I contacted Plumb Masters to fix a kitchen water heater that was not heating. The heating coil had burned out. They came to fix it and all seemed fine, but then we had a leak the next day under our sink that had not been there before. When I called them back to come and fix that they scheduled someone fairly quickly and fixed the leak, but charged me for a service charge. I would have thought they would have either not charged or reduced the price of the second visit as that leak was not there before the first visit. When I left a message after thvisit about a copy of the receipt that they did not leave, I did not get a response.
Plumb masters provided copies of receipts upon second request.

Quick and friendly, they cleared out a nasty clog that was blocking everything. They even managed to schedule the appointment earlier than initially expected, so it got taken care of by mid-day instead of having to wait for the afternoon.

A company is entitled to set their own prices. We are entitled to opine on Yelp about those prices. Called Plumb Masters to run a camera through the cleanout as I had a blockage last week that was cleared out by another plumber who didn't have a camera. Plumb Masters quoted me $385. Called another plumbing outfit that has offices in several cities across Texas and their quote was half of Plumb Masters. Be sure to get quotes from other companies before going with Plumb Masters.

Utterly terrible service. Technician showed up miserable and complaining about the job. Quoted me double the price of numerous competitors so I said no thank you. They still charged me $90 just for him to drive to my house. Price and service was horrendous. Definitely avoid.

After calling 7 other plumbers on a Sunday morning I finally found Plumb Masters & I'm so glad! From my 1st call with Mandy to her ability to find a technician in less than 15 mins., I was so relieved. No one else answered their phones or returned my calls to the other businesses, even though they all say they work Sundays for emergent needs.
Within a couple of hrs. the greatest professional, Jason Van Pelt, came to my rescue. I had a leak outside my home by my foundation & was so worried there was a problem in the slab. Jason dug in horrible mud & removed giant 3 ft rocks until he saw that one of them had compromised a joint in the PVC pipe. He didn't give up until he found the culprit, even though the digging was extremely difficult & the rocks weighed a ton.
Further he was so cheerful, beyond courteous and he smiled the whole time! He kept assuring me that if the leak was too hard to find without a team to dig the whole line, that he'd be back with help. And, he kept saying that he wanted to make sure to save me money and would make the best decision for me. Fortunately, he found the leak himself and took care of everything. He was such a nice person in every way and I will request him for any future needs. Plumb Master is fortunate to have such a professional on their team!

Do NOT use Plumb Masters - I read questionable reviews saying that they were a scam, and couldn't agree more - I only wish I had listened! If it was possible to give 0 stars, I would. Here's the situation: needed a replacement cutoff valve and didn't want to wait for our regular plumber to do the job in a few days. Called Blue Dragon, who recommended Plumb Masters, and chatted with Phil, who said that they could have someone at our house within an hour. After waiting 45 minutes with no word from the tech, Geronimo (after Phil saying that Geronimo would contact me within 15 minutes to say he was en route), I called Phil back, and after chatting, finally got ahold of Geronimo, who said he was 45 minutes out. 45 minutes later, still no Geronimo at our residence, Geronimo said he's 30 minutes out due to traffic. I checked Google Maps from his location, and there was 0 traffic. Finally, he arrives (2.5 hours after promised), and says to replace a valve (which my regular plumber quoted me $100 to change), he comes back with $500. How is there possibly this price difference?! Why would I pay 5x the price for the exact same work? I didn't, and will be telling everyone I know NOT to use their services (unless they're comfortable with broken promises and inflated prices).

Mark is a professional con artist. He came out to give me a bid, I remodeled my bathroom and needed the trim in the shower installed, and 2 faucets and the plumbing connected on a new vanity. I had all the parts, I just needed a professional to install (labor only). Mark came to assess the work and wanted to charge me $1400 for everything. In the bid, he was charging me $750 just to install the faucets. Seriously!!! Mark tried telling me the job would take 5-6 hours! I had two other companies come out to bid the job and one company quoted $400 for everything and another quoted $425 for everyting. Both companies said it would take about 2-3 hours to complete.
The drastic difference of Master Plumbing bid compared to the other two companies was astonishing. I was so disgusted with Master Plumbing, I wanted to share my experience with the public! So, nobody falls prey to their lies and price gouging.
Always, try and get 3 quotes from professionals, but don't waste your time with Master Plumbing.

