After PLUMB GENIUS didn't show for our 10-2 appt, with no call or text, I asked my boyfriend to call to find out what was going on. (I was in an all day training and couldn't make the call
Myself.) They apparently told him a tech didn't show up AND their Internet was down. Apparently they don't have a backup system to alert customers in these situations.

Due to still needing the plumber, it was rescheduled for 1-5 today.

We were able to get in touch with RotoRooter who actually answered their phones, and could come out the same day.

So I called Plumb Genius SEVERAL times to cancel the work order. However, they didn't answer their phone, and their voicemail was full.

I just got a text letting me know the plumber was on the way. Shoot! Totally forgot! So I called and said we'd had the appt for yesterday, but had to call Roto-Rooter, paying 3x our warranty fee, and to cancel the appointment. Holy cow! This woman flipped out!

She said ""if it was an emergency why didn't you let us come out on Tuesday?"" Because we work. You know, to make money to pay the plumber. She said it must not have been an emergency at all. It wasn't an emergency on Tuesday, but had escalated to the point we couldn't shower or flush. To me, that's an emergency.

That she doesn't understand that plumbing issues can go from merely annoying to emergency status is concerning. Perhaps she just started working there.

THEN she called me back to swear at me! And point out that someone had rescheduled yesterday for today (yes bc we didn't know our options at the time and wanted an appointment on the books--not that appointments really seem to matter with Plumb genius. I told her since it was an emergency, we called RotoRooter, who answered their phones and were able to schedule the service. She continued to berate me and when I asked for her supervisor she claimed she wasn't there, that she would talk to me in the same manner, and refused to give me her supervisors name or number of course.

Charming experience. I'll be sure to let my warranty company know of their ""service"".

I would leave negative stars if that was an option. By far the worst customer service and quality of work not completed. Doesn't matter If you talk to the receptionist, the office manager, or the actual owner, they simply do not care about customers. After 1 month of politely calling to get updates, which they never actually return calls or follow up, we are on month 2 still without a sink. Please please please do not trust them for your home or plumbing needs.

Jerred T. is a life saver, its the middle of the snow storm with no hot water. My pipes ended up freezing, he showed me that there was a hole in the closet where my heater was located and recommended I patch it, because freezing air coming in from the outside and was what was causing my pipes to freeze. He also checked to make sure everything else was working properly. And finally my hot water was back on.

""What services did they perform"" is an interesting question to ask and leads me into my horrible experience with this company. I answered that question with ""Repair Pipe"" but they quite literally did the opposite. Plumb Genius was called to repair a gas leak at my house from American Home Shield. The first appointment available was 5 days after I requested service. The plumber pulls up to my house (fully equipped with the knowledge that the gas was turned off by ONG, as it could have killed my family living in a house for 5 days with active gas leaking) and he stated that I was going to have to pay $375 for an air pressure test to find the leak as it was not going to be covered by American Home Shield. I scheduled another appointment with Plumb Genius, their earliest appointment was 6 days after the first (where the technician was paid a $125 service fee for absolutely 0 work done. Never even stepped foot inside). They come to my property for the 2nd time to run the test that I was paying out of pocket for. They arrived at my home at 2:30 and were there until 7pm. Their claim to me was that they had found 2 leaks but there was a 3rd that they could not locate. They swore up and down that the only spot it could be was in the fireplace and they needed a special tool to get to the leak in the fireplace. (It was late and they wanted to go home. There is no special tool required to move gas logs and look for a leak). Myself and the home warranty company demanded to them that they needed to come out the next morning to repair as it had been 12 full days with no hot water, cooking, laundry, dishwasher, heat. They called me to make the appointment and stated that ""American Home Shield denied the claim to fix the 3rd leak and it was going to be $575 out of pocket, and $275 to open each valve that they closed."" They never once mentioned that closing the valve (to keep the regulator safe) would result in a $275 fee to open again, times 2! The total was going to be $1250 out of pocket on top of the $375 Air Pressure test and $125 service fee. This is absolutely absurd. I cancelled their appointment and had an actually reputable plumber come to my house. Come to find out, the air pressure test is covered by the home warranty and they charged me to shut a valve and for a permit. They lied about what the $375 fee was for so that the customer would pay it and not know what they were talking about. Within the first 10 minutes of him being there, he found the gas leak. The leak was where Plumb Genius had claimed to completely repair it! They lied about the repair so that the air pressure test would show there was still an active leak, so that American Home Shield would deny the claim, and they would get $1250 out of my pocket. This is illegal, unethical, and disgusting. I have filed an FTC fraud complaint, BBB complaints, and I have filed a police report. There have been multiple lawsuits against Plumb Genius, check OSCN for more information on those. This is clearly a common reoccurrence with their company and I couldn't say a single good thing about them. Read the hundreds of reviews on Google, Yelp, BBB, Facebook groups, and so on. I have images and proof from others, including ONG, that they lied about making repairs to squeeze money out of this job. I am appalled, disgusted, and I hope that the police investigate this company to their full ability and find that they are stealing from customers.

Plumb Genius is a dishonest company. AHS sent these uprofessional, unethical plumbers to fix a water leak from a kitchen faucet; the tech who showed up looked at it for a couple seconds and told my wife the work would no be covered by the warranty. The estimate to replace the faucet was $760; AHS stated that the plumber didn't recorded the findings and that was the reason why they could not approve/denied the repairs. After multiple phone calls to AHS, another plumber from Plumb Genius was send out; the guy was rude and highly unprofessional, he spent more time on the phone that working on the faucet, he left the house without telling my wife if he was coming back or not. When I called AHS to get an updated, I was told that the plumber found out that the faucet was not ""propertly installed"" and that's way they denied the repairs. I called Plumb Genius to get more details about their diagnostic, but the recepcionist was so rude that I was unable to ""talk"" to her. Do not use this company!

If I could give 0 stars I would. We had to use this company because of our warranty. The units guy who showed up looked at the whole thing for 2 seconds and told me it was going to be about $1600 to get things back up to code. We scheduled the repairs on their schedule, and they cancelled. The second appointment they called and cancelled as well. When they finally made it they did half the work and didn't tell us that was their goal. I received a call a few weeks later saying it ""failed inspection"" and a supervisor needed to come back out and fix it again. The ""supervisor"" was the same person who installed everything to begin with. He allegedly fixed everything, but didn't even tell us he was finished. He just left. Didn't say a thing to us. Left our garage door open and just vanished. I still don't know if everything is installed properly or if it is safe to use. I'm probably going to cancel my home warranty over this company.

USE SOMEONE ELSE. 1st- They are not honest and the tech who came to our house was incompetent and a liar. 2nd- They are not even skilled enough to change out a garbage disposal. 3rd - Their management are a bunch of cowards who would not even speak to us because He/She knew they where wrong and instead maid their poor receptionist call us back. DON'T USE THIS CLOWNS OUR YOU WILL BE WASTING YOUR MONEY

If you have a home warranty- do not let these people in your house! They lie and will do anything to get your claim denied- so they can charge you at a much higher rate for work you may not need! I made my company send out a second opinion company and my claim was covered!

They were two hours late, left my faucet worse than when they came. I tried to get them back to fix it and they told me I should get another plumber. I filed a BBB claim and they lied in their response. I ended my claim and fixed the problem myself.
