My wife and I have been working with Oscar and Plumb Loco since finding them in the GSDBA guide in 2010. Oscar has spent a lot of time fixing various plumbing issues at our house: water lines, gas lines, replacing our water heater, etc., and is always willing to give us his expert advice if we have a general plumbing question.

Two weeks ago, we called him out to perform annual maintenance on our tankless water heater. Since San Diego has especially hard water, we need to get our unit flushed annually to keep the water heater functioning normally. During the routine visit, Oscar noticed that the unit was leaking, which, of course, isn't normal. We were able to get the manufacturer to replace the leaking unit entirely, but now the new unit isn't functioning as expected. Over the past two weeks, Oscar has been to our home at least four times, working with us and Takagi technical support to test various components of the unit, tirelessly troubleshooting all possible issues and resolutions. All through this process, Oscar has been professional and - undoubtedly - our advocate. He even called last night at 7:30 to follow up with us and see how the unit was functioning. What great service!

We look forward to having a long professional relationship with Oscar and his crew. These guys are the best!

Our water heater valve controller died (and thus no water was heating anymore) so we needed to get a new valve installed ASAP. Called Oscar at Plumb Loco and he was actually able to come over within the hour. I realize this isn't always the case depending on scheduling, but I got lucky since he was finishing up a job and said he could come over to install the new valve that same morning. He arrived when he said he would and knew exactly what to do to drain our water heater and replace the valve controller. Took just under 2 hours and everything was working again, hot water restored! He even warned us that dark cruddy water would likely come out of the tub since we hadn't drained the water heater in 6 years (hint: you're supposed to do it more often than that!) so he suggested we run the bathroom rub for a bit, and sure enough it was basically black water coming out for a few minutes before it cleared up. Thank goodness he told us that otherwise we would've been standing under that water next time we took a shower. Overall Oscar was great and I'd highly recommend him.

It's been several years now that I have used Plumb Loco and I can honestly say that Oscar continues to excel at solving my plumbing issues. He has been consistent in his professionalism, respectfulness and punctuality and is the only plumber that I will trust with my home. His schedule can get quite busy at times. Nonetheless, on more than one occasion, he has called me to tell me that he just got an opening in his schedule and can come ahead of appointed time. How nice is that! I called Oscar at 11:30 AM on a Monday, and he was at my house at 2:30. He correctly guessed what the problem was from my description on the phone - loud pipes caused by a bad pressure regulator. He thoroughly assessed and diagnosed the problem when he arrived, and gave me a fair estimate. He replaced the pressure regulator within a couple hours - problem solved, no complications. I won't hesitate to call Plumb Loco for my next plumbing project.

Oscar saved me this past Friday. I had a badly clogged pipe from my kitchen sink. He did a terrific job, along with his apprentice, Memo. Oscar is always professional, on time, and seems to always have a cheerful manner. He is the best!

This was my first time to use Oscar as I am new to San Diego and my new home. I had him come do a routine maintenance on my tankless hot water heater and two minutes into the project, a release valve broke off in his hand. A 30 minute project turned into a much longer project as he had to replace the valve. He did a great job and a very fair price given the extra time he had to dedicate to the project. No question he will be my go-to plumber.
