out error codes so I had to phone them for an appointment. They tell you over the phone it is a $69 service call charge, and then you will receive a quote --- the fact that they won't even give you a """"ball park"""" fee/quote for even this most simple repair and that should have sent up a red flag for me as a consumer. So I had the Plumb Works technicians come over... they arrived on time (mostly) and quickly diagnosed the """"running toilet"""" (which took all of two minutes, that was a rough one)... they went out to their truck and returned with an estimate of ... are you ready for this? ... $247(!) along with a 'hard sell' for an extended service contract.Their estimate sheet/work order/receipt has an additional column on it showing you how much you will """"save"""" off the current service if you fork over another $80 for extended service contract. By this time you get the """"quote"""", you are already """"in"""" for the """"$69 service call"""" (in theory that is, ya gotta wonder how many people have sent them packing at this point...) then, during the time they are in your home, Plumb Works will try to diagnose all the rest of the plumbing problems they can find and want to fix them right then and there ... all the while pushing their """"service contract"""", which they call a Universal Service Agreement (""""USA"""", a silly Acronym for what should be referred to a Plumb Works Service Agreement... )They love this Agreement so much there is a box on the estimate sheet/work order/receipt with a 'stop sign' icon and bold letters proclaiming """"Want To Pay Less? Do you know by becoming a 'usa' member you will receive discounts on repair services and other valuable benefits..."""" Then, if you decline this valued service you have to initial the box... Wow! Way to Hard Sell, Plumb Works!!! I think the prices that Plumb Works is trying to charge are more appropriate for huge office buildings, restaurants and real estate other than common homes. We ain't the One Percent in this neighborhood... Plumb Works, get a clue. And here is the clue for you, Plumb Works ... Consider the number of irritated customers here and on Kudzu that you have left in your wake ... Multiply that number by the number of those who don't post ... And I would say it it high time to change your business practices and pricing structure. People don't appreciate being ripped off... Next stop: the BBB PS And of course they accept credit cards, how else are you going to pay these fees???

I usually don't do this, but I'm pissed! The guy just left my house. I knew I need a new water heater. Told him I have a very low budget. The lowest priced heater on Home Depot's site is about $329. They want to charge $1251.78 to supply and install, plus extra $154.98 for a code upgrade. (I'm fine with the upgrade). I have another plumber on the way, bringing water heater and will do the whole job including heater for $850. I just wasted $69 for a service call. I know they need to be paid for their time... I just wish I had that other plumber's name before this!

Failed to fix clogged toilet first time. Took advantage of my wife to hit us with an $850 charge to remove and unclog toilet. Unethical, dishonest and manipulative. Stay away!
