I have used Plumb Doctor once before. When I called, they wanted $49 to stop by and take a look at the project I was considering to use them for (a small bathroom renovate)...I had to argue that out. They stopped by without it, and I hired them. They did a good job, no complaints, so +2 stars for that. I now have a larger Kitchen renovation, and called for an estimate. They said that for $49, they could stop by...It reminds me of arguing with AT&T each year for my cable bill. That's why I cut the cable. First impressions are important, and to nickel-n-dime your prospective customers is a bad start. They lost me as a repeat customer. I have had a few well-reviewed plumbers now stop by and provide an estimate, without a fee. Definitely shop around, there are good plumbers out there willing to stop by and estimate a job without charging you. If you can't find another, then this is a good $49 fall-back option.

A bit of a lengthy review ahead, but the bottom line up front is that Plumb Doctor was incredible, and if I could give Brian and crew more than 5 stars, I would. In the process of selling my house, my buyer sent their home inspector to do his thing. In doing the inspection, he managed to run so much water, for so long, that it began to back up into the basement. I was an hour away and received a panicked phone call from my realtor, and on my way back to the house, I called Plumb Doctor. Not only did Brian beat ME to the house (arriving within 25 minutes of my call), he began diagnosing the problem before I arrived. Unfortunately for me, Brian uncovered roots in the sewer line of our 45 year old house. Not uncommon for clay pipe to be past its serviceable life. After running a camera down the line, he concluded that we needed at least a portion of the sewer line replaced. He showed me the blockages on the camera and gave me a fair price. Next morning, Brian and crew were here with all of the necessary equipment, waiting on utilities to come locate. Once that fiasco got sorted out, they got to work. It didn't take them long to hit a yellow jacket's nest. After getting stung a couple times, and handling that problem, they got back at it. Because of how our utilities were in the ground, plus fighting the yellow jackets, it became clear that this was not going to get done on Friday. Saturday morning, bright and early, Brian was back with 4 other guys to finish the job. Once they found the original blockage, there was more bad news for me: the whole sewer line needed replaced to the street. After spending 12 hours on a Saturday in the July heat, he took the additional time to try and compact down the dirt and level the landscaping out to make that repair job as painless as possible. Throughout the two days that Plumb Doctor was at my house, all of the guys were nice, courteous, professional, and working hard. If I weren't moving out of state, they would be my plumber from here on out. Incredibly pleased and impressed.

I would give Plumb Doctor 10 stars if I could. You can't beat their customer service. They go above and beyond, are extremely knowledgable and very professional. We had a plumbing emergency (flooded basement), and they responded immediately to help us. I'm sure their schedule was fully booked, but the whole team jumped in to support us. Brian and a few of his other guys even worked through the weekend and late into the evenings to help us fix the problem. We are so grateful for them, and recommend them highly!

I need to update my review. After a good experience for one issue, I called about a leak in my kitchen. Basically, they came out but did not actually address the issue and when I recontacted them to say I still had a leak (after charging me a lot of money to address something that was NOT the source), they put me on for several days later. Needless to say, I called another plumber ASAP and the original problem was appropriately addressed. I'm sorry to say I had this negative experience but I won't be calling them in the future. I probably lost $600 or more invite process.

beware of this company...a cloged sewer pipe turned into a $1300 partial sewer line replacement. there was not anything wrong with the pipe. total ripoff.

if you need a plumber, do not call plumb doctor!! they were the most unprofessional people i have ever dealt with in all of my 71 years. the person who came to my house for no hot water left the water on to a leaking hot water heater and refused to come back. i think they did not know how to do the job but do not trust them!!

Used plumb doctor as they had good reviews but I was very disappointed. Came out and said they needed to order parts for the two repairs we needed and we would hear next day. 2 weeks later and I had to call them as I had not heard from them. She told me her son was working real hard trying to find the parts but could not so could i call to try and find them OR they could just replace both things completely. Ha! Replace two things that did not need replacing, just fixing. I would not recommend or use again ever.

All of the failings of my 1980's home show themselves on weekends or holidays, so when a huge root of my enormous Bartlett pear tree finally grew to the size required to rupture my water supply line, of course it did so on Friday night. When I was alerted to the geyser in my front yard by a neighbor on Saturday, I had no choice but to give the job to the first plumber to answer my stress-loaded call. After three useless voicemail responses, I dialed the Plumb Doctor, and the doctor was in--in Kennesaw where I live. Without going into the grimy, frustrating details, I will just summarize the problem. There were two problems with the pressure regulator: it got clogged up by dirt that got into the line when the split was repaired. So after the repair the water flowed, but after after 10 seconds it slowed to a trickle. By the time I had discovered I discovered the problem the plumbers were on their way home. On Sunday I bought a new regulator and on Monday morning Brandon, the Plumb Doctor owner came out to install it. Incredibly, even now the flow rate was far slower than what we were accustomed to. So I called Brandon again, and he came out again. How was this possible? This time the answer was that what we had held to be normal water pressure was really abnormal, probably because the original regulator had failed, even before we moved into the house 13 years ago, so what we thought was normal pressure was actually 100 pounds of street-level pressure. So the problem was solved by simply tweaking the pressure adjustment knob on the regulator valve and valving down our expectations to a new normal. The important point is that Brandon took the responsibility for the snafu and made two friendly, cordial, additional house calls without a complaint and without charging me anything for the time and effort that he, the owner, had donated. That is my main takeaway from the experience and the reason why I will never call another plumber: If any loose ends are left unattended on an unusual job, the Plumb Doctor will do whatever is necessary to rectify the problem and reduce the customer's stress level. The Plumb Doctor operation is also otherwise first rate.

They just want your money. The water bill on a retail building I own went from $240 to $900 one month so we obviously had a leak. Cobb Water didn't find a problem at the meter, no surface water visible, no toilets running. So I called Plumb Doctor and explained to the receptionist that I needed someone to look for a leak. Okay, great, we'll have someone there in 2 hours. I couldn't be there so I left a check with someone to pay him once he found and repaired the leak, He shows up, tells her he'll look around, then comes back and says he doesn't see water anywhere. We should call a leak detection company and here are 3 companies that do that. What?!? And here's your bill for a service call. Again, what?!? She was in a bad spot so she wrote the check. Later I called them for an explanation and the receptionist said she would have the owner call me to discuss. I never got a call but I got a card in the mail thanking me for my business. So I wrote a note on the card explaining my disappointment and mailed it back. Still never heard from the owner. As a business owner myself, I would be ashamed if my company treated people this way. Guess they don't need repeat customers.

Ok first let's all agree Plumbing issues suck and they're expensive to fix. But this company went above and beyond! They are up front about cost, options and what needs to be done. Everyone we spoke with or that came to the house was professional, knowledgeable and did an excellent job! It's a small family owned business that does a ton of work in the metro area and I can see why! Were pretty thorough on research and not only we're their prices comparable or cheaper the licensing, training and continued training that's required of the employees is impressive! Our clogged sink wasn't an easy fix. We're just grateful we found The Plumb Doctor because we know anywhere else it wouldn't have been fixed and we'd have been charged a lot more.
