I had a plumbing emergency as a broken water heater was flooding and damaging my building.Kevin let me know the estimated cost and was able to make my situation a priority. He was a skilled plumber and did an excellent job.

I made the mistake of calling Plumb Line back to install a vanity on my second floor the following month of writing my original review. THEY FLOODED MY HOUSE.

I ordered a vanity that had three wide, sliding drawers.Kevin informed me that the piping would need to be altered for it to fit properly. I paid for him to change the piping within the walls, alter the vanity so that the drawers would fit, and he also installed new shut off valves and altered their location.

After he removed the original vanity and piping, nothing remained that wasn't installed by him.

His failed installation resulted in my entire two-story home flooding and my family being homeless for over 6 months. It has almost been a year, and we still haven't recovered.

Because the business wasn't picking up the phone at the time of the incident, I called my insurance company. Afterward, Kevin verbally admitted fault and offered to pay me partially for my insurance deductible in front of a witness. I had enough sense to decline his offer, but he admitted fault nonetheless.

Nearly a year later, he's changed his entire story and is pretending to not know anything about the incident.

If I were reading this review, I wouldn't need much more information to put this company on a list of businesses not to use, but just in case you do:

Are you willing to risk your home suffering damages that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars?

Are you willing to risk having to live in nearly a dozen different hotels, motels, and apartments within 6 six month timeframe?


Oh, and imagine doing all of this during the height of COVID-19.

This was my first time using Plumb line and I would definitely call them again.
Kevin was held up on another job but let me know promptly, showed up *wearing a surgical mask*, and did a thorough job. Despite using power tools, he left the bathroom cleaner than when he got here. Pricing was fair for the quality of work.

Awesome plumber. I had been dealing with a terrible general contractor who hired a terrible plumber. The main sewage drain was clogged and had to be replaced. Kevin came told me exactly what the problem was and fixed it a very timely manner. Very professional company/owner with expertise and great pricing.

I needed a plumber to replace the lead water line coming into my 1922 house near Battery Park in Richmond. I looked on Yelp and put in a ""request"" through the Yelp Request a quote section. I got several responses. Kevin came by the same day we talked, had a quote to me immediately which was the best price of the other 2 quotes I got which took longer and once we agreed to work together, he had a contract to me immediately, got the permit the next business day and worked with the City to get them to send their crew to change out the water meter. He had the interior work prepped within a day and finished the work as soon as he was able to get the City to come change the meter. I would highly recommend Plumb Line Plumbing. Kevin also was helpful in signing the paperwork and getting me all the pictures I needed of the work to apply for the City reimbursement grant.