$500.00/hour ... REALLY???
I had a main line leak in front of my house resulting in ¾ of the sidewalk (on my side of the meter) being wet. This meant there was a possibility of the leak being under the sidewalk. Knowing there was a potential for the leak to go from bad to catastrophic once you dig out and reveal it and not wanting the house to be without water during the evening hours when the family is home and needing water, I decided to hire a plumber. After researching a decided to go with Plumb Masters Inc. due to high ratings with many reviews (although the vast majority of reviews for all plumbers appear to be concerned with simple issues like replacing a kitchen faucet or a stopped up toilet).
Afternoon of Sept19th I call and set up an appointment for Wed Sep 20th. The dispatched plumber calls and tells me they are 30 minutes out. 20 minutes later I arrive at the house and they are already there. His initial price quote is $1600. I guess the look on my face told him everything because he immediately starts describing how they will probably need to dig up both sides of the sidewalk and then underneath the sidewalk (worst case scenario). After a bit of back and forth his price comes down to $1093.71. At this point I am left with a choice of paying him $90 to leave and pay someone else $90 to come out and bid on the job (which may or may not have ben similar pricing and would have added more time to getting the issue fixed) or agree to the price.
After agreeing, they start digging. They had to dig next to one side of the sidewalk about 3 feet long and a foot wide to find the leak (BEST case scenario). A cracked PVC elbow replaced, fill the dirt back into the hole and the job is done 2 hours after I arrived back at the house...everything appears to be good...BUT he did not discount the repair price at all even though it was best case scenario instead of worst case. $1093.71 late and I just paid over $500.00 per hour even after the few parts necessary to fix the problem.
I leave and take the kids to soccer. 2.5 hours later I arrive home to find a river running down the road from my house. I tell the kids to immediately take showers while I call Plumb Masters back out. Luckily, everyone had finished showers before the plumbers returned (back to the water shut off in the evening which is what I was trying to avoid in the first place). Another 2 hours and we are fixed again. He claims it was a different joint but the boss agreed to warrantee it as the same repair. Maybe it was just the fact that it was late but it sounded like he was trying to tell me the company was doing me a favor. Damn right is should be warranted, I Have a leak in the same area I told you to fix. Either it was not fixed or you caused another problem when you were putting the dirt back in the hole. Most of this time for the second call was spent digging the hole (again), waiting for the glue to dry, and re-filling the hole.
I believe the whole practice of charging $90.00 just to come out and quote a price is just done so they will be able to jack up their prices with little to no competition. Who is going to pay $90 multiple times just to get quotes when most of the requests for plumbers should be less than $200.00.
I believe the going rate for plumbers in the Austin area is around $150.00 per hour. Quoting a job as if it will take 6 to 10 hours to complete and being done in 2 and still charging the full price just makes for EXTREAMLY dissatisfied customers. This whole job was nothing I could not have done myself...it would not have been the first time. I paid someone else because I did not want the family to be without water in the evening...and that happened anyway.

I was referred to Plumb Master by another plumber who said that if I had an older home that it would be better to contact Plumb Master. They returned my call same day. They had somebody out next day. The two gentleman that showed up were incredibly professional, very clean, and easily fixed the four plumbing issues that I had. It seems like this organization that has their process down, has good plumbers, and good follow up. I'll definitely be calling them back.

what a great experience! Clay, Jay & Andy are a great group of guys! Professional and down to earth combined. I would wholeheartedly recommend this company to everyone. They were out to our home on the same day I called and got the job done efficiently.
